I have not ever been so quiet in my entire life. I can tell that at work, whatever I say can and will be used against me. So, I am being silent. In my marriage less talking is more at times. God is good He helps us to grow.
We all have days when we become critical and complain whether it's work-related, or in our personal relationships. For some people, it is a personality trait in that they are always criticizing others and complaining. But, for most of us, it's occasional. But, we need to strive to never act in such a bitter way. We need to try to be more Christ-like every day than we were the day before.
Yes, we all are born with different personality traits we need to overcome and submit to the will of God. I guess mine is the complaining, "glass-half-empty" personality trait that I need to kill and sanctify.
Oh my goodness, you are such a riot! I LOVE your content! I'm already looking at other videos of yours and I'm only frustrated because I can't watch them all at the same time, HAHA 😄 I won't be going on the challenge because I'm already a very "low-speech" person lol. I don't speak until I've had a lot of time to think on the topic, but what a great idea! Thank you so much for sharing it :-) Also... new subscriber here!
Haha, thanks so much for watching! And thanks for the encouragement! I have just recently started experimenting with different topics/niches, as I am in a new season of life. I want to help other ladies my age, but also want to encourage the younger women. I too am generally "low-speech" around others, but not so much with my husband...so that is when I need to tape my mouth! 😄😂🤣
@@gentleandquietliving LOL! I so get that! I used to be! You know, I'm the same way, with that Titus 2, Proverbs 31 mentality. Being over 50 has really slowed me down in a lot of ways, and helped me to proverbially stop and smell the roses, but it has also - as my mother used to say - lit a fire under me haha! I want to share the wisdom God has given me because He sure has taken me through some stuff! I love it and I love seeing others, like you, interested in doing things like this! It's not just a young person's platform... we have a lot to say as elders in the field! Godspeed, my new friend! I will pray for your ministry 🙂
Sometimes we spill words from our mouths in moments of high emotions, which we later regret and feel sorry for. May we be completely submitted to God's leading.
How long did you try it? At what point did it fail? (I know when I took it off for meals, or when the fridge broke, or just to converse with a regular conversation, I would have trouble! 🤪)
Comment if you will be joining me on the challenge!
Proverbs 12:18: "There is one whose rash words are like sword thrusts, but the tongue of the wise brings healing."

Yes, you are totally right that whatever we say can and will be used against us. Especially in these last days when the love of many is growing cold.

Amen!
That's interesting and nice challenge.
Thanks for watching! 😊
That's a good idea. Nothing bad comes out of my mouth.😂 but it might stop me from eating when I'm bored. 😂😂
haha...that is a great side benefit as well! 😄🤣😂
That will never happen, tape is only temporary. lol.... Humility and a gentle and quiet spirit comes from within.
So very true!
