When I was in 3rd grade, my school bus got rear-ended. This happened a few weeks after 9/11, so some kids on the bus freaked out and yelled “It’s a terrorist attack!”

My first day of highschool, a bus stopped in front of my house. Thinking it was my bus and that it was early, I got on. Long story short, turns out it was the wrong bus and it took me to a completely different school. After I arrived at the other school, I got on another bus that took me to my school. Somehow I made it to my first period on time. Weirdest thing was that same bus stopped at my house for the next few days.

Lol, reminds me of my 3rd grade, it was bean burrito day at lunch, and me and my friends were having a burping contest. (I was losing by a lot, but no-one was really keeping track.) Then all of the sudden, out of the first grade tables, there was a good 10 second long burp, that resonated throughout the whole cafeteria. (1st and 3rd grade ate lunch together, and so did 2nd and 4th.) It was, to our 3rd grade brains, the most ridiculous thing.

We were coming back from a field trip when our bus breaks down on the side of the high way. The teachers are running around trying to fix the issues while we all just talked. 20-30 minutes later we are still stuck here when the choir leader/ jock/ top student/ everyone’s friend starts singing Uptown Funk. Within seconds the entire bus is filled with everyone singing Uptown Funk. We had kids doing the acapella, some kids dancing in the aisle, surprising in sync singing from everyone else. On the line “girls hit your hallelujah” all the guys would stop and just the girls would do the “wooh.” It was legitimately like a planned flash mob. Best part is, this was a small, private Christian school. So there was a mixture of the clean and normal version being sung but no one cared. We all continued to sing various songs for the next 2 hours before we arrived back at the school, but it never reached the hype level of Uptown Funk there after.

My most memorable school bus moment was when we were going on a field trip and like half the kids were sleeping so the bus driver decided to scare all of them by pulling out that weird bus driver mic (you know the thing) and just scream as loud as he could. I was awake and even I was scared. I saw everything he was doing and it still scared me. But tbh he is probably one of the most like members in that school. Just barely passing that cool janitor who does pull ups on the monkey bars for kids enjoyment. But I don’t know what happens at that school anymore because I haven’t gone there in 4 years.

We would lay down on the seats and when he would hit it you would have to hold your hands up to stop yourself from smacking the ceiling. It all came to an end when a new kid on the bus didn't know what "hit the bump meant" and racked his head on the roof. Got a concussion. I miss those rides so much sometimes :(

There was many moments on my bus. Like when a jerk at the back grabbed my friends head and slammed it into a metal seat (she was fine, she just had a bloody nose). Also someone called my friend a pig so we got as many people as possible to wear pink just so that we could tell that girl that being a pig was cool and she was lame for not being a pig. But, the most memorable moment was when a high school kid brought citric acid and all the older jerk kids snorted it. I have never seen so many kids cry and I am still so happy. Their faces were amazing, they were crying and their eyes were red. I hated my bus, but that one moment makes me so happy.

    Here's one I had:
So one day on the bus ride home from school we were all just hanging out and talking as usual. One kid was scrolling through TikTok and then a post came up that was a girl bending and her pants ripped, exposing her behind. Of course, us being the 8th graders we are, we yelled out "He's watching porn!" and everyone was talking about it. Then the bus pulls over and the bus driver starts walking in the aisle. He was Hispanic but didn't speak English very well. He goes to the kid and looks at him and says, in his strong accent, "Why are you watching the pornographics?"
Everyone on the bus broke into laughter.

At my old elementary school academic team meets, our school was talking together. One girl really liked Queen, and I said that we should start a “We Will Rock You” chant since the awards were delayed. I started clapping and stomping and my school joined in. All of our school started singing, and a lot of the other schools started joining us. When we stopped, everyone stopped. This other school stole the idea and started doing it about 20 minutes later, it didn’t catch on. After that we played Red Rover, but that’s a whole other thing. I felt really good about that, knowing that I did something so cool in fifth grade.

I remember that when I was riding the bus too an after school club, there were a group of students in the back ( like, 4-3 rows ) that would never shut up and the bus driver had to always shut them up. One day when the bus got too the place, he held me and the group back so we all had to stay, and told me to stand up, he then proceeded to put his hand on my shoulder and say “ ALL OF YOU, IVE HAD ENOUGH “ he then shakes me to pull everyone’s attention towards me “ YOU ALL SHOULD LEARN TO BE LIKE THIS GENTLEMAN RIGHT HERE! “ it certainly was a good day.

