    nice very clear tutorial.
Have to admit, I have never ever used the transform effect for opacity.. or the brushstroke for anything..

I dont know why the loop of scratches and dust stops. the loop stops at 2:45ish. Im making a video that is 4:15 in full time.

Well, there is one thing you have to consider, old cameras and lenses were slightly blurry. You'll have to sacrifice the sharpness and blur it. About 2 to 4 units is fine, depending on how old and used you want it to look, otherwise, sharp image will look like a fake effect. Also, your grain and dust and all are sharp, which look beautiful on blurry image.
Also, the more we prep the footage while shooting, the better, so soft lenses on stabilized movement is a good start. If we dont have soft lenses, we can always damp the UV lens or put something over it to make it dreamy.

Thank you. This was helpful. I only think you forgot to mention that, to activate the expressions, you need to not only press the stopwatch, but also Alt at the same. Or maybe I just missed that part.

Do you still recommend increasing the videos scale to compensate for the wiggle if you are using a frame? It seems like the black frame would cover up the edges.

I would do that.. when you adjust the frame to only show on the sides, you would get that faulty looking wiggle-side effect.

When I try this over an animated image it doesn't seem to show up very well.

I'm interested in the super 8 film look effect. Can these same effects be used for that? Are additional things needed? I don't want to use premade overlays. I want to learn to do it myself. Thanks.

there is a problem with the scratches/dust actions - they stop to work after the movie is longer than 1,5 min - how to make a script ( if then) which resets the time value?

Did you get this solved? Running into the same problem. Thanks!

add %3600 to the expression. It should look like time*200%3600
