I have a lite radio 3 elrs and I had the same problem with the channels jumping around I fixed it by going into Betafpv configurator and changing the channel inputs then I had another issue with the throttle roll yaw ect ect not matching up I fixed that by changing the channel mapping in betaflight and it worked fine i had to do this with 2 quads though however binding was as easy as pressing the binding button on the radio and using crsfr in betaflight hit bind and I was in business 👍🏼

Hey! I have same problem. I messed up my drone :) Guy from local drone service bring it back to default. Then 3 times connect and disconnect battery and drone goes pairing mode...
Thankyou for this jb it confirmed I know nothing and messed up the last couple of quads I tried lol to bind like the blind leading the bind! Having no computer makes it harder in some ways.. Its on the list after a few more drones. Thankfully a local nz quad shop @kiwi quads sorted our emax quads with same issue-the boy who opened the clock ,and they were honest and said they hadn't been bound correctly and one had come unbound! They really could have tucked us hard saying I'd fryed this and that and I'd have believed them. So nice to see there are still good humans doing business! Now to send them our betafpv Cetus and beta3" fingers crossed but I'm definite in need of a new radio!
BetaFPV was my introduction to FPV. Ironically, you put this video up on a day when I was struggling to bind a new Cetus X to a LiteRadio 2 SE. My issue was different though and I was lucky I caught it (since I'm still a noob to all of this but I am definitely learning). Connecting the controller to the BetaFPV configurator, the internal module had gotten turned off (I've never owned or used an external module). As soon as I turned the internal module on, it bound without any issues.
How do you turn the internal module on?
@@grahamashby2111 Using the BetaFPV configurator (not Betaflight), connect the controller and on the setup page, it's in the second section titled 'RF Module Setup', the very first option is for turning your Internal RF Module on or off....switch it to 'on'.

I found the easiest way to bind my Lite Radio 3 was to buy a Jumper T-Lite V2
That’s funny I found similar results by buying a TX16S… in fairness to the Lite Radio 3 it probably shouldn’t be expected to do anything as challenging as actually bind to a quad! Sadly it doesn’t even make a good door stop
LMFAO JB I just went through a similar headache this past weekend with my Meteor75. I am referring to the CLI dumps and Hex files on the website - they were useless. Luckily I had done a "dump all" and "diff all" before I started, and was able to comb through them for relevant data.
I then opened the quad and checked the hardware to confirm which FW was needed on the AIO.
Installing BF 4.4 solved my headaches. It was a very frustrating 2 days or so. I feel your pain.
A few months ago I bought a DarwinFPV AIO 1-2s FC with SPI ELRS onboard, which used this exact firmware. I went through about as much trouble to bind it as you just did.
Something to add: the version of beta flight you have flashed is very important if you have an spi receiver. If you are on 4.4 then you will be on ELRS 3.0. If you are on 4.3 then you will be on ELRS 2.0. The lite radio only supports ELRS 2.0, so make sure your receiver is flashed to 2.0 (or you have the right betaflight version if you have an spi receiver).
Yeah and i have a drone with an ELRS receiver (BETAFPV SuperD) on UART. And that receiver has ELRS 3.0 as default. Supposedly, such receivers cannot be downgraded from 3.0 to 2.0. I haven't tried it yet. But somehow funny and an outrage that I can't bind a new BETAFPV ELRS receiver with a new LiteRadio3. This is really incredible...
It seems there is now an ELRS V3 update. However, still a candidate. So do it at your own risk. But this shows that a stable ELRS V3 will definitely be possible or perhaps already is...
BETAFPV would have had to do that no matter how if they wanted to keep their remote compatible with new products...
@Sugalime3D_FPV I tried the 3.0rc1 firmware and now connecting to the betafpv configuration software the com port no longer shows... has any bound this TX to a pico?
@@chantryholdman3720 i think i had the same issue and coukd not update it. So maybe i understand something wrong or it does not work with my setup... My solution for now is to wait a little bit before i try again...

Hello, great video, I bought this one with elrs system, can I modify it to Frsky without buying modules? Only in the bind as you are showing?
I went through this pain a month ago. Except there was no connection. Ever. I gave up and bought a Radiomaster TX12 instead. Seems that ELRS 3 support was needed, which that controller does not have.
Rapidly unplug the drone three times until you get a double flashing green, then hit bind on the controller and boom. That’s how I did it.
Hey Josh. Appreciate your tutorials. I upgraded my Cetus-X to 4.4.0 to install a future GPS. Having issues with this Betafpv lite 3 radio to bind. Im assuming the ELRS is not updated to 3.0. Is their a firmware update for the remote? Also, unable to update firmware on this remote or it simply wont flash in Windows 11 Betaconfig
This remote can't be updated to elrs 3.0 I believe so you can't bind it to BF 4.4. You have to stay on elrs 2.x.
I have a crux35 hd v2 uart elrs and a literadio3 and cant bind them im reading about elrs 2.0 and elrs 3.0 i have a boxer on order but thats not going to ship for another month and its my 1st vista quad so im really looking forward to trying the digital system please tell me there's a way to bind them or im going to have to wait a month min to even try it😢. Also my crux35 came with a polar nano weirdly too thanks

