John would need to pay Me to communicate with a few of my Especially annoying dead relatives, God rest their souls in Heaven and let's just keep it at that, Thanks!
Wooh Me too" he said you will get a letter. and a ring on your phone, I screamed John John that's me ,,, then 70 people put there hands up .Dam Missed out, Your message is so funny From Australia X
When I was in Oprah’s audience, there were certain chairs through the room that had ‘reserved’ on them. Those were the only people that got to stand up and ask questions during the show. Maybe John had plants in his audience too.
I don't understand how if they can talk to dead people, yet frequently say, "I'm hearing from someone whose name starts with an M or J". So do dead people purposely tell them details of the person's life yet they can't clearly say their name?
Oh I’ve said this so many times myself. The dead can convey such elaborate stories with great detail, but they can’t state their name, but make it a “guess who”. Frauds!
🤣 Exactly. The reason they also say M or J is because those first letters are common for a name in peoples’ lives. We all know someone with a M or J name.
I took over a radip station. We had" Colin the Clairvoyant" when i told him we didn't need him anymore i prefaced it by saying, Colin as you are no doubt aware. My thanks to Rupert Murdoch
I was always impressed how John could complete his interactions with the dead in approximately 2-5 minute slots, as though all the deceased had curiously agreed not to exceed their time limit.
Funny how the dead can only speak in letters also. "I'm sensing a problem or the first letter of somebody's name. Your nana is giving me a J....?" Lol.
I'm getting a message from the other side, Dr. Grande will continue to not diagnose anyone and only speculate while wearing really cool shirts with cacti in the background. I ask no money for my reading.
I own a shirt nearly the exact duplicate of the one Dr. Grande is wearing. I also have a beard and wear glasses. However, I own no cacti nor is my sense of humor as professionally as arid as Dr. Grande's. I could buy a cactus, but would have to work on that dryness.
I always wanted to see someone get up there in front of edward and totally play into his bullshit like omg yes I DO have a dead brother named bill. And yes he DID die of a “medical issue”! And yes he did have brown hair just like me! And yes he did have a job at some point in his entire life omg how did you know that!?! And after all of it just be like SIKE!! Idk I always wanted to see that happen
I saw John Edward live once. We waited for a very long time for him to appear on stage. I sat and listened to audience members discussing life episode that they hoped he would "hit on". This intrigued me and we went to see him another time. The exact same thing happened. I believe he either has employees in the audience or listening devices getting stories from people. OR possibly using shills in the audience just like magicians. He may also be using a combo of those methods and cold reading.
My favorite "psychic" was Sylvia Browne.....a recurring guest on the Montel Williams Show. On more than one occasion she claimed missing people were dead, who turned up alive. She also often predicted that she would die at the age of 88....but died at 77.
Sylvia brown was good. One day when she was on Montel and as they talked I hurried and gather information on the case. She would reveil her information. The information she reveiled later in the show was just as what she gathered. I too am a Psychic and my information reveils who murdered and where the body is to be located. This man running this site is wrong and doing much damage because God is the one who asked me to do this after Jesus appeared to me on May 9, 1986. If this man running this station makes money while he damages others talking about things he knows nothing about as far as Psychics is concerned.
When he gets something really accurate he almost falls out of his seat in shock. He's so pleased with himself. I mean, isn't that your job? Kinda strange for a legit psychic to be so surprised when they, you know, get something psychic. He's also super arrogant.
Yezz...quite the actor. I'd like a Deep Dive into this sharlitain....what do his close friends and relatives have to say? Is he paying everyone off to be quiet?
I remember watching an Unsolved Mysteries back in the late 80s and a murder case in the LA area was profiled. Apparently a team of mother/daughter psychics were viciously murdered by an unknown assailant. I immediately said to my wife "You'd have thought they'd seen that coming."
@@KimberlyLetsGo I realize this but these women saw clients to give them predictions and guidance for their futures. As I recall, they made no claims to speak or communicate with those who had passed. Thanks for your response, though.

Knowing Dr. Grande's sense of humor, I was looking forward to some serious comedic gold in this one. I'm happy, though not surprised, to say that I was not disappointed.
These "readings" are like horoscopes. It could apply to everyone. Unfortunately the vulnerable people want so badly to connect with their relative. They will see any common situation and apply it to their life. When I learned he doesn’t let his shows be recorded, it told me everything I need to know about him.
“If someone paid a gopher in a murder-for-hire plot, that would be a lot more convincing.” I never thought I’d hear that sentence in my life, let alone from Dr. Grande.