When I was in 6th grade, our bus loved annoying the driver, who was a cranky old man with a weird temper. Well, one time, we started screaming and going crazy, which made the bus go in weird directions. Then, our driver almost hit 2 cats crossing the road, so he slamming the brakes and 3 kids flew to the front. We ended up getting rear-ended and smoke was coming out of the engine. One kid smashed a window and then passed out. That was pretty much the best bus ride experience I have ever had, and i still have the same bus driver.

Ohhhh, the stories I could tell for this. The one I vividly remember was a few years back just before I owned a car in secondary school. Me and my brother would often get the bus to and from home together. In the afternoon it was often packed to the brim with all the kids from the schools further into the city and the adults who worked there who were returning home. Most of the kids from my school would all flock to the same bus stop on the edge of town across the park which was opposite side of school. We'd often then push and shove each other to get onto the bus, often without swiping our travel cards because the bus was so full we literally couldn't reach past people to get to the reader.
Anyhow, this particular day the adults on the bus decided to practically hog the entire lower floor and refused to move when the crowed of students hopped on. I remember my brother getting into a vicious row with a lightly older man and a woman, the former stating he'd 'teach my brother a lesson' which basically meant he was going to hit my brother and the pair wouldn't back off from my brother who continued to row back and forth with them. Cue instant big brother mode and I got in between them stating that the man would have to go through me first and my brother stating he'd call the police on him for assaulting a child. Eventually the adults all backed off upon seeing the army of students who literally looked as if they were about to jump them should they try anything. They witnessed all this and most of which actually knew my brother or were his friends at the time. I distinctly remember there was a chorus of boos as the adults responsible for the confrontation all got off in the town center.

This made me remember a story I had forgotten.
I used to go to a babysitter's house after school, because obviously my parents worked and me and my brother couldn't be left alone.
We had to go on a new bus, and this one was wild. Kids yelling crap at each other across the aisles, all of it.
There was a boy in my class who rode that bus, he had autism (L). Loud noises really bothered him.
Another boy (B) in my class (he was always a good person) attempted to quiet down the bus for the kid. It mostly worked, and we were almost at the babysitter's house.
Then that jackass (T) stands up from his seat, turns around, and starts yelling at L. T was a year younger, and everybody knew his parents did drugs and shit like that a lot, though that doesn't excuse his behavior, it does offer more of an explanation as to why. The kid constantly smelled like smoke.
He starts taunting him and yelling "You like this?". At this point, L was crying, and everybody on that damn bus was telling T to shut the hell up. He didn't.
The bus driver slammed on the brakes in the middle of the road and called T to the front.
Bill had always been a quiet man, a bit strict, but not paid enough to actually do anything.
T smirked as he went up because obviously nobody could do anything about it.
He gets to the front, and Bill says some things in a whisper, T just rolled his eyes. T got two inches before Bill grabbed him by the back of his shirt, choking him for a few seconds, and said " Don't you ever do that again".
For a split second, there was genuine fear in T's eyes.
    He didn't do it again.

He would give us Christmas ornaments with the bus number on it the day before Christmas break and on the last day of school, he'd had out "awards" for each student. It was usually something that showcased part of the student's personality. One year my sister and her friend got the "Beavis and Butthead" award because they were kinda roudy and mischievous. One year I got the "running girl" award because that year when I'd get off the bus, I'd start running towards my house to try to get to my mailbox before the bus passed me. He'd play along in my little race and honk his horn as he passed me. We both got so excited the day I actually won the race. The year I got my driver's license, I got the "I miss you," award.

I was new to the bus and the whole school to be precise, I sat next to two girls who were already friends, they were first to talk to me, we became good friends for a year but one girl stop talking to us and the other one had to move schools 2 years later. I’ll never forget them

This was at my school, not me but another student:
So basically lets call him adam, adam stole one of our teachers phones and blamed it on someone else, got caught, and expelled.

When I was in 4th grade it was the end of the day and everyone was going home or to their after-school program. I remember walking to the front of the school with a few friends and seeing the bus rocking side to side. The problem is, the kids riding the bus weren't rocking it on the outside but inside the bus. Up until now, I'm trying to figure out how they managed to do that.

i don't take the bus to school, so here's one from a field trip:
i was sitting next to a chaperone, and eventually made smalltalk, we ended up talking about our dogs and they showed me a few pictures of their dogs.

