These kids are unbelievable and they are the future of our sport. Someone give them a TV show on the Outdoor Channel. If I owned Ranger or Skeeter boats I would sponsor them.
He tries to get the best of both worlds, I have learned a lot about saltwater bass fishing from his videos but I don't just watch them for the tutorials. He is trying to satisfy the people who want to see some insane bass fishing and people who want to learn how to do some insane bass fishing.
Hey bro I fish O-sid harbor every week. My bait of choice is the 3in toast big hammer on a yellow warbait. The key to catching fish in o-side is pileings! Spotties live near cover because of the food source. Pileings are the only structure other than the rocks in o-side. If you want to catch a few fish ill let you in on some spots. Where joes crabshack is there is decent fishing, at the far end of the harbor is where the money is at! If you have a small boat of a kayak fish the pileings!
thanks for the advice bro and where by joe crabshack and when you said the end of the harbor do u mean by the hotel .... and do u think sexy smelt and Halloween are good for spotties????
alright heres my story with big hammer swimbaits i have used them at the oceanside harbor but i have never caught a bass with the swimbaits .... CAn u give me any tips how to use them or best place to fish at ... NIce video
So what if he has rich parents he is doing a ton of fishing because he can. Being jealous is normal. He is having fun with his buddies, I saw them today on a great whaler 3 engines with some big fish, two huge tuna, I am jealous as well. but not in any way hateful. good job guys.
I'm having trouble choosing a boat right now. My Dad has a davis cortez 22 that's getting passed down to me next but that's not gonna be for a while. So for the mean while i want a boat i could maneuver around in a bay good but also big enough i could take it out and fish some inshore kelpbeds. could you help me out with a choice?
you should come fish where i live. I fish in my local bay and fish the same ways u do and slay some lunkers. we dont catch calicos or spotted bass though. we catch grass mainly grass bass and cabezonzs. some times little bat rays.
On the docks by joes crabshack. the people always leave the gate open. What I mean by end of the harbor i mean by the yacht club. No sexy smelt will not work, and Halloween maybe will work but there is so much fishing pressure that you have to match what they eat. the only food source they have are crabs and baby opalie so you want to match the color of thier prey as best as you can. I like to use toast because it could imitate a crab or a baby opalie. Hope this helps
Hey Evan, I'm looking for a good all around swimbait rod for calico and sand bass, but also to work as a light (15-20 lb) bait rod other fish like smaller yellowtail that hung around this summer. Which is the best teramar rod for this? I was thinking the TMC-x76mh....
@mendoncasf 3 inch big hammers and color depends on how the day looks if its a bright morning you would have to go with more baitfish like colors like sexy smelt, bay smelt, sardine, pacific chovy and if its a little foggy ordark you might want to try silver phantom, bleeding olive herring, halloween, and also a deep purple chovy. as for heads you might want to use a 3/8 oz reebs weedless head and try to match the color of swimbait with the head as much as possible it makes a better appearance
Sick! Way to stick it to em' looks like you guys are good friends! and having a blast. Stop by and make an appearance and put your site in your sig file. Love to help you out as well. Socalsurfrats forum open!
65 lb braid on that big of a reel for 3-8lb fish...... doesn't sound like fun or much of a sport.... and i'm sure if you went with lighter line and leaders you would catch more fish. I fish for 20-40lb albacore tuna with that same line set up....
How old are you guys? I bust my ass in school and at work and I come home to watch kids noticeably younger than me catch monster bass after monster bass on their own boat with expensive gear, wearing expensive shirts, and filming with expensive cameras. Are you guys actually sponsored to film these episodes? Or are you just the beneficiaries of rich parents? Excuse me if I sound kinda frustrated, just jealous. You guys are really lucky.

If you use 20 lb test for calicos fishing in cover like you will break off every time
65 lb braid on that big of a reel for 3-8lb fish...... doesn't sound like fun or much of a sport.... and i'm sure if you went with lighter line and leaders you would catch more fish.