I have a 2022 meteor 65 pro elrs and a radiolite 3. In order to bind them to I have to use the conigurator or can I just use the bind buttons?
The lite radio 3 pro elrs you use elrs configurator.
My problem is binding my lr3pro to my rekon 4LR with sbus elrs and not spi
My question is, can you update the elrs to 3.0 on the radio lite? I can't find any information on that.
Not for now, only literadio 3 pro, which uses regular edgetx.

Hey guys I bought an Eachine novice 4 a few months ago, and I’ve had a range of issues with it so far from screws that won’t come out to faulty batteries, after soldering a wire back in and going out to fly the goggles were disconnecting when I armed it, just the feed not the fps information, and I took the drone out today and the goggles basically don’t connect at all, they show twitches of the image but other than that nothing, just the gps information .
Any help on the issue would be greatly appreciated

After purchasing the Cetus x RTF Elrs version, I lost my drone in the reed forest. So I bought a new BNF, but it didn't bind to the Literadio3 controller, so I watched this broadcast. I tried to connect to the Betafpv configurator, but even if I tried to connect with the power off, the serial port kept turning off in loading. Please let me know how to fix it
Betafpv seems bit uncomfortable to use sometimes and touching a lot of issues, but this comes from the wideness of product line and integration level. Finding something like default firmware or settings for less popular customer and product usually even more disgusting.
For now, there is the one issue about betafpv impacting me. Elrs 3.x was not ported to literadio yet (work in progress afaik), making you unable to flash betaflight 4.4 and even some minor 4.3 to spi boards, cause this versions already migrated to new elrs, incompatible with previous.
Even so, im not 100% sure this issue should be resolved only from betafpv side. See: with betaflight 4.4 you have support for flysky, spectrum, and other ancient spi receivers, but dropped elrs 2.x - why shouldn't it be still available alongside with 3.x?
Have you tried binding it to the BetaFPV Radio Lite 2.0?
I think my Meteor 65S is bound to my BetaFPV Lite 2.0 radio as I see the throttle, pitch and yaw move in BetaFlight Conf. But when I disconnect it it doesn't arm. Any thoughts?

Hi Joshua, can the BetaFPV drones be used with regular ELRS transmitters, like the RadioMaster?
All elrs hardware is compatible no matter who makes it.
How do you bind the literadio 3 pro though
just got this drone and it will not bind with lite v3 remote. also the reciever remains in uart and crsf. i can use any help.

You can't as far as I know. It's a one way hash.
OK---same thing happened to me. Would not bind so I contacted BeataFPV. They said hit the bind button on the radio and plug and unplug quad 3 times leaving it plugged the 3rd time---it did bind but still won't fly. Motors arm for a second the spin out of control. In my case a waste of $109.
Number one cause for that in a bind n fly is you installed the props wrong.
The props came installed. It was BNF.
May bind it to cetus x, but using a pairing word)

None of my betafpv products connect with betafpv configurator. What am i doing wrong? I've tried 4 different computers and have the same problem with them all. PS I'm ready to subscribe to your patrion if you can help me.

I'm very unhappy with LiteRadio3 now. It has ELRS 2.0.1 (from December 2021 !). And there is no ELRS update for the LiteRadio3. So you can't use new ELRS receivers (for example BETAFPV SuperD ELRS receiver on a 5 inch quad) or ELRS SPI receivers with a higher Version of Betaflight than 4.3.
It seems there is now an ELRS V3 update. However, still a candidate. So do it at your own risk. But this shows that a stable ELRS V3 will definitely be possible or perhaps already is...
BETAFPV would have had to do that no matter how if they wanted to keep their remote compatible with new products...

thanks for your videos. but please turn your mic settings down a little. it distorts slightly, and therefore sounds very bad :)
No offense, but are you sure it's not your speakers? My mic definitely is not clipping. The mic gain is very low, like peaking at - 25 dB during normal speech, to avoid clipping. I carefully level to -14 lufs and then I run a hard limiter at -1 dB at the end of my audio chain to catch any transients. I do notice my standard audio level of -14 lufs is louder than most other channels use, so maybe it's causing your speakers to distort. But it's easy to turn down the volume.

