    I went to Bhangarh with my cousins, and couldn't stay there for more than an hour after the sunset (lack of guts lol). This fort is beautiful during day time, but turns spooky after sunset. In evening, we did hear some strange sounds, most of them were of pigeons and other little wild animals living inside the fort but a few sounds were completely strange. There's village, around 2kms from the fort, most of the houses have dogs to protect them from evil spirit during night times (that's what a local guy told). Idk if it's really haunted or not, but at some places inside the palace (on 1st floor) you won't feel normal.
    PS: It's advisable to take your own vehicle, if you want to stay there till late. After sunset, place is totally deserted. No transportation will be available. I went there a few years back, and these days, I think the guards just won't allow you to stay after sunset, unless you've special permissions from the Govt authorities.

      Parav Mandhania So you can or cannot stay after sunset? Do people just sneak around after dark?

      Beruška Vozábová yeah, the fort is not covered with boundary walls from all the sides and has huge area. Guards are themselves afraid of keeping a vigil during night times. One can easily hide anywhere.

      Okay Bhangarh Fort. I've been there at night. For about 5 minutes. My uncle is a high rank holder at the local municipality. There are legit sounds of music and footsteps of dance coming from certain upper levels i have heard with my very own ears I shit you not. Idk where top5s got this from but the perfume story is also true. It's said to be the essence of afghani gulab. The village is no longer there. Residents have moved.

      Anshuman Roy woah!! I don't think the village has moved, because they call themselves the ancestors of Queen of fort and won't just leave the place just like that. But there are possibilities, they might've moved. I ain't sure.

    When you mentioned that Chinese urban legend of their souls wondering, it made me think of how in the Vietnam war the U.S. used to play an eerily sound over loud speakers in the jungle at night to frighten the Vietnamese psychologically. Apparently they have the same legend and the US would play sounds of people screaming like they're terrified lost souls and it actually put fear in the N. Vietnamese. Pretty interesting, if you look it up you can actually hear what they played.... Though I think you covered this in one of your vids once.

      @brandib264 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That was CRAZY!! I can't believe our government did this. I know we've done some fucked up stuff but this wild! They played on the Vietnamese's superstitions and legends in the recordings knowing it would freak them out. Goes to show you how desperate we were in their backyard... JUNGLES.

      @4FYTfa8EjYHNXjChe8xs7xmC5pNEtz 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The Vietnamese believe that your body must be complete and returned for burial to your hometown, or you cannot pass to the afterlife. Many North Vietnamese soldiers died far from their hometowns and their bodies were never found. The Americans took advantage of this belief to make recordings that were supposedly "lost souls" trying to find their way home again.
      A few years ago the US government returned the leg bones of a former Vietnamese soldier who had had his leg amputated in the war (I don't know why they kept the leg). He was overjoyed to get it back, and told the journalists "now my soul will rest peacefully after I die."

      wonder if this backfired with US soldiers complaining of weird shit going on?. Quite ironic when these are the same people who implode with milder cases in the USA. lol

    Thank you for including India. Yes, I've crossed Bhangharh fort while visiting Rajasthan, but this was in broad daylight. The fort is deserted after dark. It is believed that only a local pandit resides at the fort with his family, but once dawn falls, he doesn't leave the hallowed grounds of the temple, as the fort grounds are haunted and extremely dangerous. I cannot vouch for the authenticity of the legends surrounding the ruins, but the legends are quite famous. There have been rumours of people disappearing after entering the fort, never to return. On a side note, please do a Murderous Minds episode on the Nithari case!

    I visited Bangarh Fort when I was in eight grade as part of a school trip. Tourists were allowed to stay until seven pm, and during this time we attended the light and sound show that they were hosting. It was dark by the time the show began. Though we didn't experience any paranormal activity (probably because we were a large group of noisy kids) the atmosphere was quite uneasy and one of my friends was taken ill quite suddenly. She had to be taken outside due to an attack of nausea and dizziness. While we sat there someone told us about how the place was supposed to be haunted, and I got extremely spooked. I don't think I slept that night, lol.

    I'm Malay from Malaysia and also a person which live nearby gombak all I can say is orang Bunian (BunianPeople) is similar to fairy which most western society know. And yes mimaland is the most haunted place in Selangor only full with bunian. Just to let you all top5s viewer know bunian is a good force creature that live in other dimensional world that their have a portal that cannot be seen by human which allowed them to explore human world. This creature are just like us fully shaped human body and appears only with ancient clothes with mostly white color. And most of them also had a magical powers according to our witnesses that have seen this Bunian before. Let's just get to the good things, the only good about this creature is their lead most of the hikers and a person that lost in a forest. I guess that's the only things i know actually there's a lots of good things about this bunian I've only wrote only what've I known from my late grandmother.

    October was never my favourite month. But ever since I found Top5s, October is the best month ever! Also, I'm from Malaysia. So thanks for featuring something from my country in this list. The concept of Orang Bunian runs deep in the Malay culture. They are always related to people getting lost in forests, lost children and even people accidentally being "teleported" else where or accidentally walking into an alternate dimension. There are also stories about Malay people journeying to these alternate dimension to live with the Orang Bunian and even marry them.
    Ever since I was a kid, I was always advised to never go into the forest alone in fear of being taken by these Orang Bunian. Some people even call upon the Orang Bunian for help whether it's about health or wealth. Once when I was a kid, I witnessed my dad's friend being healed by a Malay healer, and he summoned a keris (a type of small knife weapon) out of thin air. He claimed the Orang Bunian passed it to his hand. That incident is still etched in my mind till today (I'm 25 now).

    i've been in lawang sewu before(around 2010) and that time the tourist guides there gives off some more information and history of the place. the basements were originally used for cooling system for the building before transformed into a prison. the prison used to held captive the native worker that are forced to work on building some other japanese hideouts around the country in fear that they might leaked the location to the enemy.
    the guides said that there are 2 kinds of prison and 1 execution room down there. one prison called "standing prison" and about half a meter width and thick. they said they cramped 3-4 people in there and slipped some sharp blade inside so that very slight movements from the prisoners will injure them. should they not died from the first prisons, they will be moved into the second prison. it's called "crouching prison" and you can see it at 9:39. some concept, they cramped some people inside and pour down dirty water up to their neck to let the scars from previous prison become infected. should this also not killed the prisoners, they finally move into execution room and had their head chopped off.
    i cannot confirm whether or not this torture story is true or not thou, so don't quote me on this. however, there are actually some sections of the basements that suggest this might be true.
    also, "sewu" is pronounced seh - who.

  • @6p9d9x

    there is really no other way to describe it, I fucking love top5s, you describe the stories in a way that makes them so much easier to understand than other channels, and you have so much respect for the victims in these stories. Its not just about getting a good scare on a late night, its about remembering the stories of people who have suffered more than we can comprehend, if it weren't for you, so many of these people would be forgotten. From the heroes of 9/11 to the victims of Japanese atrocities, there are too many names whos stories will never be told, and will be lost to history, but you have truly done a great service to them with your videos. Wherever they are now, they can at least rest a little bit easier.

    yo guys, if you wanna know more about Lawang Sewu. there was a tv show called "Dunia Lain" which literally means "Another World", a show where the participant is needed to stay in the most haunted place and filled with gruesome supernatural energy of the building from 12 AM to 5 AM. and the show is recorded Live.
    skip to 3:00. the ghost appeared from 3:50.
    the guy waved his hands bcs he "give up" and couldnt make it until the end
    rumour has it that this particular participant died 1 week after the show
