The most funny thing about this guy is his language and way of speaking. I don't know how much of it actually got conveyed by the subtitles. If you just read the subtitles the jokes fall flat.
He should start doing it in English like Kenny🤔 but yeah Apne language me alag hi punch milta hai 😂

When the subtitles said "black" the actual connotation was "dark" ... that's why it was funny to Indian people ...(as it's a running joke that they seem to be obsessed with fair skin)... the person who made the subs needs to be more careful.
Yeah black had a totally different meaning in west. It should have been "dark" in the subtitles.

Perfect example of "lost in translation". Abhishek is a great comedian but his stand ups are best served in hindi. I guess it's the way he sounds and delivers them..on point!
Racism isn't considered as discrimination in India. We do it often and no one(friends/family) takes it offensive.
True... Even my parents used to call me “Kaala Kaluta" 😂 (Even tho i'm fair skinned) like when ever i had tan or something... They called me that... But in India we don't take that offensively... We will just laugh if our friends, parents or anyone says that to us... Or We will just giggle and try to justify that no it is because of tan ir something... 😂 But still that's not a bad thing here tho...

To really enjoy this comedy sketch knowing Hindi is very important bcz the way he speaks and conveys his most humour lies in his delivery likes jokes are good yes but the best part of this sketch acc to me is the delivery and it is very difficult to appreaciye that delivery if u don't know Hindi so what I am saying is jaby u might have laughed x10 if u did knew Hindi 😂😂

Great Reactions you guys... Especially the dark skin colour part, i am sure you guys did not expected that to be so casual. But that's what India is , we discriminate but take it so lightly that we laugh about it. In my family there are both type of skin tones (dark and fair), we all make fun of each other all the time Eg: when ever i (fair skinned) shave my beard , my cousin(dark skinned) always comes to me laughing saying that i look like white Garlic.... we both laugh on it.

This reaction makes me realise that Hindi speaking audience enjoys this 10x times as compared to non speakers because his jokes are lifted to another level by the way he delivers it.
Even if one would understand all the jokes, delivering them the way he does is super tricky and that is what makes him super popular and slick stand ups.

Yup but it is true. It's a small problem which you can deal with only after you have dealt with other but ones.
Moreover in our society prior learn to hit back. Take fat guys. Most of them are too good in making joke out of other people. You call them fat then get wrecked.
It's s small problem but not everybody is psychologically that strong, some kids become lonely bcoz of these things which may impact them psychologically in the long-run.

Talking about respecting elders , basically your parents , there is one really perfect dialogue for this from KOTA FACTORY - "Apne maa baap ke decisions galat ho sakte hai par unki niyat nahi." which basically translates to " The decisions that our mom and dad take for us could be wrong , but their intentions are never wrong."

In India skin colour discrimination is not really a big deal. Because we really don't care about anyones skin colour. We like each other. Well i can't talk about everyone individually but most of the people thinks that way.😁😁
The last bit had nothing to do with race🙏 The usage of term "black" should have been modified to "dark" as it was used in context to the Indian skin colour spectrum, we apparently vary from very fair to very "dark" or "black".

Hey Jaby, I've been watching your videos non stop since yesterday it came in my recommendations. I loved your reactions to Kenny, cause Kenny's delivery is in English so it's easy to gather international audience. He's amazing. But what makes Abhishek funny is his accent and his delivery in hindi. You need to understand hindi to understand the total essence, cause the subtitles just make the jokes flat. Like masoode is funnier than gums, the words are very important for it to be funny 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Being dark in India is not a big issue.... Actually parents used to name their kids or friends call the people by the nicknames like - kalu(black) , bhura(brown)chotu(younger child(.....
