The People & Places of North Mayo video series: Wavesweeper and the Western Strands Hotel, Belmullet

In the bustling town of Belmullet, in the Barony of Erris in North Mayo we meet with David Tyrell of the Western Strands Hotel and WaveSweeper Sea Adventures. Together they provide your accommodation, teach you how to surf, kayak, paddleboard and snorkel as well as serve delicious food. They really have it all!
David tells us about these businesses came about and grew. The Western Strands also host regular open mic competitions live from The Lounge on select Friday evenings; they also serve delicious locally sourced cuisine and incredible cocktails or two with a lively atmosphere before retiring to bed!
