I had some friends with a dog that was scared of his own farts. He'd be laying in the corner asleep and would fart and would shoot across the room yelping and looking at his butt like he was being attacked. Funniest thing I ever saw in my life.

Med student here. It’s completely the same disease. Unlike said here it’s not a neurological condition but rather a muscular one. Since the Ca2+ Transporter in the t-tubule of the muscle have a genetic defect the intracellular potential goes down much slower so the muscle cannot relax for a moment. After a few seconds everything works fine again though