My husband had a hard time dealing with his father's death. He started seeing "psychics" who convinced him that the father was communicating through them. At first I didn't say anything as this seemed to give my husband some solace. (I thought it was nuts). Then I learned how much money was being handed over to the psychics. It was a lot. I stopped being silent and started to point out all the flaws in the so-called "readings." It took some time, but my husband no longer pays psychics to talk to dead relatives.
Just because there are liars and scam artists who are just trying to con people out of money etc... that doesnt mean that its all fake and lies..there are people who can really do this stuff... at all diff ways and levels of strength or power..its an intuition thing..flashes of images or names or letters thoughts etc...not all want money or ask for payment..they just help people or friends or family and dont ask for any payment :) sorry that person tried to take advantage of your husband.
@@Mr.Monster1313 I am a psychic and I am telling you to cash app me ASAP. YOure dead family member has something very important to tell you. You need to listen to me before you are haunted forever.
Good for you have been able to reason him back to reality. Those psychics litteraly abuse people who are in pain just like religious cults or "alternative" religions. They only target people that are at a low point in theirs lives and are searching for answers.
@@Mr.Monster1313 Here's an encounter I had with a "helpful psychic": My cat got out and ran away. I posted on NextDoor info about my missing cat and several neighbors answered that they would keep an eye out for her. One neighbor lady posted, "I see your cat under a deck. She's really scared." And, "she's afraid to come out!" And, "I'm telling her to go home, but she won't leave the deck." I was frustrated because I kept saying, "please can you give me the address?" But no answer. Finally, another neighbor answered, "She's a psychic. She is only getting IMPRESSIONS, not actually seeing your cat crying under a deck." Ugh. NOT helping. I eventually did get my cat back, two weeks later, but it was not from any help from any "psychic," who only stoked my anxiety and got my hopes up for nothing.
I haven't watched the video and have it paused, but the answer of course is "No". The more incisive question is did John Edward _believe_ he heard messages from the dead. The answer again is "No".
Fascinating stuff, good to have found this channel. A friend of mine went to see a very famous UK medium a few years ago. Apparently, the first half of the evening was pretty lacklustre but strangely enough, after the audience had mingled & chatted in the bar during the interval, the second half was "uncannily" accurate. 🤔🤔🤔
Some will use the "j" or "m" strategy. Because most people's names start with those names. I believe we all have gut feeling or intuition. Some stronger than other's. I never believed John was sincere. Playing on people's emotions of the bereaved loved ones, takes a "certain" kind of individual.
I know there are Spiritual gifts and God sends messages that are spiritual . But talking to others dead at random isn't likely. Those that may have the Gift are wrong to abuse it and mislead people. Small children communicate with the Spiritual ,then forget when they get older. The Bible calls them suithsayer. God doesn't want his children to go to these people, physics , palm readers, etc. JUST ASK GOD, IF HE DESIRES YOU TO KNOW, HE WILL SEND MESSAGE HIMSELF.
@Jenny Lee Not sure. I have always found the rampant idolization of her to be quite awkward, though. She seems to mean well but, at some point, these obsessions become unhealthy.
You are so funny, loved the gopher reference.. woodchucks and bunnies. You never fail to make me laugh. I think that "psychic mediums" know a lot about behavioral psychology. I knew a friend's mom who did psychic readings, and when I called her out, she revealed some of her methods/skills. For instance, a friend got a reading from her. She looked at his hands, as though looking at his palm lines for "signs". She said, "You are a musician, you play the guitar". He was amazed and was at that point, taken in. This is when the subject's mind glazes over and is now receptive to suggestion. Like hypnosis. She knew he played the guitar because he had callouses on his fingers. No mystery, just keen observation mixed with showman know how. The mind glaze can happen to a large group of people if they believe that they have proof of magical powers.
Really enjoy your analyses. As a former M.Ed. Clinical Mental Health Counseling student I wish your channel was around when I was enrolled! Would have brought my classes great topics for discussion.
Houdini told his wife Bess that if there were an afterlife that he would communicate with her after he died. Needless to say, after his untimely death, she never heard from him again.
“Anyone’s loved one assassinated by a small, furry animal?” 😹 The idea of John Edward asking something like this and an audience member jumping around saying, “That’s how my loved one died,” makes me laugh a little harder than it probably should.
Then you find out about the slow painful death of your neighbor who had a knife fight with his hamster…and the hamster won. How? Because the dim witted dead neighbor taped a knife to his hamster, then put peanut butter on his clothing. Maybe this would fall under: Suicide by Hamster.
