Bulls fan. Hats off Glasgow, it was a cauldron tonight at Loftus and they stood firm, to beat Leinster, Munster, Bulls and Stormers in one season takes some doing! Congratulations!
Munster thought they had the tournament won after getting the 1 seed and bulls thought they had it won after getting a home final . Glasgow had other ideas .
@@eoin8156 seriously! Even I thought bulls were gonna win a tough but dominant game. Thought with the travel and the huge Munster game, they wouldn’t be able to replicate it. But good for them. What a game.
As a Glaswegian and long standing Warriors supporter, the graciousness of the Bulls and other team’s fans is much appreciated. In his short tenure, Franco Smith has galvanised the Glasgow Warriors into a team to be reckoned with. ‘What ever it takes’ is Glasgow Warriors’ motto and they showed how much this meant to them throughout the season, but more so in last week’s match at Thomond Park against Munster and in this evening’s match at match at Loftus Versfeld. Congratulations to Franco Smith and Glasgow Warriors on an outstanding achievement.
And if Scotland used the Warriors approach I can't see why they wouldn't be serious contenders for the 6 Nations. Incredible belief and never say die attitude was something to behold. From a happy Leinster fan.
Still cannot bring myself to watch the highlights. I was at the stadium and still hurting tremendously because of the loss. Well-deserved winners, Glasgow, well done! Enjoy your stay in South Africa @Tim. Love your podcast and insights. Hopefully, my fellow countrymen (and women) will show you that South African rugby supporters are not as thuggish as some rugby pundits portray.
Very well done to Glasgow. Fully deserved. Unlucky Bulls, great fight by them. Great league. Munster supporter here. Also, I must say, some people might say bad things about the SA supporters but a huge thank you to the SA teams in the URC to really improve our league. Keep the performances going and let's keep the rivalry going also. You guys bright so much to this league. Thanks
Wow simply wow. Congratulations Glasgow from a Leinster fan. You guys did it the hard way, beating the former champs Stormers, current champs Munster then going to the hardest place in the URC and win just brilliant. Hope Leinster coaches are watching because Franco Smith just pulled a masterpiece of a performance from his Warriors. Congrats enjoy the night
If Leinster had, like Glasgow did, sent their best team to SA they'd have probably won it at home, but in any case would've had the experience of playing there that Glasgow had come knockout time. Food for thought for Leo I hope.
Delighted with a Glasgow win. As an Irish fan am really happy to see how competitive and entertaining the URC is becoming since the South African teams joined. It's no longer the cinderella league so time for Leinster to take it seriously. Roll on the 2025 season.
Glasgow fan here - absolutely elated. Appreciate the gracious comments from Bulls fans and others. Read one from a Leinster fan which was especially appreciated - especially since this team - not just this team but many of the players who played today - got absolutely steamrollered by Leinster in the quarters two years ago. While that was not the real us, it does show that what Franco has done with these guys in a couple of years is absolutely remarkable.
Some very gracious comments here from both Bulls and Irish fans. Thank you, respect to you all and best of luck to your teams for next season ( and for the upcoming tests ! ). From a Warriors fan.
A Warriors fan here. I did not expect this result. With travelling to Pretoria, playing at altitude in the S.A. heat, we usually struggle. But what a performance! Absolutely delighted. Well done lads!
Premiership follower with no skin in this game but have to say hats off to Glasgow. Everything was against them; away venue, altitude, travelling midweek 1/3 of the way round the world. Great result.
They deserve the win, Bulls had no answer for them when they attacked. They just wanted it more. As good as the bulls defence was last week, thats how bad it was tonight. Glad for Glasgow and Scotish rugby. Well played🇿🇦
@@EggchasersRugby proud of bulls they did very well with limited resources and springboks and loosing Willie le roux and canon moody for final limited bulls attack.

Big Bulls fan. I am broken. My voice is gone, and my lungs are shot. The vibe in the stadium was amazing. Glasgow wanted it more. Made dominent tackles and had that desire to win. Well played, Glasgow. Well deserved win.
