I LOVED the extended finale. This scene and also the one where Morgan shows sarah the video montage make the final scene of the episode so much more poignant and satisfying. These 2 scenes give a clear voice to Sarah's resistance to giving things another try and her inability to comprehend the life that she had with chuck. These moments where she tragically refuses to accept the last 5 years and embrace chuck's love make it so deeply meaningful when she finally says, "chuck, tell me our story".
Yeah, I agree, it´s such a relief in the end when she listens and wants to konw. You can see here in her expressions she just doesn´t want to be distracted and is touched, but it is nice to see Chuck gets her back and she gets him back, too :)
I understood that even w/o extended scene she clearly recognizes that her life is destroyed by quinn and wants revenge and when chuck tries to talk to her she never asks him about their life she just wants to concentrate on the mission and take revenge it's personal for her and she thinks that being emotional will jeopardize the mission along with the fact that she is scared to learn about the life she had and is unsure about herself and has a hard time believing in herself and trusting chuck because thats what her spy training and living alone taught her she wants to figure it out herself and is shutting down every one only at thr end she realizes that when she finds herself at the beach as her subconscious mind takes her there and finding out its importance makes her believe in her self and th3 decisions she took so she finally opens up to chuck nd starts trusting him and asks him for their story that was the turning point and she rediscovers herself and reconnects with their story and is deeply moved by the things and experiences they went thru thats why even though she laughs at morgans idea of magical kiss when chuck is about to say i dont know if it ...she stops him and tell him to kiss her ..because she knows now who she wants to be, she wants to have that life again nd be that woman and to have that love again with hopes that maybe she will remember everything but she knows enough now to decide that they were meant for each other..... although this 2 scenes give much needed explanation, Morgan idea wasnt wrong but it want correct time to show her the montage her life wasn't a movie . One of the reason she came back for help was to try to remember anything it didn't work in castle but she remembered stuff with chuck re arranging cups and irene demova even she didn't know that she remembered it...even ellie idea of loading the video and photos in her mind via intersect wouldnt work because it would be just like replaying them in her mind with no context she had to come on terms with herself and let chuck help her remember stuff
Im 2 years late. Just finished watching, but this is the best comment I seen on this. I agree 100%. Also there’s no way they just erased 5 seasons of her character. in this scene she’s not being mean, She’s speaking in soft voice. She just wants to focus on the mission. She wants her life back but not right now.
