I think Alear believed on Griss a little to fast at first. He didn't even question what he was talking about, and went straight into a existential crisis.
Actually at the start of the game, Alear did have that nightmare where they saw themselves with the red hair and twisted grin on their face. They even mentioned that they had an inkling that something was off about them after this scene and asked Sigurd for confirmation. Another proof that backed up Griss' claim is the fact that Lumera never did a summon incantation to call forth Sigurd when she did. Alear, on the other hand, does that.
@@CGrascal It was still weird. Alear clearly demonstrates having divine dragon powers, like entering the Somniel. It's also odd that everyone immediately concludes that if Sombron is Alear's father, Lumera couldn't possibly be their mother. It would make much more sense for characters to wonder why Lumera would have a child with Sombron.
Yeah but think English griss did it better bc his voice by Mick Wingert and who also voiced Kane from titanfall 2 and I could easily recognized as voice because of his laughter th-cam.com/video/BMZVWNdvbmw/w-d-xo.html
@@FAL_ Considering we saw evil Fogado in the Wave 4 teaser we'll likely get good versions of the hounds which would complete the 5 additional characters (2 being the dragons we saw) we'll get in the DLC.
@@hoshueyeplopper4465As well as new classes. IS made an oopsie and not only does one of the new classes shows up on the loading screene with a new sprite but the sprite in question is a white haired version of Griss
@@DDKoD White haired version? Isn't the whole sprite colorless though which means we don't actually know the new Griss' color scheme yet since they are a fabrication enchanter sprite. Edit: The class tip probably shows up beacause they appear as an enemy in Soren paralogue.
They did technically covered that when Alear mentioned having doubts of who they are because of that nightmare they had WAY at the start of the game. Sigurd was even called in to answer some more questions as well.
The only one of the four hounds i truly like, which is strange cause i usually don't care a lot about crazy psychopaths like Peri but I just fell in love with his JP voice. Wish he was recruitable
If you'd paid any attention to the story, you should've realised Alear had always had some doubts about his origin: why he had no recollection of who he was, that he was so terrified of the corrupted, and how often he had nightmare (or memories) about him being an red-haired, red-eyed, evil-grinning person surrounded by chaos and destruction. This event just confirmed his doubts to be indeed true. Also, it's "than", not "then".
The original Japanese version is vastly superior to the English dub, which for all FE gameshave been very forced and substandard. I find it unbelievable there are insecure commenters who insist the English one is better.
The English is great on its own though. It is just when you compare him to one of the best Japanese voice actors Tsuda Kenjiro.... yeah... but the English one still does a great job.

Griss is the best villain in this game. I find him more unnerving than Sombron himself

Hopefully they add him as a playable in a patch later, he was probably the best of the four hounds