He said that and I thought, “but what if he said ‘gopher’ and my loved one was murdered by a squirrel? Like, wouldn’t that be close enough to be convincing?” And then Dr. Grande said, almost like he knew I would think that, “really all the small, furry animals would be excluded”. Damn. 😄
This is one of Dr. Grande's best. Hilarious (and clever) but also with serious and practical conclusions. Our culture right now is very short on critical thinking skills. Emotions rule and are exploited over and over by self-serving people in every walk of life.
Critical thinking is fast becoming a lost art. I once had a Tarot card reader ask me to leave because I was not cooperating. It was $10 of entertainment. I always know I am in the presence of fraud when I get asked to leave.😅
I used to watch his show and I noticed that he always singled out an Italian-looking family and asked them if they had a Tony or Maria that might be trying to contact them.
Anybody else immediately think of the South Park episode where they make fun of him? It's called "The Biggest Douche In The Universe", and I highly recommend it. He repeatedly claims that he's special and Stan keeps calling him out and even goes into the concept of cold reading, but stupid people don't seem to understand and they continue to be fooled. It's also funny because Stan goes to John's house to tell him to stop lying to Kyle, and John has a sound effect when he enters the room that goes "Ladies and gentleman, Psychic John Edward" followed by a clap track implying that he's so full of himself that he has speakers installed throughout the house to remind others that he's entered the room and that they should clap for him.
Fun fact: On the DVD commentary Trey Parker and Matt Stone, the creators of South Park, who is the WORST person they ever featured/ripped on in the show they said John Edward... Anyone who has not seen South Park - it features such terrible people like Saddam Hussein, Satan, etc. Episode was "Biggest Douche in the Universe"
When you have to pay for it , it's a scam. If he was doing " out of the goodness of his heart " it might be a different story. Taking advantage of grieving people should be criminal.
If I had this ability, I would not provide free readings. It takes a lot of ability to prepare such as meditation and prayer. I would have to make a living somehow. John states that he knows people will doubt him and that is OK.
I love that gopher related fatality and the macaroni scenario. You're really funny, Dr Grande. Like seeing your sense of humour in this analysis and would concur with the underlying sentiment. His "abilities" come at a hefty fee and if you are genuinely trying to help someone, out of your goodness of heart alone, why the price tag? It's interesting there are no guarantees on accuracy. That's handy. If you paid $850 for something, you would surely expect some guarantee. Unfortunately, there are so many vulnerable people, as you point out, who cling on to these psychics, mystics and so on. It's very sad and morally wrong, I agree.
Oh my goodness! This was too bloody funny matey🤣😂!! I'm loving your dry wit at the end of the day here in the land DownUnda! Far out, your wit would mesh so seamlessly with our culture here. I've been living in the US in various locations for work and I felt I was a fish out of water in terms of the Aussie/ Yank humor situation. I resigned myself to believing we're like chalk n cheese! I'm pretty thrilled to know at least 1 Yank would've remembered we're not actually all that dissimilar and it's good to find the humor in life sometimes! G'day from lovely Queensland and thank you for narrowing the gap with your intellectual commentary and humor. I really enjoy your wise, thought provoking discussions.
when i lost my fiance, i was obsessed with getting on his show. Looking back, it was pathetic, but I thought he could give me an answer. I would love to hear Dr. Grande discuss suicide prevention. And what we miss and how we can prevent it. I lost my fiance to suicide in 2001. And in 2017 I lost my son to suicide. I am always trying to understand how I could let it happen twice. I'm always afraid people will do it now, even myself. I think Dr. Grande could help a lot of people.
I cant say if John is or isnt psychic but I can say that I have had a very real and unexplainable experience with one myself. I am a thousand percent a believer of science, but there are some things in this life that cannot be explained and Witnessing or experiencing one as profound as mine changes you forever.
Ditto! I had a powerful experience with my Lyft driver who claimed he was a medium. He told me things he had NO way of knowing and he wasn't guessing! You see my son had committed suicide. My driver told me my son was in the car with us and wanted to say how sorry he was and that he's done his work so he and I will be on the same level when I die. He said my son was very proud of the work I'd done. I had just finished my 12th step. Sorry Dr. Grande this gentleman didn't know me or anything about me. How did he know all of this? Furthermore, this gentleman was so overcome with emotion, remorse when he was telling me my son was so very sorry for the pain he caused me, he almost pulled the car over. It was so powerful! He wasn't reading me as he was driving. God moves in mysterious ways His wonders to perform.
@@lindacarlton3154 right. The world isn't as clear cut as some people think. There's stuff out there that's beyond what we experience in every day life , some people bump into it - others don't.
