thank you for your detail of how to replace the needle threader. Apart from getting my husband to get the circlip off I managed all myself. Thank for your all your videos. Going to order another now as a spare!!
Dude, I'd give you 1,000 likes if I could. And did you hear my sigh of relief when you said losing that circle thing was nothing to worry about? I bet you did! THANK YOU!!!
Thank you so very much. Your tutorial will help me to alleviate an ongoing issue with my vm5100. I have just ordered two of these units online and will give it a go myself as I no longer have a service contract on the machine. Thank you kindly for sharing your wisdom and skills.
Excellent video!!! Was able to easily replace the threader on my wife's Babylock Elisimo using these instructions. Probably saved at least $100 on a service call.
Thank you so much for this video. It wasn't "easy" but your instructions helped me change my threader. Also thanks for the info about the e-clip. It works now!
The spring above the threader is damaged on my machine what part would I need to order for replacement of that spring. I have the new needle threader part.
Thank you for this video! I understand the directions perfectly, but to say getting those 3 holes to line up…then slipping it into the shaft is more than ‘fiddly’ to me😂. I’m still struggling….glad I have a backup machine! My dealer is retiring….
Your video is very helpful, but do you have a video showing how to put the spring back on? It would have been helpful if you had also shown this step since you showed taking it off; especially since it looked quite tricky to get it off. Thank you.
Do you have any info on where I can find all three parts? I can only find the threader piece online but i need the link and the main component that attaches to the shaft. All of it fell off and got lost in transit! Any help would be amazing!
thank you very much for this one and yes hubby did lose the circlip. i need to access the foot jack as i have a bent spring in it any chance of a video on how to take the side panel off or is all off i currently have the twin pedal lead pulled up with tape for my machine to work lol. thank you.
I am late to the party on this one....but, the spring above the needle threader on mine was not hooked to anything...so, I'm lost on 2here to hook it to.
this is a great video problem is my brilliant babylock doesn't have a removable ring at the bottom. I can not for the life of me figure out how to get it off
Yes Kerry, it requires a good pull or you could also press your threader button with the machine switched on and then as it starts to come down switch it off. When you’re finished adjusting it will return upwards when you switch on again.
Anyone know on here why my threader won't thread despite it being a new one 🙈I have even taken it off and put it back on again I don't know why it won't thread it,. I could cry right now 😭😭
I have been a repairman for over 20 years. I disagree with your removal method for the E clip: potentially you will bend the threader shaft mechanism. Just rotate the E-clip so the opening on the clip is facing inward. Place the corner of a eyeglass screw driver into the E-clip then just slip it off. Secondly the E clip should be re-installed. If it was not necessary it would never have been installed!! The retaining spring also should be shown to be re-installed.
Thank you for your input Allan. I agree that it would be better to use a micro screwdriver to remove the circlip though in our experience mechanisms haven’t been damaged doing it this way and if someone doesn’t have one to hand it can still be removed. For many years these clips weren’t supplied on the shaft and during training at Brother I was told they were added due to some machines arriving new to customers with the threader unit having separated in transit which is not acceptable, however they work perfectly without the clip and it is easier for the customer to replace again if necessary. The video doesn’t show the spring being replaced but makes mention of it. Looking at the other comments here and reviews on our website from purchasers of replacement threaders I’m pleased that many have found the video useful.

this is a great video problem is my brilliant babylock doesn't have a removable ring at the bottom. I can not for the life of me figure out how to get it off
This worked PERFECTLY for me!!!!!
You beaut!! Back in action
Thank you so much! just managed to fix the threader on my embroidery machine x
Could you do a video on the little wire at threading number 6, putting it back in place?
Hi Kristie, I've just posted your request - hope it helps, Keith.
My V3 threader doesn't come Down when switched off. Is it worth pushing it down a bit harder?
