Sometimes I have this dream about my pet rats. They're boys, but for some reason they are having babies. While the thousand rat dream is a real nightmare I don't think anything compares to your bug horror and I have deep pity for you.

I’m not a genius about dreams, but from my brief research I found that if you have reoccurring dreams about past pets it basically means you had a deep love and connection with them. It’s basically your subconscious reminding you of your connections of your past pets.
i have a question for adam!! do you happen to have the color-correction setting turned on in the settings on your phone? if you have an apple device it’s something that you can turn on to be able to see the proper colors on-screen!
I’m red green colorblind as well. It doesn’t let you see the proper colors because your eyes literally don’t have the ability to see those but it allows you to differentiate between colors.
I relate with Steph about the dreams. I hardly even have dreams, and when I do, I usually can’t remember them. Like, 2 times a year, I’ll have a really long dream that I can remember, and it’s really vivid. But also, about once a year, I’ll get about a week straight of nightmares. It’s awful because I’ll be so tired from losing sleep, but I’ll also not want to be thrown into another nightmare, usually about someone close to me being attacked, and I can’t do anything about it
So I don’t know how accurate this dream interpretation is, but it seems like you have a sense of still having to take care and nurture things in your life that you need to let go. A kind of feeling or need to go back and take care of things that have already passed. Dreams with dead pets often have to do with not being able to get over the death, but can have a deeper meaning. Dreams about dead pets or relatives can be signs of them visiting you, but due to the amount of distress I wouldn’t think that the case. What I imagine it probably is, that your subconscious is letting you know that if you bring past problems back into your life and into your life it will bring you great distress
Yes! Turn it into a series! I also only have nightmares or really werid dreams. My recurring dream that I've had since I was about 4 is that my siblings and I were all going to the park to go for a swim. I forgot something so, I run back to the house. While I'm grabbing my forgotten item, I look out the window and see my dad digging a hole in the backyard. I get curious so, I stand around watching. My dad keeps continuing digging this big hole and then climbs in it. The end.

I used to have the same type of dreams about my cats breeding. I can relate to the overwhelming feeling it gives. My whole life though I've had a reoccurring dreams of living in a house that's really old and deteriorating. The super odd thing about it though is that I only explore one section at a time while the rest is abandoned and covered in cobwebs and used as storage. The layout changes every time and the house is always a mashup of everywhere I've lived previously.

I dream something so hilarious, I wake up, still laughing. It's so, so great. You know how a nightmare-feeling can linger for hours? Well on these days I feel amazing and happy all day. I'm so glad when it happens!!

I've had that EXACT dream many times Steph!!! (every time its slightly different, but it kinda goes like this: I'll find my late guinea pig in a closet, he's doing fine but I haven't been taking care of him and I'm like "oh no!" and then I'll find he's had several babies and now I'm suddenly overwhelmed with responsibility for these animals. Oof. It's the same vibe as the dreams where "I was signed up for this class this whole term but I didn't realize and didn't go to any of the lectures and now I have to take the final or I'll fail and it'll be a big hit to my grade point average" Wishing you more relaxing and chill dreams, Seph!
I would absolutely love for this to be a series! I have a reoccuring nightmare where under this building or town, somewhere where I reside, there's a secret town. This town is miles deep, crowded, and discriminatory. It has stores that are mostly empty and the floors are always uneven so you feel as though you're going to fall. Only a certain group lives down there, and in my dreams I regularly venture down to meet with people who I don't know in reality. Sometimes I go to the stores, usually when I'm about to wake up. I always feel anxious upon awakening after these dreams because of the heights and instability.
The best dream I had was going on a hunt with Sam Dean and Castiel from Supernatural, I never wanted to wake up. Also the wonderfully mysterious roller coaster was a good one. I would defiantly want to see a series, it would be so much fun, also wonderful video.

About that dream. I think it is connected to you actually feeling guilty about not being a good pet owner in your own head. So you might wish to get a second chance with them, while also being afraid of repeating last mistakes, or making new mistakes. It may be connected not only to your pets situation, but to your life overall. Might help meditating or slowly reverting to a bit more "every mistake is an experience" kind of mindset. Sorry if it's a bit too much