I got into a fight with a kid older than me (2 years) and it got pretty bad... to a point where I punched the kid out of the bus back door by breaking the window, we weren’t moving if you were wondering.

🤣my bus the little 2nd graders in the front would just start punching and kicking each other and the 5th and 6th graders would just hype them up I’ll just say our principal road the bus a lot and everyone was terrified for there lives when she was on... we usually are screaming and breaking all rules known to the students when she road it was like a bus of Angeles without mouths

Funny thing, my most memorable memory of riding the bus to school actually didn't occur while on the bus. I, along with a bunch of other kids were actually waiting for it to arrive...it didn't arrive until like, an hour and a half later. It was also winter time and in addition to being cold, there was lots of snow and ice on the ground. Slippery ice. The kind where if you so much as stepped on it (which we all had to do in order to get to our bus stop), your foot would slide and you'd have to instinctively find a way to regain your balance in order to prevent yourself from falling.
God knows why school wasn't cancelled that day, because I remember a boy actually calling the school after fifteen minutes passed (our bus driver was incredibly punctual, so we all knew something was up when he didn't arrive to pick us up but waited a bit in the off chance he was actually late) and I kid you not, the school told him: "One of the buses crashed in the parking loop of the school (specifically in front of the only entrance / exit there)," and that the bus will be a "bit" late but to "not worry and stay at the bus stop,"
Of course, we were all like "fuck this. School should be cancelled then. Smh." upon hearing that and we're extremely tempted to go home...but it meant going down an incredibly slippery and ice hill because our bus stop sat on top of that. And having nearly broken bones trying to get to the bus stop, none of us wanted to risk breaking a neck trying to go down it. So, we all stayed there.

Best thing I have is that the bus driver for the bus I rode to my high school tried to turn around in a driveway that was raised above the grass (I live out in the country to be clear). Didn't go well, she got stuck at a close to 45-degree angle and we had to wait like 20 minutes for a backup. Texted my mother to try and get home sooner, she was like "Nah just wait it out". Meanwhile all the younger kids were panicking about the possibility the bus would fall over like a cow...

I see a lot of people sharing their school bus stories, so here’s mine :)
My friend and I were in sixth grade and on the bus to school, talking about who knows what when all of a sudden we hear a loud _BANG!_ noise. We were obviously shocked and were like “um what the heckers” and when we looked outside the window we saw A CAR THAT SMASHED INTO THE SIDE OF THE BUS. Everyone was freaking out and some kids were screaming everyone forgot the bus safety rules and I’m pretty sure some kids called their parents to pick them up and I think some kids just tried to straight up LEAVE THE BUS. The police were called (obviously it was a crash) and we had to give the police our full names and for some reason it took flipping forever to do that fsr. After a while we FINALLY got to finish going to school, school buses actually have really hard outer frames? Armour? Shield? But yeah you get what I mean so because of that there was no damage to the bus but there was to the car. According to my friend the person who’s car crashed into the bus seemed to be a teenager who had a scared expression on his face because he literally just rammed his car into a school bus and by his reaction probably by accident although tbf the part of the street we were on was an intersection to I could see how that crash would happen. But yeah we surprisingly only ended up being 30 minutes late to school.
BONUS: Bus broke down on the way to school and we had to switch buses in the middle of the street lmao
TL;DR *school bus got hit and we were late to school and might have a criminal record*

Rickrolled the bus. That was me. Also had a little party. Belting out lyrics to whatever song was playing on the radio. Bus full of excited teenagers, one with access to the Bluetooth on the bus. Song requests, just chaos. Just imagine a big group of hyped up 17 and 18 year olds loudly singing "I got a feeling" by The Black Eyed Peas.

