It’s so sad to see the hate Jack is getting rn for his verse. His verse is LITERALLY him clowning himself and calling himself a man whore, but ppl took it as him being misogynistic and calling the girls whores. Also ABG stands for Asian Baby Girl, so ppl took that and are calling him racist now, it’s honestly pretty fucked up how a harmless funny verse making FUN OF HIMSELF can get so blown out of proportion. Also when he said "once it’s took it can’t get untook", that line went along with the Jungkook bar at the beginning of his verse. "I’m on my Jungkook Take a chick off one look." He saying JK can take your girl just by her looking at him, and the “And when they get took They don’t ever get untook" is saying once he takes ur girl she won’t ever be back 😂

Jack Harlow is a comedic rapper making fun of himself. But I agree, wasn’t my favorite featured verse, but the song is pure nostalgia. It’s giving Justin Timberlake’s debut era/usher 8701 era. JK is a certified pop mega star!

This song is already causing a lot of controversary because of Jack Harlow's verse so now many fans are planning to stream the alternate version which is an only JK version. And since the streams for both versions won't be combined I'm not sure if JK will be able to get another number 1 on billboard.

Edit: I meant ass cheeks in I think it was a US female rapper’s performance with lots of twerking not Anitta’s with TXT…although there was ass in her solo Latin performance.
I love BTS rap line and I loved Hamilton. D-Day is my favourite of all but it’s really a mix of rap and vocal.

However, as an older person, I think that in a lot of songs, it was more subtle, and most people didn't openly discuss topics like this. I also think it depends on how old the person is too. I won't say my age because I've heard stories of people being told they're too old for BTS. However, when I was growing up, most artists were very subtle because censorship was really being pushed by Congress. I'll put it this way I'm old enough to remember Dee Snyder from Twisted Sister having to sit before Congress to discuss censorship in music, and Madonna was controversial. And if you don't know who Dee Snyder is, then I really feel old, lol, but also you should look him up and his speech in front of the US Congress about censorship. However, just because someone might prefer a more subtle version, I don't think JK or Jack should get hate because they chose a more explicit version. I like the fact that JK has given alternative versions of this song and seven.
I absolutely love this song with my whole heart it gives such 2000 vibes with jk and jack harlows verses which fit the song so well and have it a even more old school 2000 vibe. Speaking of jacks verse I just want to stress that I don’t think people are really getting what he is talking about in the verse cause his first verse he is describing how he was a player and making fun of himself and in his last verse he is saying that he will do anything to meet with this person in the physical instead of talking and having videos of them through the phone to see if anything will happen. If you think about it, it goes with the wings context and they are both stressing consent as jack says at the end that this person doesn’t have to guarantee them nothing he just wants to see if something will happen if they meet up in real life then through online.
Not going to lie my first listen I'm not sure I actually heard the song he had me so distracted. Not complaining though lol.

I'm proud of Jungkook for doing what he wants and following his own artistic direction, regardless of what anyone else thinks. I'll be honest and say that this song isn't really my cup of tea, but it's growing on me a little more with each listen. I'm looking forward to seeing the direction the rest of his music takes 😊

this release made me realize that a lot of kpop listeners at their heart have really strict puritanical views when it comes to their faves and some fans have deluded themselves into thinking bts share those views even though if you just paid attention to the music JK and some of the other members listen to you'd know they enjoy explicit songs just as much as any other. Of course it doesn't have to be your cup of tea but the problem with the internet is if someone doesn't like something and it isn't catered to them, then somehow its extremely problematic and not just a lighthearted silly song about sex. Jack's verse tbh is not that good in terms of his rhyme patterns and overall ability but I already knew he wasn't that great a rapper because I actually listen to rap outside of kpop but the discourse and dramatics are so blown out of proportion online right now it just makes me roll my eyes. like all things involving JK, it will pass and the song will do well regardless

I'm going to start off saying I support JK making whatever kind of music he wants. With that said, this isn't for me. I didn't care for the rap part or the lyrics of it. I think that it was a little to in your face, and I didn't care for the message, but that's just me. The rest of the song I did like I think without the rap, I would maybe have put this on my playlist.. The visuals and the video were amazing. The dancing was great as well. I wish him all the best with this song. Even if it's not my taste, I do think it will do very well. I don't know maybe this kind of subject matter is very popular right now in music. Aside from BTS and GOT7, I don't listen to this kind of music normally, I listen to a lot of metal, so I don't really pay attention to what's popular in other genres. I do wish all of them the best on their solo stuff, and it will be interesting to see an older, more mature BTS when they come back together.

the song is catchy, and I love Jungkook's lyrics, but I don't like the rapping. I think it's tacky, and could have been done so much better while still giving the same message.

I like to sound of the song but I didn’t love it in general. It seemed a bit generic, like anyone could sing this song. It’s not just because he didn’t write it either, like Taehyung didn’t write his songs for his album either but they fit him so well.
Onto the lyrics; I’m not a prude, I’m a grown ass adult, Jungkook can sing about sex all he wants. I just think you can write songs with heavy sexual themes with better lyrics, his parts weren’t terrible at all.
Jack Harlow’s verse made me uncomfortable, and I’ve noticed people on Twitter who share that sentiment are called prude’s. When I saw the line: “when I seen that body, you would think it was a dead body” I had to double take, also the line after where he says, “told my boys to come look”, made me feel icky too. I hated that he used the word thot, Not to mention the ABG line, some people can be offended by that and some people aren’t, but the people who are shouldn’t have there opinions and thoughts being labeled as ‘too sensitive’. There’s a difference between flirty, sexy, explicit & then there’s misogynistic and degrading.
Overall, I know Jungkook said he was going for a more mature vibe, and I understand that him being babied as a 25 year old would bother him and he’s trying to break away from his maknae image, but to me maturity doesn’t always equate to sex (again, I have no problem with him singing about sex), and I hope his whole album has different vibes from 3D and seven, just because he can do so many things and so many concepts because he has so much talent and I’d love to hear something different from him.

Yeah... I'm not loving this one. 😶 The allusion to drugs and being a fucboi in the rap part seems super unnecessary to me, especially considering Kookie's reach. But it's not just that; the melody itself didn't do it for me. While I loved Seven immediately, Imma have to listen to this a few more times before I can say if I like it or not.