A true psychic told me what me brother (he made suicide in Europe) said to me in our last phone call. Not one person on this world could know, I told no one about this phone conversation. Another psychic described in a phone call my bedroom, even to the smallest detail and she was correct. She also said that my (dead) brother liked the pink color of my pants. I don’t know about John Edward but some psychics are amazing good and correct and even help solving cases for the police.
I don’t like the term “psychic” medium. Sounds too….”Woo, woo”!….Yup I get it, so does the term medium! It’s a given that all mediums must have developed psychic abilities; however, not all psychics are mediums. The point of focus for reading (or interpreting) the energy is entirely different. It is important, during a reading NOT to ask questions. Response from the client/sitter should only be “I understand this”, “I don’t understand this”, or “I don’t know”. Evidential mediumship is just that.. the medium relaying information through statements or personality characteristics that are beyond the expected. It may be a shared memory or a very unusual name, occupation, or character/personality trait, to name a few. And yes, surprise, surprise….we do get it wrong on occasion; however, it is most often due to information coming through and how “we” interpret that info. Our logical mind can certainly misinterpret the information based on our own understanding or experience. Giving the information exactly as we receive it is usually most accurate. But you know how we humans are….we just have to manipulate the information in a way that we think makes more sense or sounds better. Every time I do that, I crash and burn! After the reading and the sitter gives me feedback, I think…”Idiot…why didn’t you just shut your rambling mouth and leave the initial statement alone!!!” When the client looks at me like I have a third eye 🤣, that’s when I just need to shut up! We are certainly our own worst enemy sometimes!!! Mediumship is a service, and charging for that service certainly is not ethically inappropriate; however, I feel, when ego takes over and those fees are way beyond what most can actually afford to spend, that, to me, crosses the line into greed. People seek out mediums because they are in grief and just want to know their loved one is ok. However, it is important for people to understand that acceptance of going through the stages of grief is necessary psychologically speaking. It is important that after the passing of a loved one, to take time to try to process through this tragedy. I have seen way too many psychics/mediums playing into their clients grief for monetary gain. If I have a client that is asking for a reading and is initially visually very emotionally distraught,, rather than a reading, I would choose to be a compassionate ear for them and, if need be, refer them to a grief counselor. There are codes of ethics to adhere to in this field of work and to violate those rule/codes can have serious consequences to the client/sitter and the medium, as well. There a reputable and quality psychics and mediums out there. You just have to do your research and be cautious of who you receive services from. If you feel uncomfortable, untrusting, or intimidated in their presence…get up and walk away.
Loved the subtle "presumably for the better" and the clear edit after pointing out the likelihood of that in the Crossing Over show. Well done as usual Dr. Grande
I can only speak from experience, my daughter and I were in the audience in Houston, he moved close to us, he mentioned my deceased son had said something that only My Daughter and myself would know. I did not own up because I was to embarrassed to. I think my son was communicating through John Edwards to us.
Dr. Grande, you might want to do a "Psychics and Mediums: Reformed" in a future show. Look for Doreen Virtue, a former psychic and medium who is well known and for a long time did group and individual readings, including on radio. She explains how it worked for her (which is quite different from what I had always believed) and her reasons for abandoning her "gift."
Alexander Ordinary. I disagree. Psychics are legit. I once went to Las Vegas with the lads and we decided to visit a psychic. The psychic predicted I would leave Vegas a married man and lo behold my tinder date agreed to get hitched at the lil chapel. I’m still amazed at the accuracy of her prediction
i must admit.. when i played along once, there was an element of ‘reverse psychology’ that kept me feeling... well, so, it was a stage production, with multiple people being hypnotized on stage. So, it helped me.. “group-think act” ... act on group-think.
I think "hypnosis" in the sense of like guided meditation is a thing but no you can't hypnotize someone into doing things against their will and stage hypnosis has the advantage of the fact that you're not gunna go up on stage unless you want to be hypontized so you're going to be the kind of person that gets caught up in the moment and does what the performer tells you to do even though you're not actually in a "trance" or whatever. It's just bargain barrel manipulation I guess
It's a helpful tool for some forms of mental health therapy. It's not at all like you see in some stage show. It's more to relax you, clear your mind, remember more easily, and more open to suggestions. When done by a qualified mental health professional.
I think it depends on the person. My partner got randomly pulled up on stage, hes very shy he hates attention being on him and he's the kind of guy who would like to prove them wrong. Yet it worked and i cant explain why
@@Kaylee-Renee I think so, too. All studies done on it, so far, can't prove why some people can be hypnotized and some can't. Scientists and Physicians are still researching it. All they know is that it has nothing to do with intelligence or personality.
