fun fact: the pilots who could use phase shift and the stims were robots because back then pilots would die when shifting or stimming, referencing the time between titanfall 2 and apex
just to add technically human pilots are able to phase shift since they can use the booster Phase Rewind and being able to go into phase while using Ronin
the stim not being injected was because the stim pilot was a robot, so I assume you wouldn't be able to get a needle through metal. Instead, I think stim was more of a nitrous tank for the pilot instead, as it actually healed you instead of damaging octane.
They used simulacrums for phase pilots too because it was dangerous for a human to phase as you see what it did to wraith and how octane gets damaged from stim cause it’s high amount in something that could be lethal to the average human that’s why they used simulacrums for those things.
@@marilynnewhouseNot entirely true. It was confirmed that all the pilots could use all of the abilities, doesn't matter if they are simulacrums or not. This is also confirmed in the game, because you can see human pilots use phase shift to get into the dropship or their Titans, You can also see them using phase shift and stim in executions. Also, in the first Titanfall, You could use stim, and there we're no simulacrums in that Game.

And Mirage was voiced by Roger Craig Smith who also voiced Batman in Arkham Origins
They both can sound pretty similar if they do a deeper voice

The Havoc with select fire plays and looks a identical to Northstars sniper. I wish they'd add select fire back for the Havoc, I swear it was supposed to be a mini version of Northstars gun. Maybe Rampart made it, it was said that a "devotion LMG lover custom made the Havoc" I think Rampart made the havoc out of parts from the northstar sniper.
I reckon they should integrate it into the base model, like choke on the Pk and Triple take
Nearly every legend ability is just taken from titanfall. Gibby passive is legion gun shield, and gibby shield is just titan dome shield. Even the same colors. Rampart shield is Awall but way worse.
Newcastle's shield is basically Tone's front shield minus being able to shoot thru it and it being mobile
@Anonymys43 I'd argue that the Newcastle shield resembles more of the shield captain grunts that you see in some segments of the TF2 campaign and on the higher difficulties of frontier defence. The grunts that have the particle shield and can move with it. But it definitely also resembles tone particle shield.

there is no proof i cold find surrounding this but it might be owned by a diffrent family member or something like that
Probably no connection at all, Lastimosa was one of the artists names from respawn. So they probably just reused the name. I could be wrong tho 🗿

While I LOVE Titanfall, I can see why they wouldn't put Jack Cooper in the game other than his age. I think it's for actually a good respectable reason. Respect. They probably don't want the fandom to see a Jack Cooper that isn't wall running and alot weaker coz he'd have to be weakened to be balanced in the game. It's like when you see superman in fortnite which is cool but it doesn't make sense he can be killed by bullets. And I gather respawn doesn't want the same for Jack. If yall say "But ash was in titanfall 2" well yes but she wasn't a main character.

The stim and phase pilots are simulacra and can only use those abilities because no human being can withstand them. My thoery is that Wraith tried experiment with phasing on herself. And obviously Octane uses stim and is hurt during the process which is why he needs that Dialysis machine (Big ass cylinder).

2 drops of a titanfall stim could keep you awake for days according to a voiceline from grunts and (not confirmed yet but note worthy) pilots had to surgically add 2 more lungs and an extra heart to withstand the full stim as a human rather than a robot like in titanfall 2
This. A lot of people seem to forget about the first titanfall and focus on titanfall 2 all the time, a bit of cool dialogue and lore from the first game, especially the burn cards which add to the lore and in-game mechanics where some pilots are supposedly supposed to be transhuman because they get augments and transplants shit like that.
It's also interesting to note the fact that all the playable pilots are human (not including the burn cards), and they use stim, which is supposed to be dangerous for humans to consume and designed for use by machines and simulacrum.

Huh... something just occurred to me. I know a lot of Titanfall players don't want Apex to be featured in any potential sequel, but Wraith provides a pretty obvious solution. There's a version of Wraith from a dimension where the IMC won the Frontier War, right? So if there is ever a TF3...just have it take place in a dimension where the Apex games don't take place. Maybe Blisk can do something other than...disappearing to start a random ass bloodsport.
