Polymer clay artist too, when your clay is old it gets hard so anything lying around for like 2years its gets rock hard. I still use the stuff i have or have been sent but I mix it with new clay so that way it doesn’t reharden.
Great video! Coud you tell me if I can make mugs or things like that without havin problems with liquid or temperatures? If it is posible, is that glaze from the video a good choice for those kind of things?
This was a wonderful video, your tips are definitely going to help a lot of beginners! 😊💖 I follow you on instagram and I’m so happy to have discovered your channel here now. You covered everything in a fun and easy-to-understand way, the only thing I can think to add is for clay artists to keep baby-wipes or paper-towels and rubbing alcohol handy for keeping your workspace, hands and other tools clean as you work. (Clay is like a magnet for dust, fur, etc. especially the softer clays.) 😆
how do you keep your clay from picking up dust or things like string from your clothes? it doesnt seem to matter how clean i keep the surface i always have to either use alcohol before baking or acetone after to get little particles off (i end up using both a lot of the time too cuz ill notice some after baking)
I think it really just comes with the territory of working with polymer clay. No matter how much you clean your surface, you’d always end up with some sort of dirt or lint or dust. Just keep using your alcohol before baking or use acetone after baking but not over polymer clay painted with pastels😊
@@dearbeasties well that at least makes me feel better! I thought I was just doing something very wrong haha. I haven't tried coloring with pastels yet but plan to in the near future! Thank you for your reply! 😊
@@dearbeasties What are the pastel paints you used? Are they some sort of clay paint because you seemed to differentiate using the acrylic paints afterwards. Maybe I missed it!
@@bonbondujour9212 I use chalk pastels to color my clay pre-baking and then I would add acrylic paints post-baking for any details I want to add to the figurine😊
Please show us how you made you needle tool, I have 2 kids and they are always waiting on tools, so if I can make more and it don't cost a lot I am always game ...thank you New sub....(Teresa's Journey)
Hi, what brand of chalk pastels do you use🥰
So beautiful!!! You are a true artist ~ can I ask, what is the paint powder you put on them before baking?

Great video! Only suggestion is quieter music. It felt like it detracted from the feel of your video. Just one person’s opinion :)
Thank you for the feedback!😄💖
Yes the music is too much
Music is fine. Thanks for the info!

@@JuanDavid-ex4xq polymer clay isn’t really meant to be used as serveware. It’s meant to be used for making small figurines and/or jewelry.
