Because majority of seats matter in FPTPS and not majority of votes(50% of total votes in a constituency). Together, all the seats of all constituencies are counted and whoever gets maximum gets elected. But in a constituency, a candidate just needs to get more votes than other candidates, not necessarily 50% of votes. Even if a person gets 30% votes, but more than other candidates, he wins.
Showing one's weakness is a fine trait but showing oneself dumb isn't. Mind the difference. After 5 year in law knowing the fact that he wanted to know, the process he didnt bother to ask his professor or surf internet. In my opinion this isnt showing of weakness but its being asshole and then writing it on platform instead of keeping mouthshut. Happy learning ☺
Sir maanlo 3 vidansabha jhetr hai : Pahale main 40 voters hai 30 votes = Party A 10 votes = party B : 15 voters 5 votes = party A 10 votes = party B : 20 voters 5 votes = party A 15 votes= party B So , total votes for party A = 50 Total votes for party B = 35 But , party B won by two sits
I watched so many videos but was not able to understand this topic. But finally I found the video I was looking for. You made it very easy for me now. Thank you so much. :)

thaaaaaaaankyou sir jii ....truely speaking from my heart ,since last 5 years i have never understood what this proportional representation is...for first this made me understand....ballout paper sample made it is easy ...thankyou again
Finallyyyyy thankkkk youu bro genuinely saying i had lost all hope to comprehend this concept:) such a complex system, fptp is sort of intelligible unlike pr:)
Nice explanation Concept of vote percentage... Voting percentage increase as the winning margin increase... Jis party k pass jyada winning margin wale condidate jyada honge usi party ka vote percentage jyada hoga
Please sir kya "State government"ke bhi daal denge short explanation with notes jaise aapne president wagarh ke daale, mujhe aapki video ka intjaar rahta hai, mein iss vidio ka bhi bahot time se wait kr rahi huin......kya please aap daal denge, its a request, kyuinki mujhe aapke notes or explanations hi pasand aate hai, they are very useful for us...... Thank you so much sir.aasha hai ki aap request jarror except kareinge.....
2:18 The 104th Constitutional Amendment Act, 2019 abolished the reservation of Anglo-Indian seats in the Lok Sabha and State Legislatures of India in January 2020.it also extended reservation for sc and st for upto 10years
Sir ydi last mei A & B rh gye or inke chunav mei jo eliminate hua uske vote se dono ko hi vote milne k baad 5000+ kuchh ho jaye jaise ki A ko 5100 & B ko 5300 mil jaye toh winner kon hoga....dekha jaye toh winner 5000+ wala h but iss condition mei kon hoga
Sir, Single tranferable vote system me vote value ka kya role h? Jis candidate ko least 1st preference mili wo vote value ke according count ki jati h kya? Please explain
Is it the meaning of the meaning of Proportional Reperesentation ..??????? Then where would we study value of one vote of an MLA and an MP........??????
Jab aapne last m 2nd bande ko eliminate kar diya to uski vote jab aapne distribute ki to wo saari votes iski nahi thi usme se kuch (200) votes usse pehlewale ki thi jo pehle eliminate hua tha to us bande ka (jo pehle eliminate hua tha uska) ham 3rd preference dekh k distribute karenge
Sir FTPT k according jis candidate k pass jyada vote hote h vo candidate win hota h , that's way the BJP hi win in election and the india also have FTPT system M I ryt ?
B=36% seats mile hai ka mtlb hai , i e ek seat pe bhtt votes mile hai usko lekin har seat par nahi simple aor C=38% hai to unko har seats pe uniformly votes mile hai. 😀
Nominations basis = art, science, literature, social services only [sport is not bases for nominations Sachin tendulkar also got nominations under Arts]
Sir, in what proportion the votes of the candidate who get the least votes in first round is distributed among remaining candidates for the election of the president.
what if, while eliminating the candidate with least votes polled, we find two out of three candidates securing equally less votes ? Ex. A 4750, B 2625, C 2625. Now whose votes to be transfered to whom?
Apne kha ki jo nominated anglo indians hote h lokshabha k wo vote nhi krte.... Mera question h ki kya state legislature k nominated mla vote krte h...??? Jaise hamare UP m 403 elected mla h aur 1 nominatef anglo indian h....to kta wo anglo indian mla vote karega..?????
first past the post system deals with the election of the members of lok sabha. it is a territorial representation which implies one constituency is one member the person securing maximum vote is declared elected
It was possible simple way of explanation thank you sir, according to Article 55 (2) clause a - MLA shall have as many votes determined by the size of his constituency so does it mean 1 ballot paper is in multiples of respective number of votes to a MLA hence greater the size of state stronger is the vote ? Whereas number of votes for MPs are uniformly distributed .
But I think there is another twist most populous state must have more numbers of constituencies than a less populous state so difference of value of these category of MLA would be minimal.

Election me MP KA YA MLA KA

Sir this possible due to vote sharing process
Wow super explaination 👍
Sir, in what proportion the votes of the candidate who get the least votes in first round is distributed among remaining candidates for the election of the president.
The best explanation.
What will happen if there is tie even after using this voting method?
what if, while eliminating the candidate with least votes polled, we find two out of three candidates securing equally less votes ? Ex. A 4750, B 2625, C 2625. Now whose votes to be transfered to whom?
its a coincidence.....🤣🤣....1/1000 cases seen like this....
🤣🤣🤣bhai its already complicated, don't make it more complex:)
Apne kha ki jo nominated anglo indians hote h lokshabha k wo vote nhi krte....
Mera question h ki kya state legislature k nominated mla vote krte h...???