Thanks to Dr Grande for promoting good sense with his channel. To many sites with false informations, stupid believings, conspiraties theories about all subjects. With you Dr Grande this old world keeps turning in the right direction.
I drew a cartoon dunking on that dude back in 2003. It was a ton of fun. "I'm sensing a name starting with 'a'...Amy, Alan, Amanda, Audacity, Ayumi, Appendix..." BTW, James Randi was an absolute legend.
Not!...he's dry and salty a.f about things he doesn't understand. His title does not make him smart in psychological and mental areas, such as parapsychology and metaphysics... unfortunately.
After my husband was murdered, I found a key on his keychain that I had no idea what it was. This person was very popular. So I asked her what it was to.. she had no idea, she held it for a while and still didn’t get anything.. When I got home I set in my front room and held the key and prayed…. It was to a post office box that I didn’t know he had! I was more psychic than she was. After that, I started answering my own questions….
I don’t know about John Edward ( I did used to find his shows entertaining) but I have experienced an unplanned physic reading myself. I went to see a healer because conventional medicine was struggling to contain a chronic illness. It was impossible looking at me to know what was wrong , I identified no s&s or diagnosis before I went to see a spiritual healer recommended to me by the professor in charge of my case. She was elderly, quite poorly herself and worked entirely without payment- she asked you to donate to a charity if you felt inclined but didn’t get involved with money herself. She asked for no information upfront because she maintained that doctors were often wrong, she liked to not be influenced by a diagnosis and worked with different hospitals with different specialities- she wouldn’t have immediately know I was seeing a gastroenterologist therefore. The first time I saw her she asked me to relax whilst she took her hands all around my body (without touching) and she immediately identified pains I was having, that she stated were side effects of medication I was having ( I hadn’t yet discussed those pains with my consultant - it was extremely sharp jabbing pains in my eyes, which turned out to be side effect of large doses of steroids which dissipated when I was able to reduce the steroid dosage, and stop taking them totally after several healing sessions.) She identified where I had had a dvt in my leg 3 years before, told me how many miscarriages I had had and told me ‘you are crying inside because you think you will never be able to have children- but your first child is a little brown haired, brown eyed girl who I can see playing around your feet- however you will be pregnant soon ( I was so ill at that time I literally rolled my eyes ) but I see 2 prams with on only one baby ‘. I took that to mean I would have another miscarriage before I actually successfully birthed a baby. 3 months after I started seeing her, she asked me if I had something to tell her- I didn’t know what she was talking about, but she just smiled and carried on with the session. I found out I was pregnant with twins later that week, but an early scan revealed one wasn’t doing very well and I eventually miscarried one at 12 weeks . I was however blessed to birth my lovely brown haired, brown eyed daughter ( I’m blue-eyed and the healer never met my brown eyed husband.) After seeing her for a few months my health improved beyond all explanation and I was able to get off steroids after 3 yrs of trying. I do however accept that ulcerative colitis is a relapse/remission disease- I never had another attack after seeing her however, despite being told that my disease was all through my large intestine and rectum and was pretty much untreatable- we had been discussing a total colectomy and Ileostomy when the professor suggested seeing the healer as ‘ you have nothing to lose’. The psychic reading was an unexpected thing that happened during my first session, just after she talked to me about what her spirit guide had told me about my health. She told me my grandad was there talking about a ‘donkey jacket’ , to ‘tell them to go ahead’-but that she hadn’t been able to get any more information, as he was quite shy and wouldn’t come forward again. I immediately stated he wasn’t shy to my memory - he had died 15 years before when I was 13 and to me he was funny, gregarious, loads of friends. The healer just said that I was a child when he died ( which I hadn’t said- I was still quite young and my grandfather died quite young unexpectedly from a heart attack) and that I maybe didn’t see his true character at that age. It was only when I rang my parents that they corrected me and said think about it- when did I ever see him outside of his home or garden? I could only think of one time, when my father received an award. Apparently he was extremely shy, unless he knew you really well he wouldn’t say a word and didn’t go out much because he was so awkward with strangers. With my sister and I he was funny, a great story teller- amazing. The ‘donkey jacket’ bit was where they both went very quiet- my mum said my dad who is a total atheist, went white. The night before my visit to the healer, they had been cleaning out a wardrobe in the spare room and discussing the unused. ‘donkey jacket’ ( a type of warm waterproof overcoat used by builders and