I feel like Tenpai players need to make half the side deck for going first post info. Put in all floodgates-rivalry, gozen, anti-spell, koaki Meru drago. Going first for game 3 is a huge surprise and almost always leads to an assured W.

@@Xvhalk3rieX I mean I only go first after a loss. Unless you win die roll you should beat your opponent easily because they didn’t set up anti tenpai board. Also 3 shifter 3 forbidden droplet (yes I know they conflict, but you only need one of them going 2nd to get the ez dub)

Fiendsmith stuff just makes playing through hand traps too easy. Needing three plus shifter to stop them dead in the tracks is astounding. Then games 2 and 3 show up and now your opponent has floodgates that hose you and builds an anti tenpai board.

@@ChloeDReidtbf mermaid was good because orcust was good, outside of cheesy high roll decks if you were on mermaid you were playing a deck that had it as your primary win condition.
This more feels like the month to 6 week long period before summon sorc got banned where everyone was just azzathothing each other and it was complete horseshit. I'm looking forward to tier 0 fiendsmith after they ban the cheap autowin cards that are abuseable with it currently.

0:15 I feel like you shouldn't even drop shifter DP blind game 1. They're not starting with black witch even if they have it 99% of the time and you have Imperm anyway. You also have Ash, so you're playing into Talents regardless. And everyone moved away from Talents in the main to play more hts. Blind Game 1 you should just hold your shifter.
Not to mention, Shifter under Tract forces them to banish a card from hand for no value. There's also the very real possibility they're on a Deck that doesn't care about Shifter. So unless he knew that guy was on SE FS, you should be prob dropping Shifter only after they start playing.
just cause you have ash doenst mean you have to use it on turn 1 to play into talents , but also i think its safe to assume every opponent is on snake eye fiendsmith
@@TheDBGrinderWouldn't you rather not waste the Shifter if it's like Tenpai, Ritual Beast, Kashtira, etc? It's less likely that it's a non-shifter deck AND they main Talents AND they draw it imo. Haven't seen a single top player maining it recently. And anticipating it's SE FS, you often get more value from making them commit to something like FS Tract eff. Turning off the Fiendsmith engine for the rest of the game sounds pretty good; the tract and a random card in hand getting banished can be the difference maker. Idk it's close but I think blind game 1 it's worth holding for a play. Especially with a hand like that, not worth shotgunning really.
I was testing the wcq format. I will never wait for m1 in g1 to drop shifter. I can assume that opp is on SE, I rather use shifter blind than getting hit by talents