Please please please read it all you won’t forget or regret it
    Let’s go
Ok so we have a few people onto bus (middle and high school) who still think the bus driver won’t catch them if they vape on the bus. So whenever he starts yelling about smelling vape I spray my perfume/hand sanitizer or anything else and always end up getting in trouble for it but at least they aren’t in trouble right?
Last year some of the guys (8th - 10th) had a spit ball war. Yea I know. The guy next to me spit them on the ceiling ABOVE US and after all was said and done. We blamed a 7th grader and the bus driver hated him for at least a week.
A few days ago a guy chased the bus to throw a coke bottle as it because someone put it in his bag when he left
We have one guy who always forgets stuff. Sweat shirt phone BACKPACK you name it. He forgot it.
We have a girl the grade below me who brought fake drugs on Halloween last year and dressed as six nine. The bus driver took the drugs and she’s still angry. She also pierced her tongue, and nose on the bus the same day she snorted something that to this day we have no idea what it was.
A girl took guys phones to DM my best friends boyfriend asking him out everyday for like weeks.
Today. Pencil/spit ball/paper ball WAR the bus driver hates us. The guy I say next to was the supplier so needless to say I was right in cross fire. It. Was. Great.
A guy in my great hates his last name. Needless to say we all called him his full name. One day the driving got so mad he stopped for a good 7-8 minutes and sat there till we stopped calling him by his full name.
Had a guy (3 years older than me) lecture me on texting boys in 6th grade because he had nothing better to do. I to this day don’t text boy while on that bus.
Phones are stolen tea is spilt.
6th grade clearly had a crush on a 8th grader and we all made fun of her/them for a good 2 weeks
    Do I win yet? No?
    Let’s continue...
My best friend got a video of a few guys dealing and ‘whispered’ to me about it. Not only do I not want to know. But she can’t whisper. She ended up deleting it thank god.
Guy 1:hey you still coming over today?
Guy2: nah bro I can’t feel my legs
    Guy1: huh
Guy2: IM ON THE PILL I CANT FEEL MY LEGS!
Freshman (I think) guy clearly making moves on a nice 7th grade girl.
    Do I win now?

I had a pretty great bus driver, so I have a lot of stories..
    1. She kept dog treats handy to give to all of the dogs. Not just the ones belonging to the kids on her route, but she would literally stop the bus when she saw a random stranger walking his/her dog and ask over the loud speak if she could give their dog a treat. (One guy was a regular on her morning route. They're still friends to this day.)
    2. She technically wasn't supposed to give any kind of consumable items to her bus kids, so for holidays like Valentines or Halloween, she would choose one kid and hand them a giant bucket of candy. She would say, "now I'm giving this to you as a friend, not as your bus driver. It has nothing to do with my job, we're just pals. However, I would really appreciate it if you could share all this candy with everyone you see today. *wink wink*" And of course said individual was honor bound to give a piece of candy to each kid as they got off the bus.
    3. If she knew it was your birthday, she'd write you a card, give you candy, and have the whole bus sing happy birthday to you.
    4. At one point in the Spring, close to the end of the school year, there was this stretch of the bus route that had all these dogwood trees in full bloom, and they showered the sidewalk with pink flower petals. We were driving through one afternoon and there were some construction workers just standing under the trees on their lunch break or something. Bus driver had been talking to me about something, but when we came to the stop sign, she stopped herself mid sentence, turned on the loud speaker and told the workers, "you guys should pick up a big handful of those flower petals and just go WOOOOOSH!!" and she mimicked throwing them in the air. Then she continued talking to me like nothing had happened and the workers watched on in bewilderment as we drove away.
    5. She always needed to talk to us and considered her bus kids her friends. Apart from bus driving, she was also a wedding officiary, a first aid instructor, ran a daycare, sold popcorn at the state fair, was a greeter at her church, and had a bunch of other odd hobbies. Easily the most extroverted and people oriented person I have ever met. Sometimes she would randomly pretend that she was not herself, but rather her twin sister. We thought it was entirely a joke, but then she showed us a picture of her and her twin sister. (Not that I actually believe her twin sister ever came into work for her.) She also told me that if ever she is at a restaurant and the staff start singing happy birthday to another customer, she will get up from her seat and sing and clap with them.
I could go on, but suffice it to say, we're still friends. My older sister also rode her bus, and when my sister got married, you better believe our favorite bus driver was at the wedding.

My most memorable moment on the bus was on my last day of school before I moved schools, which just happened to be before summer. My school's really far from where most of us live, so we got home around 5pm on a normal day. It was a small bus, seated only 20 people, and I was the only junior( everyone was either a class higher or lower) but there was just something in the air that time in the dark, not even in a romantic sense or anything. One dude started the beginning of 'you know it' by Colony House and the rest of us joined in. Just us 20 bros. I cried. I wasn't even that close to anyone but the fact that we all knew it struck a chord.
