    This looks like a very good way of jazzing up cod and ending up with a delicious looking one pot meal. I shall be trying - thank you.

    As someone from the UK, i'll bet that Cod was fished from around our waters. The UK doesn't appreciate weirdly the fantastic fish we have around our waters and much of it ends up being sent abroad (exported)... but this is a fantastic fish stew recipe and also very simple and easy to make. Sadly all food is going up in price of late and i'll bet that cost a few Euro each eh? Great vid Albert many thanks for your upload... yummy!

    So much goodness in one pan, and this is exactly right for now, because we don't want to be running all of our burners on the hob with the energy crisis. One pan, one meal, and so nicely balanced with health giving ingredients.

    Me encanta el bacalao. Y de donde sale la Tranca? 😄 Recuerdo cuando chico visitar familia en el campo. Las casas de madera. Ventanas y puertas de madera con su tranca. Era un gran palo que se cruzaba para trancar. Buen toque el vino. Ciao primo.

    Albert, I have a question regarding the Cod. Could one coat it with corn starch instead of the flour? Or a mixture of the two? I'm wondering if that would "mess" up the preparation for the stew. Maybe cornstarch if one was to pan sear the cod for a different preparation? Is using corn starch "too far" away from traditional Spanish "cooking"? Just curious. Thanks for the wonderful recipe. Can't wait to try it out! Thank you for ALL that you do to keep us inspired!

    • @SpainonaFork
      @SpainonaFork  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You could use corn starch if you like, flour is just more typical :) much love

    I am a subscriber and I have learned a lot from you. I thank you wholeheartedly.
    But I do find it curious that you do not start with the potatoes and add in the rest later.
    Cooking onions and peppers for 20 minutes is in my book overcooking.
    I will add some saffron to this wonderful dish.
    Thank you again.

      El sofrito, which is the base flavor of the stew, is always started with the vegetables, it´s what gives the stew that depth of flavors :) much love
