Agreed. Extremely thick grasses like Kentucky blue grass when extremely thick do not stripe easily. They stripe but man they don’t stripe deep green like other grasses.
I have a Timemaster. I have .65 of an acre. I do not have a striping kit but I found that cutting at 3.25" all year for my Perennial Rye Grass stripes really well.
The stripes in the demonstration were actually laid by a riding mower, not the zero turn. Any mower can stripe if the mower deck is setup right and the conditions of the lawn, plus height of cut.

How can one brand vs another make different stripes? I made my mower stripe, it didn’t have to do with the brand

Simply cleaning under the deck and sharpening the blade’s can give you more appealing and defined striped. You don’t need a striping kit

Pro tip: if you just hit a hidden stump under some tall grass and dent your cheap stamped deck, your mower will stripe ANY lawn! Your welcome.
