    Yeah... the conveniences of having electronics in everything come with the added complexities of maintaining and the higher cost of repairing them. Give me an all-gas range with no electrical components..... one that works with just standing pilot lights and nothing else. I want to be able to cook in the comfort of my home, in the middle of a power outage, in the dead of winter. No compromise!

      You are right on the money , more electronics mean future service calls .

    avoid range that has a computer, you will save yourself time and money. technicians always spike up there service charge when servicing a high end appliance.

    I don't need to program my oven. I need an oven that I set to a temperature and it goes to that temperature. That is all anyone needs.

  • @postholedigger8726

    I went to a commercial stove because all of the home ranges have computer controls. When an electrical spike killed the computer board in my Kitchen Aid range, the oven no longer worked Replacing the board is an expensive waste of time as the next electrical spike will destroy the computer again. After going through this nightmare I will never buy another kitchen range with a computer control. Jenn Air is just another expensive home range that is presented as a commercial range. It is nothing but another piece of computerized junk made to look like a commercial range.

      I agree. Commercial is the way to go. You can have a whole home surge protector installed in your breaker box for about $250. Solves a lot of issues.

    I spent $15K on a Thermador only to spend another $1200 to replace the sliding shelves 2 years later. They have ball bearings that get stuck after a single cleaning cycle. Everything else was great but the oven shelves are a total fail.

    what would you get for your kitchen.. Wolf vs Monogram?

    • @factorybuilderstoresfbs1497
      @factorybuilderstoresfbs1497 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Oooo! That's like asking which child do you love more, haha! FBS only sells premium brands so Wolf & Monogram are both stellar ovens with similar warranties, so you can't go wrong with either. It honestly boils down to your personal aesthetic and the "vibe" you're going for in your kitchen. A lot of people love Wolf's red knobs (that's usually the deciding factor), but we always suggest coming in to a showroom to see the ovens in person and to discuss your "want list" with a salesperson to ensure you're getting everything you're looking for.

      @@peter12266 same response as above! Viking is masterful when it comes to brand awareness, but all have their pros and "1 ups" depending on the home and the user. What "must have" features are you looking for? What's your esthetic? Give me a breakdown and I can tell you which one is best for you :)

    There is nothing PRO about these ranges they are simply big, flashy, and RIDICULOUSLY EXPENSIVE. Take a tour of the kitchen of a big hotel or restaurant and look at the ranges they use. They have absolutely NOTHING in common with these pieces of eye candy.

    Don't ever buy a Thermador product. Their after market service is horrid. They treat their customers terribly. After 4 months and conversations with 3 different people, I am STILL waiting on a refund for an incorrect part they sent to me. Absolute nightmare.