The URC is proving to be the most competitive and entertaining league in rugby. The SA teams brought a lot more enjoyment and competitiveness to the tournament and 3 different winners from 3 different countries in 3 years shows just how good our league is.
I feel comfortable enough to say this here. Everybody taking the piss out of the competition is proper order, its what we do. But lets remember that we are a small sport. This guys videos are important to me, but none of my mates watch rugby. Im Irish, i was never good enough to play rugby. But I love it😊, Ill always follow it. I belong in this sport. Tim, thanks for being class. Keep going!
As a neutral Stormers fan, what a final! Fully deserved victory by Glasgow. They won a good Stormers team, then knocked out the defending champions at Thormond Park and had to beat the Bulls at Loftus. In the three URC finals we had three different champions from three different nations. Great for the competition. The standards of the URC are getting better year by year. It's becoming an elite world class competition right up there with the best in the world. You simply cannot predict a winner anymore. A huge step up from the pro12 and pro14.
Very sporting comments from our SA friends. A really big night for Glasgow. Cant explain how much it means. Not least because of the huge respect I have for SA rugby and the Bulls in particular.
What a game. I'm a Lions fan ...well done Bulls on a very competitive season but ran into a Glasgow team that seemed to want it more. To win away semi's and finals is immense. Well done Franco and your team...huge effort. Deserved champions
What a win for Glasgow. Fair play to them, they totally deserved it. 13-0 down and then dominating the second half. So much for the altitude. The Bulls looked more out on their feet than the Warriors.
As a Bulls fan I feel gutted, but full credit to Glasgow. They were definitely the better team on the day and played fantastic rugby. Their defence was simply too good for the Bulls and they fully deserve this win. Well done.
It takes 2 to tango, and what a tango that was. Thank you Bulls and Loftus. Before the game I have to admit, i had you guys to win, your team and your fans are awesome 👏👏👏
Hi Tim. Thank you for the breakdowns and hot takes for all the matches, much appreciated. I. First of all congrats to Bulls fans on classy comments in defeat. Can’t be easy. Appreciate it. But how good Warriors? The calmness shown, the physicality, grit, stubbornness (is that a word?😂) then the quality in both defence & attack, just superb! The intensity made me realise what these boys put themselves through. We lost but what game. Congratulations to Glasgow you played like champions today.

Fabulous end to the best championship in the world at the moment, the URC. Warriors are Kings….How did we not see it coming….especially after Munster last year. Just fantastic
I’m a Glaswegian and have seen Glasgow from Firhill to this and it has been a phenomenal journey and in all seriousness I have to say a South African has made the difference. Franco Smith has put in Bok tenacity and rugby nous as a Glasgow and Scotland supporter he will forever have our thanks and respect for putting into our players belief and guts to be winners. Thank you Franco and thank you South African rugby.
So stoked for Glasgow. Hoping this winning mentality transfers into the national side. Glasgow were gritty and just seemed to make good decisions at the right times.
This is how you know you drank too much. Referee was not brilliant and when they analyze the game there are multiple things he could have improved on and calls he got wrong. But in saying that that is no excuse and the Bulls did not deserve to win with how their attack was one dimensional and how they looked without a plan. Credit to Glasgow as well.
