Lourdes, a spiritual oasis where Our Lady of Lourdes appeared to St. Bernadette! It continues to enchant us! The universe put us there! We're so blessed to have experienced this southwestern City of France! Loved the vlog! Thank you Jaycation!

Such a great experience! My Mom brought a bottle home and bought some small mini bottles to fill and give to friends and fam when she got home.

Truly a very special and peaceful place. I have been there myself quite a few times. No matter how heavy laden you may be with the cares of life, you always come back home fully refreshed and re-energised and with a renewed faith. God bless.

First! Wow, what a find in Lourdes! It's so awesome whenever Filipinos are found in other parts of the world. I remember when I went to Italy, there were so many Pinoys esp in Venice. I was pleasantly surprised to see our peeps living in Europe.

Love seeing Filipinos from all over! Apparently there is a Filipino restaurant right by the Vatican that i didn't realize existed when I was there. This spot was kinda expensive but I can see why Filipino tourists would love to go here! How's the vlogging going? Have you been filming anything?

Great video Jay! Haven’t thought of going to Lourdes but I would love to go to Mont St Michel in Northeast France. I guess that also is a religious pilgrimage site. Your tita’s arros caldo reminded of one of the delicious dishes that I had in our favourite city , Barcelona. The Catalans call it arros caldosos and we had it with lobster and a very tasty seafood broth. You should check it out when you return to Barcelona.

Thanks RJ! Mont St Michel is also on my bucket list. I've just always had trouble figuring out an efficient way to get there with it being so far out of the way. One of these days I'll make it there! So the filipino food there was just MEH. Expensive if you ask me but perfect for business because many filipinos who are visiting may be craving filipino food by the time they get to Lourdes so im guessing they end up eating there. I'll have to try that Arros Caldosos with lobster! Do you remember which restaurant you tried it at?

Jaycation The restaurant is Calle Arros i Peix on via Laietana near the Gothic Quarter. It cost around €20 per person.

Can you suggest the best mode of transportation and let me know if I need to book a local flight? Also, is there a train or bus available from Toulouse Airport to Lourdes?

You are in a small town in rural France eating fresh, cooked on the premises, Filipino food the ingredients for which can be difficult to access...hence the price. Add to that the cost of bringing in 4 chefs from the Philippines just for the season.

Thanks Rafael! An empty water bottle is a good call. Those tourist stores sell bottles for way too much. When did you visit lourdes? Hope u get to return someday!

@@Jaycation I think that was 3 years ago. We drove from Belgium to Barcelona then we stopped in France to visit the Grotto. Felt so lucky to be there. Imagine, not everyone has the chance to see that place. Yeah, I want to. But never had a chance to stay there and join the parade.

Pilgrims are discouraged from referring to the water in Lourdes as "miraculous" , It's regular spring water that is not even blessed. Bathing in this water is merely an 'act of faith for believers.
