I grew up in Greece and at the etime Majorette were the major brand available for purchase. As a kid it was close to impossible to find anything else, unless you were for the usually larger and cheap feeling plastic ones from a variety of local and not companies. They were (80s) well made cars and even the ones with the opening parts tended to be well built without much issues (breaking etc). Not to say I didn't have 1-2 with a missing door or something. Still, I had about 130 in total and 1-2 having them was not a bad number. I remember even back then they had specialized lines, like James Bond cars. With me owning a white Lotus in the submerged mode (though still with the wheels). It was great owning these cars, lots of fan as a kid. I even learned some life lessons with them. For example when you have a favorite toy car, do not place it on a heating appliance to "warm it up" during the winter months. It will get warmer, but it will also have its wheels melted. :( It was an Audi Quattro racing car. :( I loved that car. Thanks for sharing.
@@finalboss8624 I am sorry, I have no idea. I haven't bought a Majorette car in many years and never bought a mini gt whatever that is. Add to that that I was usually quite careful with my toys and never intentionally treated them badly. The Majorette cars of the 80s that I have experience with, were quite strong, but not to hit them with hammers or anything. If the new ones remain the same, they should be ok for mild hits etc. The matchbox and hotwheel models never felt as strong, at least to me.
I think I recently bought an old model of the Audi you are talking about! The casting is in great condition but the wheels are massive and stick out from the chassis haha. Found it at an antique mall.
I’ve become more aware as the tiers were slightly confusing to me as well. I definitely like the Rally Cars they’re starting to grow on me. Great break down and comparisons

Very interesting majorette has always been one of my favorites i like the new stuff but prefer the Vintage stuff. Majorette has always been a bit quirky back in the day they were known as the French Matchbox because of the similarity i remember being a kid and they're being a basic range and a deluxe range and to make it even more complicated I've come across basic majorette that has one opening part but it's hit or Miss and that's on the pegs over here in the UK all the best my friend 👍👍👍
A lot of people seem to really love older Majorette and it's always interesting to see it shown off. Definitely a brand strong on charm. I don't have any experience with the older stuff and the brand has always had issues in the US so there's just not much around new or old which is unfortunate. I just grab what I can find here and there.
Majorette makes nice quality castings. The details might be a bit off on some of the models though. The blue and yellow Porsche are super sweet. I love the Rally Polos 😍
I love majorette, have all of Porsche 934 released, they look so cool together. Beautiful. They and Matchbox are my favorite. I rarely buy those from expensive brands.
Cool, Majorette is an easy brand to love and the Porsche 934 is a fun one. How many are there in total? I think I have 3 versions so far but I'm sure there are many more.
Informative Video Karl..very interesting analysis of the Majorette Brand, I do like the Rally car range but have never seen any in the flesh, do the higher end versions run on a par with HW premium ??...thanks !!
I think Majorette Deluxe can be nicer than Hot Wheels Premium in some cases especially for things like the rally cars where they have pretty accurately reproduced the cars and liveries. Their castings also seem to feel a little crisper in detail but the opening parts and the wheels can be strikes against them at times.
Love these Beyond Hot Wheels because there are definitely many brands out there and I feel like a lot of US based collectors only know Hot Wheels. I like their RLC stuff but for the price, there are definitely more details models to get. Do you have any PGM models? I would like to see a video on your thoughts on those super expensive models. Also, Mini GT will have a pretty stock version of the R34 GTR… I know you were hoping there would be. 341 and 348 will be Bayside Blue and Bronze.
I've had a PGM Ferrari 250 GTO in my cart for a couple weeks but have been a little reluctant to pull the trigger after seeing Diecast Dudes video on their F40. I had also been planning to grab the F40 but think I've changed my mind so we'll see about the 250 GTO.
I always loved marjorette especialy since their come back what i love the most his their scale which i find its the perfect scale they whould just need to put out a real premium line
There are probably about 30-40 of these possible. M2 will come once I have a few more castings in the collection. Not sure about Jada as they aren't really very common in 1:64 any more and I only have 1 casting from them currently.
I used to dislike Majorette because one mall only had old stocks of the regular line with limited castings. I wasn't impressed. My opinion changed when a new mall opened and the deluxe and premium cars were available. I saw deluxe Porsches and that VW WRC hatch.
I've really enjoyed your videos! I had to go look at my VW Polo WRC car....I've had mine for nearly 4 years, got it off of eBay before they were offered in the US. I have the tinted windows, had no idea there were two versions
Thank you. That's amusing. I was perfectly happy with mine too even though I knew the deluxe version existed but of course couldn't pass it up when I found it.