such like in the winter) that my dad had taken after his father died and kept in the house. They were discussing whether they should give the jacket to my husband who worked outdoors - would his dad approve? This seems like such a small thing, however my dad and grandad were both huge disbelievers in life after death, but they made a pact that whomever died first would attempt to contact the other if at all possible. My dad is very stubborn and very ‘closed’ in his beliefs, so if you believe in this stuff, he would need help to ever receive any message- and it would have to be something obscure like this for my dad to believe it. I can’t tell you what a comfort this has been to my father. It may sound silly to anyone else, but my dad was with his dad when he had the heart attack, and he has always blamed himself for not being able to save him. He went on to become proficient at first aid and taught it for almost 30 years as he never wanted anyone else to feel the same helplessness when confronted from someone seriously ill. I took my cat to see this same healer just before she died as he had been diagnosed with FIV ( this was a new disease back in the 80s- the feline version of HIV. I was told he wouldn’t live long and and there was no treatment). He behaved totally bizarrely in her home before collapsing after she ran her hands over his body- I thought he had had a stroke or died. She reassured me he would sleep a while then be fine. I took him home, and after a few hrs he walked out of his basket and was fine, He lived almost 8 more years to 15 yrs old and never received any treatment. The vets were mystified, as they were seeing more cats with the disease and they were all dying quite quickly . My other cat also caught FIV and died not long after his diagnosis- Mrs Pugh my healer was long passed by then 😢. As for me, my total colitis was never as bad again and I went on to have 3 children- my brown haired brown eyed daughter, and my two blond blue-eyed boys who have a different father. I did have a weird experience many years later when I heard my grandfathers voice very distant say ‘it’s cancer chick’ ( he called my sister and I chick all the time) I was subsequently diagnosed with colon cancer and had a total colectomy. That was 12 years ago. My daughter has now been diagnosed with MS and how I wish Mrs Pugh was still alive! I’m wary of seeking out someone different however, as I DO accept there are a lot of charlatans out there. I became a Christian aged 45 and I’m not totally sure how to feel about spiritual healing now . It’s not something I tend to discussion with my church friends, but I am grateful beyond belief that I was guided towards seeing Mrs Pugh all those years ago. I believe that she changed the course of my life- whether by prophylactic means or whatever, I only know what I have experienced. I’m sorry this was so long!
Thank you very much for sharing. But these psychics deal with familiar spirits, aka Demons, that they refer to as their guides or psychic guides. Once you visit such individuals who have come into covenant with these spirits, whether the person is alive or dead. These spirits have the ability to heal also. But a pact was made without you realizing. I saw a testimony where an ex-witch doctor said that women who cannot get pregnant and go to witch doctors to conceive their children are either: sickly, stubborn or have criminal behaviors or promiscuous etc. My suggestion is that if you have not done it already, as you are now a Christian, seek out a man or woman of God, who specializes in deliverance for both you and your daughter. Just a suggestion. God bless.
Thank you for sharing your good experience with a Psychic, she sounds like a good accurate seerer. I once got a warning for a Psychiatrist about a Health issue in his future. I was in Florida at the time and he was in Ohio. I got on a plane came back, went to his office and told him he needed a medical checkup because I see a heart attack in his future. He reacted very badly raging he was a Medical Doctor and would know if he had a heart problem. Within the year I read a newspaper article that said he had died of a sudden heart attack. In Spirit he has not adjusted to his death. He passed into Spirit in 1985 and since then he has refused to accept his death and shortly after that he came to my house and has refused to leave.

I'd be interested in John Edwards the politician. What drives a man in power to cheat, especially when his wife is dying of cancer? There has to be some interesting psychology at play there.
The last thing on my mind when my wife was dying of cancer was to cheat! You are right that there is some interesting psychology happening with him. Makes you wonder what he did before the cancer. And just saying it was the stress of everything that made him do it is just a pathetic cop out.
Especially considering he convinced a young married couple to lie and say it was their baby and also at the same time knowing he was being followed constantly by the press while running for President.
I found Dr Grande about three days ago, since then I've been binge watching his videos. I didn't realise Psychoanalysis was so fascinating, or, at least I didn't know it could be explained with a humor as dry as the gobi desert. But there Is a downside to watching too much Dr Grande. I'm now convinced I'm a Covert Narcissist. So thanks for that Doc, you've really straightened me out.
