Hi HGG, I was the one playing the Likeness Looter/Valgavoth deck, sweet game, my dude, that was fun. If anyone's wondering about some card choices, there are also cards that help pay for activated abilities (Enigma Jewel, Omen Hawker) I just didn't draw any of them that time. There's also no Oculus, I was considering it, but preferred to have more life-linkers that I could reanimate, in this meta, if you don't have at least a flying 7/5 Fleshgorger on turn 3, you're not long for this world.
Manifest is really fun mechanic, I recently discovered that if you manifest a creature with disguise mechanic on it, you can flip it up for it's cheap manifest cost. This means that you can fetch 2 land with Floorishing Bloomkin and Pyrotechnic Performer lets you flip a creature to deal it's damage to the players face (flipped a Lumra for 12 damage to face last time). Yarus autoflipping on death is such a fun interaction, definitely going to give this version of the deck a try this week.
Good clean fun ;) I was set to turn the doll into spiders against a wide rabbit frog board. I have to assume this would work since it does not say nest counters. I had a 16/16 trampling caller though :/ so just plowed in. (I added brazen collector for ramp and first strike and 4 audacity for draw and trample, lil diff build).

No Pyrotechnic Performer, I'm surprised! 😅
I've been using that in my manifest ramp deck. A few times I managed to flip Lumra for 10+ dmg to the opponents face out of no where.
