As someone who hasn't played competitive card games in over 20 years and just been mostly local, casual and collecting of a lot of games since this got me back into competitive, the rust is real tho gona take a bit to adjust, kids these days has a different mind set then back in the day. I'm loving the game both play and collecting. My binders for the collection look awesome laid out with each card having 4 versions.
I 100% agree. I have sort of been in the beer and pretzel format for a bunch of games and this one has me actually going to local play and tournaments. I don’t care if it doesn’t last forever - I’m having fun right now.
It's hilarious to me the amount of people whining.I'm still getting packs as pricing during locals. If you don't like FFG get out of the way and let us enjoy the game for as long as they put it out. I pre-ordered a case back in January at $85 per box, so there was product available. A case might be a lot though. I will get 3 boxes of the next set and then get singles. People have no idea how hard it is to estimate demand
Absolutely agree. If you over order boxes, you end up with product sitting on shelves indefinitely. Game is popular, that’s good. Next set comes out in 6 weeks, meta will change and evolve with it.
The game is feeling a little stale due to lack of product. Stuck playing the same decks due to missing cards. No one has anything for trade. It'll pass, but still feels bad right now. On the plus side, I'm noticing some singles are dropping in price. Might be time for another SWU market update video.
I do agree with the staleness that has crept in… I also see singles dropping quite a bit in price. I might I’ll wait until June to see where things shake out but what a price roller coaster.
Don't trust Fantasy Flight. Ask X Wing players. Ask any other Destiny players. Ask Legion players. Ask Armada or Imperial Assault players. Even SW Deck-builder fans hate Fantasy Flight. Or go talk to Netrunner fans lol. Don't do it.
You’re like the 20th person to tell me this.. it’s amazing a gaming company can have such a bad rap but produce beloved games. Also netrunner kinda rocks.
@@boardmatt Netrunner is maybe the coolest CCG ever. I'm ll for non-skirmish based CCG's and Netrunner is the king. I am a person with a 100% complete Netrunner and Star Wars Destiny collection.
"It's different this time." - Indeed? Waiting months again for stock/reprint? No stock on store shelves? Again? I guess their parent company gets acquired and now saddled with a ton of debt and quickly cut loose to fly in the wind - that's different this time.
I do think they seem to be more engaged with the community and at least “trying” to lay out roadmaps. Set 2 previews and firm dates show that. But I understand the overall pessimism.
@@boardmatt Did I see that Asmodee itself is already cancelling pre-orders for the next set? If they are having problems trying to selling directly, nevermind your LGS . . . this seems very familiar.