Аппаратура LiteRadio3 из комплекта Cetus X начала шуметь вертикальной осью левого стика после 10 часов в симуляторе. Вертикаль левого стика сильно дрожит при плавной проводке. Видимо брак потенциометра! Обращался очень аккуратно. Братьев и детей которые могли бы сломать в мое отсутствие нету.

I do everything the same, I write this phrase in beta fpv configurator, copy the result to betafpv, but nothing happens after that
Unfortunately everyone watching this video probably already owns a BetaFPV LiteRadio, but if you haven't and are thinking of getting one, don't. It's literal trash. And my experience is almost everything BetaFPV makes is also garbage. The fact that you need a dedicated video about how to bind a radio and a bunch of problems happen show that BetaFPV's products are terribly designed. It's ELRS, it should work like every other ELRS product but doesn't because BetaFPV thinks they can do it better but ultimately does it way worse.
For the record -- and I think I was clear about this in the video -- the problems in this case were because the guy who owns this quad couldn't get it to bind and did all kinds of crazy things with the config and flash and messed it up. This one is NOT betafpv's fault.
@@JoshuaBardwell I don't think you should entirely blame the guy. If you check reviews on Amazon for the Meteor BNFs you'll see a bunch of other people saying that the firmware was broken. I even bought a Meteor65, did not mess with the firmware and had the same problems shown in the video. At the time I didn't find a solution so I just returned it on Amazon. I've just had nothing but bad experiences with BetaFPV products and since many of their products are marketed toward new pilots I think it's good to steer people toward other companies (had good experiences with iFlight, Happymodel). Besides software issues the LiteRadio 3 has horrible durability. Everyone I know who's had one has had the gimbles randomly start freaking out after 1-2 months of use. The Zorro is so much better

Betafpv sucks. I can't get this trash to bind to my drone. I have no clue how to figure out what is wrong. Fpv community is toxic on reddit.
With elrs 3.0 it got even worse - now you need betafpv configurator 2 and once you managed to update the literadio 3 to elrs 3.0 usb is not working anymore. Dont ask why. Also it will only bind to one of the recievers i tried so far, all on 3.3.0...

I dont think you copied the compete set of numbers and pasted them in the cli. It looked like some of the numbers left off.

I tried LiteRadio last year I don't recomand this radio to anyone, I had keep recalibrating the sticks and is so unprecise

BETAFPV shame on you that my LiteRadio3 doesn't work with these receivers yet. Thus, the LiteRadio3 is really rubbish at the moment! @@BatzBenzerFPValso put the BETAFPV hall gimbals on it. After 7 months my poti gimbals was defective... The good thing is, it's easy to change.

Actualicé mi cetus X a la 4.4 de betaflight y el modulo externo nano TX a 3.x de elrs y no funciona y los controles en betaflight estan bloqueados, sin embargo en betafpv configurator van a la perfeccion... Asique he decidido vender la literadio 3 y comprar una radiomasterzorro para tener mas opciones de actualizacion y de modificacion de parametros.
Definitivamente la literadio 3 no es recomendable si quieres profundizar el mundo del FPV.

Me. Because I bought the Cetus x kit before any binding tutorial. It honestly wasn’t All that bad. Might be a good option for a kid, if they have access to a laptop that is.
The drone is absolute trash, and the tune is crap. Constant desyncs I think, falls out the sky on sharp turns.

tended to be easier in use than others, but... fpv hobby is not something that easy to make easier

literadio 2/3 still most compact rc transmitters with integrated antenna. Also highly likely literadio 2 forms was stolen by (great and terrible) jumper t-lite. While literadio was copied from xbox controller. While literadio 3 looks self-designed. While jumper t-pro stolen again from dji. Lol
Quick, learn how to bind it before the gimbals stop working.

@@BowOneFire I considered it, but the price of the gimbals was about what the radio was, and the only reason I bought this radio was to have a very inexpensive D8 radio. So instead of buying upgraded gimbals, I bought the V2 radio for a few bucks more than the price of just the gimbals. I'm happy with BetaFPV's receivers, their 2.4 and 915mhz modules, but their little radio turned out to be a waste of money.

Not exactly. The SPI receiver saves the cost and board space of the ESP chip, which is significant.
@@JoshuaBardwell I guess I’m talking about the bigger picture, the cost of maintaining software to do a job that other software already does and does a much better job of doing. My personal experience with this exact equipment was the FC getting bricked by betafpv config when updating to match the controller firmware, and betafpv refusing to exchange for another. So i foolishly bought another and it wasn’t recognized by betafpv config. It’s dodgy software that they need to either ditch or put a lot more money into, or just put a regular RX and call it a day.