110% team effort from Glasgow.Back2back wins away from home .Tremendous resilience, physical effort & composure - a much deserved win.Congrats from a Saffa 👏👏
I was there! Crazy epic atmosphere...and wonderful show put on before with drum majorettes doing a tattoo across the field, some Scottish pipe band players, sexy female electric violin players and lively dancers... huge Tshirts - blue for bulls and black for warriors, and fireworks ending with big smoke poofs in red white and blue! The Bok-Wales match had just been shown on big screens inside and out..bonus! The match was really intense but Glasgow warriors are slippery and fast and both defenses were tough...Bulls breaks just went wrong a few times and Warriors deserved the win! Great to have a good ref too...worlds better than last week's Leinster match. What a final! Fairplay and congrats to Glasgow Warriors! Sad for Bulls and Bulls fans but great to get to the finals. Loved the dinosaur dash and dance.👏💪🏉👌
Well done Glasgow! Sad SA couldnt get the double today, but damn, glasgows defence... unbelievable! Respect Glasgow! Good to have 3 different winners in 3 years. URC
As a bulls fan im gutted but well done to Glasgow, deserved champoins, intense game, my nerves went through the roof Franco is defenitely going to be the next scotland coach,
A wonderful URC competition with an edge of the seat final, after two wonderful semifinals last week. Well done Glasgow for beating the Bulls at their fortress with some outstanding defence. Turning point in the game was when Glasgow scored the try at halftime. Hanekom made a difference and Johan Goosen kicking that penalty dead was also pretty significant!
Well done to the Warriors. Talk about winning it the hard way! Away wins at Thomand and Loftus Versfeld is incredible. Respect from this Leinster fan. 👏
Altitude: 1350m... It didnt seem to matter. Fair play to Glasgow, obviously a very fit team, their maul is a thing of beauty, and their backs seem to be coated in a nonstick substance. Impressive win, considering it is their first win at Loftus since the inception of the URC.
Right?? Usually it's the other teams that get tired, lose focus and then make mistakes. But it was the Bulls who lost focus! Goose not getting touch, missed tackles galore. Who was the home team here, anyway? It didn't look like the team in blue.
Glasgow, I wrote you off pre match. Though it was a plane to far. Earned that name warriors big time. Congrats from a Leinster fan. PS that try should have stood also. A Shocker that it was disallowed.
3 SA teams in the first 3 yrs of the URC finals, give SA teams more time and experience and you’ll see them winning more. Glasgow’s experience was immense. Congrats! Stormers supporter
I was at the game , die hard Bulls fan here and I have to say Glasgow we’re outstanding. We honestly didn’t deserve to win that game and for Glasgow to beat Munster away then have to travel to Loftus and still pull that off.. simply outstanding. Congrats to all you Scots!
Today the Old Bulls wore Glasgow jerseys and the young Bulls had the Light Blues on. Growing up at Loftus, I could see in the Glasgow Warriors the spirrit of Thys Lourens, Louis Moolman, Naas Botha, Burger Geldenhuys and all the Loftus legends. Franco taught them well! Soften up front and then hit hard at the back. In all honesty, the Young Bulls never looked like they were in control of the game. Well done to Glasgow, you beat us at out own game.
I really wasn’t expecting much from Glasgow in the play-offs to be honest, especially after a few missed opportunities towards the end of the season. Could not be more delighted at how things turned out - superb performance (especially in the second half), amazing endurance to keep up the levels for 80 minutes at altitude, and ultimately the deserved winners! Next year, all we need is to top the league and bring the final to Murrayfield 🤞 Roll on the Top 14 finals next week: still a real chance of Scottish hands on a third big trophy of the season, which would be a beautiful thing indeed 🏴
I knew when Warriors beat us in first game of the season that they were a serious team. Thrilled for you guys. Deserved winners, no excuse, no hard luck. The will to win and the wherewithal to win it. A Leinster fan.
I think Franco Smith maybe a worthy successor to Rassie Erasmus as Springbok head coach. Like Rassie , the experience Franco is gaining overseas is invaluable .

So happy no one gave us a chance today and we smashed it! Well done Glasgow
Well done Glasgow. Well deserved. You outplayed us. Toughest route to the final and worthy champions. Enjoy the celebrations.
YES Glasgow! Good to see. One of the most impressive routes to a win I’ve seen
Well done Glasgow. From a Leinster fan ;) the URC is turning into a great competition.
Well done Glasgow, from a Leinster Fan, Fair Play👍
I’m a Glaswegian and have seen Glasgow from Firhill to this and it has been a phenomenal journey and in all seriousness I have to say a South African has made the difference. Franco Smith has put in Bok tenacity and rugby nous as a Glasgow and Scotland supporter he will forever have our thanks and respect for putting into our players belief and guts to be winners. Thank you Franco and thank you South African rugby.