He’s also very sarcastic for a supposed “objective observer”. I’m cautious when he goes subjective - I don’t see any difference between what Dr Grande speculates or John Edwards - He just doesn’t target paying audience members - but his delivery in regards to targeting subjects is much the same - speculative and subjective for the most part
@@Meritouschannels his perspective is speculative, but it stays objective where it counts. He does go based off facts, and he explains why he thinks what he thinks in an understandable manner. Plus, he doesn't untertwine his personal opinion with the facts, he presents the facts and THEN he shows a bit of his opinion, which is fine, even for scientists, it's not wrong to have an opinion, as long as they don't let it alter their perception of the facts. No one is perfect, but he does a good job of separating those two things.
Peter Popoff, hey! I signed up for his ministry's prayer request thing a while ago just for a laugh, they'd always send this giant packet of literature and some weird trinket. One of the last ones I got was worded in such a way that seemed to be suggesting we should be using witchcraft. Also they were technically addressed to my dog.
I just looked at your set up and noticed how balanced everything is.. and you're closer to your audience. Nice. Also Bella Grande podcasts are very interesting
That's true, but ultimately the blame lies with the only people who could prevent these scams- The people who actively volunteer themselves to get fleeced. Edwards IS a complete low-life, but he isn't demanding money from anyone at gunpoint- These Idiots CHOOSE to give their cash away; Edwards is just amoral enough to take it. And if Edwards didn't take their cash, there are 1,000 other dirtbags, just waiting to step up, and take Edwards' place. The ONLY time parasites like Edwards will vanish entirely, is after people wise up, and no-one's willing to buy into his BS anymore.
Dr. Grande, your intelligence, humor, logic and compassion is so incredible and beyond words! I lost my dad suddenly several years ago, who was also my best friend, and the pain led to all my "critical thinking to leave me.... I saw a medium in desperation. I think the majority of them are cons preying on the very vulnerable and broken. The whole gofer thing made me laugh SO hard though! My dad had such a sharp wit also, and I know he'd be laughing too♡♡😂
Back when I lived in Atlanta, I listened to STAR 94 in the morning. One day one of these popular psychics called in and did readings on the air. A lady called in and the psychic giving her a reading got 12 WRONG answers before the he got a single 'yes, that is correct'. I know because I counted the no's.
Kudos to you for remaining open to the possibility that this nonphysical sensory may exist in some people. It would be great to hear your opinion as to whether or not you think Matt Fraser has a connection to those who have passed to the other side.
Sylvia Browne was another one. She told people they had all kinds of illnesses. Everyone was oohing and ahhing over her ability. But there was never any follow up to see if she was right. You could tell she was making it up as she went along.

I stumbled across your video today Dr. Grande and I’m really glad I did. I recently lost a loved one and started listening to mediums on TH-cam, but I don’t really believe that there is such a thing as a medium. And if there were such a thing as a true medium why would they want to charge anyone the information that they give? You would think if this is from the soul or from God it would be freely given to bring comfort and closing to the grieving. And looking at different mediums I came across this video and I’m so glad I did. You really have put focus back on what I truly believe that anyone can do a reading just by listening to the person and picking up on certain cues. Several of my friends do go to mediums, I was with my partner for 31 years, we were one not two people in a relationship. I do not need a medium to tell me about my partner and myself or whether are not my partner is in our home or near me. Thank you again

I was just watching cringe compilations of this guy and his ilk. Now I have another video to satiate my appetite. Your timing is impeccable, maybe YOU are psychic.
I actually went to one of his shows, there was no pre questions when I signed up or when I arrived,I went alone so I wasn't talking to anyone, and I got picked,he didn't fish for answers, he tells you what's coming in, it wasn't a hot or cold reading, there was things he new that was never talked about,or put online,Ya I get it I no what you mean about fishing for answers and hot or cold readings, everyone has there own opinions and beliefs I truly believe he has a gift. If I didn't experience it for myself I too would be skeptical. No I do not live my life by mediuns or psychics, I enjoyed watching his show crossing over and I saw he was coming in my area so I bought a ticket, and I went to check it out for myself and to my surprise something came in that I recognized and he also talked about other things that I confirmed about that initial contact that confirmed it was me that the connection was for and then he brought other specific messages through.
My sister's classmates dad is a psychic medium and people swear he is very good at what he does. This goes back to mid 1980s. He's still doing this today. I've been able to tell people future predictions myself, but I can't do it on command. It's something that comes to me here and there, not on a regular basis. This is not my job and I don't charge for this. I also don't say, unless someone i know asks me to let them know.

