    Bought one of these last week and am currently using it. The vid is accurate about set up, it's easy and one person can do it in about 10 minutes. Held up OK against some light showers, no leaks detected. However, as with any tent, you should apply seam sealer and treat it with waterproofing spray. Ventilation is poor even though the rain fly has a rear flap secured with velcro when shut. It can fit a queen airbed but that's about all it can fit. There is little space leftover for storage or movement. Recommend for max two person use, with a smaller bed, for casual car camping. Overall, for the money, it's not bad.

    for $37 it's a great value, and nice features. It's a good two person tent, no way 4 adults will be happy.

      I agree. It's pretty small.

      I read somewhere that the general rule of thumb is you need to double the amount of people that it can hold. For example, if you have two people, you need a four-person tent, with four people you need a 6 person and so on and so forth. I believe you though because I saw a two-person tent and I was like, this is for Lee only big enough for one person. I saw the carrying case and I was like yeah, two people as long as they never move. They need to tell people last because people may not know any better and end up purchasing the wrong size.

    The ability to take your shoes off before you enter is very apprciated. The floor mat out front gives you a place to stand or a place to hang your feet out while you do.

      Good tip. So far we have only used the tent in south Florida which is pretty dry and sandy. I can imagine with mud it would be a different storey.

    Thanks for this detailed review. You just persuaded me to give it a try. I was actually going to buy the Kelty Discovery Basecamp 4P tent, but they didn't have it at the two REI stores near me. The only REI store that carries it right now is 53 mi away in CT. In addition, I have a few more items to purchase as well but they were not available in the CT store.
    Which means that I would have to make two trips to two different locations. Can't bother with that since I'm camping in 3 days from now, and need a tent right away and can't wait for shipping either. So your review was really helpful. Others also said the same thing about expensive tents and cheap tents giving about the same performance and we're just paying more money for the brand name and weight. The lighter the tent, the more money we're gonna pay etc.
    I'm going to give the Ozark a try. I'm wondering if I could put two Intex twin air mattress in there laying them depth wise as oppose to length wise.

      @travelbywater9378  ปีที่แล้ว

      I am not sure about the air mattresses.Its on the smaller side for a 4 person tent.

      I just realized that the tent you reviewed and the one that’s available at Walmart now are slightly different. The one I just placed an order for is Lime Green and has a rain fly that is 3/4 way down almost a full rainfly, with a vestibule/storage, built in mud mat etc. I think it may be a newer model? It’s says Ozark Trail 4 person Four Season Dome Tent.
      No reviews on this one yet.

    Just bought this tent. My old Coleman tent took the big one on me. I was a little apprehensive about it since it was a little under 50 bucks US. How does it hold up in the wind?

    • @travelbywater9378
      @travelbywater9378  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It holds together in the wind, but I have had it blow flat on me in a couple of thunderstorms. No damage, but not ideal either.

    • @travelbywater9378
      @travelbywater9378  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It wasn't great in the Thuderstorms. The wind kind of flattened the tent out. Some water did come in through the screen windows. On the plus, when the wind calmed down it immediately returned to its proper shape.
