CULT scene...the best in the entire movie...Here is perfectly caught the atmosphere of the 80's ... Asphalt Jungle, half-empty mall punks and skaters ... Pure beauty, this is why many people feel nostalgia for the 80's...
Miki Mecov It was just a different time, a special time. If you didn’t want to be bored at home, you were outside. There were no cell phones, you had to interact with others, keep yourself busy, and that usually meant getting into trouble. What a great time to be a teenager. We did shit in those days that CPS would probably take my kids away just for talking about.
Hell yes! The Daggers were.... Tony Alva, Christian Hosoi, Steve Olson, Eddie Reategui, Steve Steadham, Jesse Martinez, Mondo Beck, Johnny Ray, Maso Miyashiro and Robert Rusler as Tommy Hook.
@@BruceOp well for one , it was a TERRIBLE movie .. It was a love story with a handful of skate scenes intertwined .. That love scene ?! 🤣 after Weird Science and 'Nightmare 2 he had SERIOUS momentum ... Then after Thrashin' I guess u can say his career received a "DAGGER" in the heart .. Look at his IMDB
Start it up, internet skate gang 🗡🗡🗡🗡🗡🗡🗡🗡🗡🗡🗡 We can have meet ups, bbqs, diy skate spots and other old skater events. I'll bring a 30 pack of shitty beer and a dagger stencil to the first get together 🍻🤙
got love for the 80's....both breakin/bboying & that whole 2nd wave of skateboarding are memorys....but damn good memorys!!!! Everything seems to go full circle/make a comeback/revival but you can never quite capture how it was in its time.....much like rock n roll, the mods, the punk or the acid house/warehouse party & rave movement here in the uk.....
How to describe bad 80s skating gang: Drive down the streat, jump over a car, drive around a kid, kick the "ice-cream" truck, insult another's music taste, and fade in to the sunset.
I just got that scene from 2:34 it is a reference to the 1984 movie called "breakin" so actually that was the order I saw them, so I got it only now since two years I guess😅 So on 2:34 Dagger says Breakin is the memory stating the movie and whole dancing stuff epoce is over and skating is all for then
First time I seen this movie I was 16 in 1998. My buddy From Long Beach California I met in Job Corps was Steve and he was 21. Became my best friend and went and stayed in Lbc for 3 weeks and it changed my life. Anyways we were in a video store and he came up to me with this movie and was like " have you seen this ?" I told him I never even heard of it. He's like nah that's crap bro, so he rented it and well it became my top 5 favorite movies of all time. Being 17 in mid August at Huntington Beach in 99-2000 was amazing to say the least. Nah fuck that it was beautiful, and the best 3-4 weeks of my life. To this day. Unfortunately I found out my bro Steve has passed away and it fucking killed me. He introduced me to SoCal and this movie. I guess I got off track I suppose. Time goes fast. And one day all you have is your memories.
ya see kids, teenagers of today ( and past 10 years.) We actually had to make our OWN movie called LIFE. By going outside and tearing it up. Not flopping on a couch staring at a tiny screen
That’s sweet how they watched out for the kid and even one of them gave him a little pat on the head. That shows they weren’t all bad. Just misunderstood.
Amazing movie! After watching this again I am 1000 percent positive the breaker would have made hook were he's own ass as a hat!!!! If it wasn't for he's gang of lost boys of course 💯
A few of the Daggers died of cirrhosis, most have DV charges. Those who had children have very limited visitation rights. They could do a decent job fixing your car for the price of parts and a case of Natty Light.
This film was not corny. This film was amazing.
***** i agree 1 of my all time favs
Jay Eff North Shore also! Another classic!
It was Poppin!
Yeah I didn’t see any corn either.
agreed
Just watched the movie yesterday...
Never was a skater, but love the old school hardcore punk spirit.

Thanks dude !! i was looking 4 that info
Russler ruined his career by doing this film
How so?

The bad skate gang wearing black vests should have been enough for Russler to have turned it down..
1:28 the way the driver put up his fist like he had the courage to do anything 😂 such a 80s trope
Shake the fist! Lol
ah, the 80's/90's, when every group of more than five that dressed a certain way was a tough gang
This comes way back since the 50's
can't breathe. laughing way too hard. there's just so much going on hahaha
"hey look, monk's with em..."
"so what? he smells"
classic.
Ay "BLACKEYED BLACKEYED BLACKEYED" Get doWn!!!!!!!