As far as I know the few leads that proved to be of value were in cases when a person was an actual witness but tried to conceal it in order to build their "reputation" for potential clients or to avoid perpetrators revenge. Actually, these two excuses correspond with the two cases that come to my mind. And all of the rest I heard about were complete rubbish which is absolutely no surprise

I don't understand how if they can talk to dead people, yet frequently say, "I'm hearing from someone whose name starts with an M or J". So do dead people purposely tell them details of the person's life yet they can't clearly say their name?
I laughed way too hard at this
Oh I’ve said this so many times myself. The dead can convey such elaborate stories with great detail, but they can’t state their name, but make it a “guess who”. Frauds!
Yeah, the dead can only play charades with mediums.

My favorite "psychic" was Sylvia Browne.....a recurring guest on the Montel Williams Show. On more than one occasion she claimed missing people were dead, who turned up alive. She also often predicted that she would die at the age of 88....but died at 77.
She was really a fake
She claimed that in Heaven we can look like whoever we want .
@Jane Doe I have seen my soul visit a garden of peace . We are loved. ❤️
Interesting
When he gets something really accurate he almost falls out of his seat in shock. He's so pleased with himself. I mean, isn't that your job? Kinda strange for a legit psychic to be so surprised when they, you know, get something psychic. He's also super arrogant.
I watched a little bit of his show when it aired on the Sci-fi Channel, but I never bought into his whole psychic thing.
Yezz...quite the actor. I'd like a Deep Dive into this sharlitain....what do his close friends and relatives have to say? Is he paying everyone off to be quiet?

Some will use the "j" or "m" strategy. Because most people's names start with those names. I believe we all have gut feeling or intuition. Some stronger than other's. I never believed John was sincere. Playing on people's emotions of the bereaved loved ones, takes a "certain" kind of individual.
I know there are Spiritual gifts and God sends messages that are spiritual . But talking to others dead at random isn't likely. Those that may have the Gift are wrong to abuse it and mislead people. Small children communicate with the Spiritual ,then forget when they get older. The Bible calls them suithsayer. I think that "psychic mediums" know a lot about behavioral psychology. I knew a friend's mom
who did psychic readings, and when I called her out, she revealed some of her methods/skills.
For instance, a friend got a reading from her. She looked at his hands, as though looking at
his palm lines for "signs". She said, "You are a musician, you play the guitar". He was amazed
and was at that point, taken in. This is when the subject's mind glazes over and is now receptive
to suggestion. Like hypnosis. She knew he played the guitar because he had callouses on his
fingers. No mystery, just keen observation mixed with showman know how. The mind glaze can
happen to a large group of people if they believe that they have proof of magical powers.

John Edwards is still NOT a psychic
Linda Carlton I know some people who are physic...a lot of them feel like it is their job to help people heal...they don’t charge money.
Nope. They all communicate with ancient demons. Doesn’t mean they are wrong. Just means the information is coming from a dark source.
@@Blessedcrumb what a stupid answer! You have no clue! Dark source 🤣🤣🤣

I did not own up because I was to embarrassed to. I think my son was communicating through John Edwards to us.
I am so sorry for your loss.
That had to be very shocking, but in a good way.
She became a religious nut in the end.
She's a nut
I believe the correct "term" for these types would be " snake oil salesman".....

I would love your opinion on hypnosis, Dr Grande. Is that too a matter of people playing along?
i must admit.. when i played along once, there was an element of ‘reverse psychology’ that kept me feeling... well, so, it was a stage production, with multiple people being hypnotized on stage.

The first time I saw her she asked me to relax whilst she took her hands all around my body (without touching) and she immediately identified pains I was having, that she stated were side effects of medication I was having ( I hadn’t yet discussed those pains with my consultant - it was extremely sharp jabbing pains in my eyes, which turned out to be side effect of large doses of steroids which dissipated when I was able to reduce the steroid dosage, and stop taking them totally after several healing sessions.)
She identified where I had had a dvt in my leg 3 years before, told me how many miscarriages I had had and told me ‘you are crying inside because you think you will never be able to have children- but your first child is a little brown haired, brown eyed girl who I can see playing around your feet- however you will be pregnant soon ( I was so ill at that time I literally rolled my eyes ) but I see 2 prams with on only one baby ‘.
I was however blessed to birth my lovely brown haired, brown eyed daughter ( I’m blue-eyed and the healer never met my brown eyed husband.)
After seeing her for a few months my health improved beyond all explanation and I was able to get off steroids after 3 yrs of trying.
I took my cat to see this same healer just before she died as he had been diagnosed with FIV ( this was a new disease back in the 80s- the feline version of
HIV.
Thank you for sharing. I have had several inexplicable experiences as well.