So stoked for Glasgow. Hoping this winning mentality transfers into the national side. Glasgow were gritty and just seemed to make good decisions at the right times.
Leinster fan here. Massive congratulations to Glasgow. Did what we couldn‘t. 👍
From a die-hard Bulls fan, we where 10000% beaten! No complaints, nothing!!!!
Glasgow played brilliantly !! THE REF. WAS BRILLIANT AS WELL!! (From a Bull's supporter )
@@The5kull42 A non drinker my friend.Only my take on the match😊
Glasgow played like true warriors. That was a brilliant performance from them. Bulls panicked and lacked leadership.
All credit to the warriors with a great win, worthy champions and congrats to the bulls for a great game
As a die hard bull suporter... well done Glasgow.. well deserved and indeed the better team..
Munster man , Glasgow were epic, both in Limerick and Pretoria - well deserved champions.
Really proud of Glasgow, wonderful result for scottish rugby
URC
As a bulls fan im gutted but well done to Glasgow, deserved champoins, intense game, my nerves went through the roof
Franco is defenitely going to be the next scotland coach,
Good on you. Tough breaks. Franco Smith has played a blinder in fairness.
Respect 🇮🇪
Munster fan here but it’s great to have you lads in the competition.
What a great game - and what a finish too - well done Glasgow - well deserved!
I am a die hard Cheetah supporter and may I say, an old Cheetah (coach) won it.
Well done to the Warriors. Talk about winning it the hard way! Away wins at Thomand and Loftus Versfeld is incredible. Respect from this Leinster fan. 👏
Surely one of the greatest ever achievements in club rugby. Magnificent Glasgow.
@@randomlyfactual1943Goosen had an early knock to the head. Still played well.
@@coatknight I didn't see that! Okay that makes sense. He isn't one to miss touch
@@randomlyfactual1943 looked liked he should have gone for an HIA.
Glasgow, I wrote you off pre match. Though it was a plane to far. Earned that name warriors big time. Congrats from a Leinster fan. PS that try should have stood also. A Shocker that it was disallowed.
LETS GO GLASGOW!!! Physically dominated the bulls in the second half. They have matured so much over the course of this year.
3 SA teams in the first 3 yrs of the URC finals, give SA teams more time and experience and you’ll see them winning more. Glasgow’s experience was immense. Congrats! Stormers supporter
stormers will be back next year
Last 2 years have had home finals and lost both.
Gutted ..However well done to both teams and the referee crew too..great final and no it sucks to lose to Franco and Kyle ..
Warm welcome to SA Tim 🇿🇦
I am hurting. But wow Glasgow deserved the win. They did not allow us to get going. But we will be back stronger.
Good on you
I was at the game , die hard Bulls fan here and I have to say Glasgow we’re outstanding.
Next year, all we need is to top the league and bring the final to Murrayfield 🤞
Roll on the Top 14 finals next week: still a real chance of Scottish hands on a third big trophy of the season, which would be a beautiful thing indeed 🏴
Glasgow was better than us,well done your players were hungry, having one on Scotland.
I thought we were going to get blown away at 13-0 but what a comeback by the boys
I knew when Warriors beat us in first game of the season that they were a serious team. Thrilled for you guys. Deserved winners, no excuse, no hard luck. The will to win and the wherewithal to win it. A Leinster fan.
Looking forward to see you in SA Tim. You've made many many friends here.
I think Franco Smith maybe a worthy successor to Rassie Erasmus as Springbok head coach. Like Rassie , the experience Franco is gaining overseas is invaluable .
Really interesting point!
Scotland need to get Franco in charge whilst he's here
Johan van Graan with Franco Smith
Hands off, he's taking over from Toonie, sooner the better. 😊
Well done both teams 👏 respect ☘️