You in so cal?
hell yeah im down! LOL
I'm in homie. Daggers for life.
I’m for sure down too l
1:14 -1:28 is my fav part of the movie, the drivers response kills me
Haha the theme music that is playing as the daggers ride over the hill top is hilarious. Like a horde of aliens or predators are on the way.
Should watch this scene edited with a track by Miami Nights 1984 called "On The Run" fits it way better.
Hosoi: "For wimps..."
Jaks -- the real life inspiration behind the Daggers, played by the Alva team
I still got this on VHS.
"Breaking is a memory.........for wimps". Brilliant drive by insult.
Hook is dressed like he's on his way to the Blue Oyster Bar.
Ohhhhh sht ! This was my movie back in the day ! R.I.P thou to Beautiful Pamela Gidley who played Chrissy she died way too young
enough cheese to make a million sandwiches.
“For wimps” - Hosoi LMFAOOOO
aaaahhhh 80s Nostalgia hit like brick
this movie was so awesome, the board was very tricky to get and the wheel of fancy pancy was even harder
the ORIGINAL head spin position!!!

Haha kicks dudds jam box over as they leave.this and breaking 2 electric boogaloo are two 80s classics
Nah just tha FIRST because tha 2 one is pretty trashy.
The most 80s scene I've ever watched
random flip! 👍 Ralph from the valley won't try that ish! "Breakin is a memory."

Cool vests
I still feel that way
The radness is rad.
What a bad ass scene!!
Dude what’s the name of the song??? ! That begins when hook does the flip . That jam is wicked
Hook & the Daggers 🗡️ are the coolest
HE'S WITH THE DAGGERS DUDE // HE SAYS "BEAT IT YOU VAL JERK"

I mean just think 20 years fr now when some1 ask you what's the wildest thing you did as a teenager. Don't you want an interesting answer?
Jason Peter's your gonna say that while watching a movie on youtube
Mad Meninist I'm not a teenager any more. Lol, I was a teenager in 1990s.
Mad Meninist Your reply makes no sense
Did I hit a lil too close to home?
That’s sweet how they watched out for the kid and even one of them gave him a little pat on the head. That shows they weren’t all bad. Just misunderstood.
Check it out! It's Hook and The Daggers!!!!!
Imagine waking up one day and life was like this? I'd think I was trippin or stuck in some weird parallel universe.
Would be amazing tho

Lol wtf did I just watch they probably laughed at this hard asf 😂😂😂
That one time when Alva fought the Bones Brigade.
OMG...that driver looks like my friend!! :p
breakin is a memory
So sick so rad such a bad ass scene
Ah yes nothing more badass than seeing a group of moody teenagers in leather riding wide ass boards down a hill. This is a joke by the way.
Is that the same hill from gleaming the cube?
Breaking is a memory
I got thrown out of the Daggers for drinkin' chocolate milk. Harsh.
Alva had a model out based on the Daggers.(COOL HUH?) they recently made some more. I read about it in Skateboarder magazine.Alva is T.A
Was the Steve Steadham?
Saw a white Alva Dagger Tail board for sale yesterday, if it was black I would've got it!
Hosoi with the Dagger Hammerhead. Bet that board is a homey grail piece now
The daggers vs gangs from other movies? Who wins in this fight?
As an 80s skater, I can tell you this is complete fiction. Any actual punks like that would have got a board to the head.
Not if he hook from the daggers!
Let them roll up on some Pop Lockers in Compton like that in the 80's lol
why the full movie is delete?
Still have my Lance board
❤clássicos
❤🔥🔥🔥
May be the reason I’m in a mc nowadays 😊😂😂.

For reaL
Daggers blow
Rusler rides goofy foot. Christian Hasoi!
Holy Jesus. Only in an EIGHTIES movie would a Skateboard gang be remotely menacing!
There were a few Skater Gangs in the 80's but they were all a joke, Now some of the Punk Gangs were the real deal....
FLOW OR GO HOME
Pastor Ralph?
Things were so much better when skateboarders ran the streets.
yo qiero ser un daggers.-,
@ 1:28 TOMS shoes before they were too mainstream.
I just wish they would release some turquoise high top side vans with the off the wall patch on the side. Loved those things
In the end Thanos won the downhill massacre
Anyone see Anthony Kiedis .. look closely
He's at the concert scene with The Peppers. It's in Point Break that he plays a surf gang member
I knew him when he was Ralph and he lived in the valley, now he is londonmonk and he thinks he is cool
14 people hung out with ralph in the valley
it was embarrassing to watch when it came out and still is.
The black skaters name is ray barbie. He was pretty tight in the dsay
that's not Ray Barbee. It's Steve Steadham
TOTALLY NOT RAY BARBIE.... 1000% STEVE STEADHAM
Shon , u are dumb ....
Wrong
Idiot
In all fairness to the Daggers they were the most racially diverse gang ever lol.
