      Yes I'm very lucky because the fabric of my outfits kept me cool and was hands down the one thing every one around me appreciated and wished they had done for themselves as well.

    instead for rambling for unscented toothpaste one should carry Miswak. it's worth in every aspect then toothpaste n toothbrushes.

      The sheikhs in my group informed me that it is OK to use regular toothpaste. It is up to the individual whether they want to use toothpaste or stick to Miswak.

    Thank you! I'm trying to look for a good sun screen to take for Umrah but i'm not sure if it's just unscented to look out for or if i should be looking for alcohol free ones too.

    • @fatimask
      @fatimask  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's generally a good idea to use skincare products without alcohol because it's not good for the skin. Not sure if it would be an issue from the Umrah point of view though. It's on your skin and you're not consuming it. Whatever gives you most peace of mind.

  • @umairahoque909
    @umairahoque909 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    It is perfectly ok to use normal toothpaste, shampoo and soap as long as it does not have a strong scent that someone non-mahram can smell. please refer to (Jami` at-Tirmidhi 2786) The smell of deodorant and mists can build up if you spray too much; but toothpaste on the other hand doesn't leave an "attractive scent" that people passing by can smell. And the use of perfume for women applies at all times, not just Hajj. Bottom line, Islam isn't an extreme religion, so please take it easy.

    • @fatimask
      @fatimask  7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Wsalaam sister. Burka is not necessary at any point during Hajj/Umrah. In fact, as part of the Ihram requirement, you are advised not to cover your face.
      Hope this answers your question.

      Asgar Ali Khan
      dear sister
      السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته
      what is not allowed for the women to dress in ihram is the gloves and the niqab just like the T shirt for the men
      that doesn't mean that they show their body but the meaning is to wear simple cloth to cover
      حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ حَنْبَلٍ، حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ، أَخْبَرَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي زِيَادٍ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ كَانَ الرُّكْبَانُ يَمُرُّونَ بِنَا وَنَحْنُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم مُحْرِمَاتٌ فَإِذَا حَاذَوْا بِنَا سَدَلَتْ إِحْدَانَا جِلْبَابَهَا مِنْ رَأْسِهَا إِلَى وَجْهِهَا فَإِذَا جَاوَزُونَا كَشَفْنَاهُ ‏.‏
      Narrated Aisha, Ummul Mu'minin: Riders would pass us when we accompanied the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) while we were in the sacred state (wearing ihram). When they came by us, one of us would let down her outer garment from her head over her face, and when they had passed on, we would uncover our faces.
      Sunan Abu-Dawud
      (The Rites of Hajj (Kitab Al-Manasik Wa'l-Hajj))

      You can wear any moisturizer and sunscreen during Ehraam that doesn't have a scent in it. So check your regular things and if they don't have perfumey scent, then you should be OK to use it. Most products designed for "sensitive skin" are free of fragrances.
