felt very Mitch Hedberg in their delivery, Ally was so funny in that whole sequence. the way they held their arms and said "woah" was so funny in a way i truly don't know how to describe
@@marys4038 truly a bewildering moment, both Ally and Emily’s reactions where so in line with mine. i think brennan just remembered about muffet in that moment and tried to play it off as if she was there the whole time, which is wild
the look on his face like, why is the whitest thing I've ever experienced? bc honestly, who says white ppl don't have culture, when clearly there are gummi bear theme songs.
This ep was so good, the character interactions, the npcs, the horror, and then the last ten minutes RIPPED MY SPINE OUT AND WHIPPED IT AROUND. Thank you for this comp as always
I had to rewind the last bit because l sang along too loudly. (The Danish dub's version is sung by the same guy who sang our first Pokémon theme song.)
Man after the end of the episode I’d probably straight up tell Scheherazade that I owe her a life debt lol, after what they escaped from lol. Emily got 3 trauma tokens just from looking at it😂
0:32 Emily Axford the woman that you are One of my favorite things about Ylfa is her way of speaking, she is constantly saying phrases that convey a simple meaning but are not the exact words you'd expect. Like "sleepover party" instead of slumber party, "your ears are honkin' big," "eavespeeping," "lolipopcorn" and ''cinnamon toast rolls," I could go on. It's such a subtly genius way of making Ylfa sound childish and awkward.
so incredibly wild, the stepmother already seemed more sinister to me than the fairies but oh boy i was not expecting the last like 5-10 minutes to go that way. the cosmic/body horror stuff is a real strength for brennan
2:16 “Where had this bitch been in initiative?” Is one of the funniest things I’ve ever heard 😂

They were speaking for all of us in that moment because Brennan truly NEVER mentioned little miss muffet and all of a sudden she’s just. There.

Because it suggests that if Ms. Moffet had been mentioned before, Ally would have attacked her.
I think my favorite thing about the adult sleepover bit is how FAST zac jumped on it. he simply could Not let that joke pass by unnoticed
Lou's confusion at Gummy Bears is hilarious.
I was also confused tbh
Hearing it, I remember it happened, but couldn’t for the life of me say _when_ or _why_ it happened.
HILAAAAARIOUS!!!! I came here to say this as an 80s kid hahaha
I was also Lou solely because I literally couldn't process the audio
the look on his face like, why is the whitest thing I've ever experienced? bc honestly, who says white ppl don't have culture, when clearly there are gummi bear theme songs.
Murph talking about the retired dice with peak tired sitcom dad energy was the best running thread for me 😂
Emily trying to offer him dice for a game-breaking roll and him angrily refusing had such "married couple bicker and laugh at the same time" energy.
This ep was so good, the character interactions, the npcs, the horror, and then the last ten minutes RIPPED MY SPINE OUT AND WHIPPED IT AROUND. Thank you for this comp as always
for real!! it was truly one of the most terrifying if not THE most terrifying ep yet for me
I'm looking forwards to finding out what y'all mean by this xD
roll to gaslilght
I loved everybody started sing the Gummi Bear theme, and Lou was just , "What?!"
i had the exact same reaction
It was bc when they ambushed the creatures sent to kill Tim, he cast jump on himself and Ally said he jumped like a gummy bear or something
Lou's Pinocchio voice is so good.
I was absolutely losing my mind every time someone said "adult sleepover gone wrong" thank you so much
can't get zac's "RAH-LAX!" out of my mind
I also really enjoyed Mother Timothy Goose dancing around holding Pib's paws like a cat-owner annoying their kitty.
The fact that it's called "Toy Island" in this context is...a choice.
Would you have preferred the original pleasure island?
Best part of the episode was Pinocchio using his nose as a stripper pole in my opinion. I was watching that at work and could not keep it together.
Emily's cackle when Murph rolled that 8 just tickles my brain in the best way
"Where has this bitch been in initiative" I'm using that in just, like....life
0:41 The delivery of "Hey! Shut up!" gets me so goddamn hard
I had to rewind the last bit because l sang along too loudly.
(The Danish dub's version is sung by the same guy who sang our first Pokémon theme song.)
My only disappointment here is that it’s “Toy Island” not “Pleasure Island” and that would’ve been perfect.
They were all boy toys!
Completely non-sexual and with zero contact
Just like Mehemblur would have wanted it
We know it gets out of hand!
Man after the end of the episode I’d probably straight up tell Scheherazade that I owe her a life debt lol, after what they escaped from lol. Emily got 3 trauma tokens just from looking at it😂
BRHWJQV TRAUMA TOKENS 😭😭
[to the tune of the witch's entrance from into the woods] BOYS, BOYS, AND NOTHING BUT BOYS
This was one of the best episodes. The end had me gutted

1:47 when the dog showed up I literally snorted with laughter
1:24 friends can snuggle!!!
“We all know, it gets out of hand! No contact” 😂 that whole speech uncut was golden
NOOOO SNUGGLING >:(
The note at 0:42 - same. Always.
I don't mean to sound hyperbolic. But this is the greatest 2 minutes and 28 seconds in recorded human history.
What we all really need is the whole bit with THAT one. The most terrified I’ve ever been watching this show….
This episode wxas so fucking good and terrfying i've been looking to talk to peoplee about it for hours
so incredibly wild, the stepmother already seemed more sinister to me than the fairies but oh boy i was not expecting the last like 5-10 minutes to go that way. the cosmic/body horror stuff is a real strength for brennan
This episode has SO much in it
That intro is 👌
~whoa~
