Please do let me know your opinions on Patreon/Livestreams in the comments below. I have been avoiding Patreon for a while now as I didn't want to "sell out" or ebeg, but I've had tough luck finding full time work and several people over the past few months have expressed interest in donating to something like that, so maybe I'll give it a shot. I dunno, like I said, tell me your opinions.
Magold is an interesting computer worm from 2003 that messes with the user in a variety of ways, including changing their window color to red, printing funny documents on the printer, opening the CD-ROM tray, and generally making computer use difficult.
Although I didn't mention it in the video, the author was caught and sentenced to two months probation in Hungarian court. - บันเทิง

Launch a Patreon. You deserve the money from it.
Most of the bigger channels are swinging towards Patreon anyway, there's no guilt in trying to keep your income when TH-cam doesn't pay the bills, due to some new technicality that fucks your channel. Consider that PBS works the same way, taking donations from thousands of different donors and charitable trusts, just to keep the programs up that we all know and enjoy. TH-cam should take a look at this being a viable model, since they don't directly employ the content creators that make them their money.

I think maybe the worm searched for any and all devices connected to his local network and found the printer that way.

@@liamdelaportilla9042 Easily for USB printers - just pass it through. It should also be possible to restrict a virtual machine's network access to only the IP address of a network printer.

Dan, if your optical drive is not opening, there is a small hole in the front part, usually near the button or the moving part, try poking that as it opens. You usually need something that is hard, long and small enough to press a little button deep down that hole. But it actually works like magic.

Holy shit my uncle mentioned this worm all the way back in 2004. Its really weird to see it 16 years later. Although my uncle never said it was supposed to be a porn screen saver. Damn :D
antivirus were so badass in these times i remember a pc magazine which main article was an antivirus related one having three cops (with antivirus logos) reducing and cuffing two viruses (of course dressed in stereotypical thief fashion) in the cover.

The funny thing is that "magold" is (I assume) intended as a short for Maya Gold but it is also a hungarian word for "study!". When I saw the title I was like "How funny it would be if this turned out to be a Hungarian worm" but I was pretty sure it was just a coincidence.

Maybe virus suggestions as a perk, or a really small perk could be the desktop background set for 1 video as a request. maybe an end card showing the names of all the patreon supporters could be something as well.

True story: We used to have an old HP laserjet printer, that was built from parts from several other printers. It was the FrankenPrinter, and it was cursed. Anyway, I was trying to get it to work with my MacBook, which of course did not come with drivers fro a stone age Laserjet, so I had to install bootleg drivers and it was a huge mess. While I was trying to get it to work at like 2 am because I needed to print a paper, FrankenPrinter decided to print about 4-5 pages of gibberish before printing a whole row of smiley faces. I think it was taunting me.

1) Depending on how fair perks are - exclusive videos are bad! Don't do that.
2) Video mentions are a good idea, perhaps slightly early video releases?
Please, don't ever do exclusive videos. Ever. It's like EA's mostly-DLC model for their games. Makes it feel like you're going for exclusively money. Feels wrong for a game, let alone a youtube channel.
I would never do exclusive videos, so no worries there. my aim is to share my content with everyone regardless of whether or not they also provide monetary support.

I stumbled across your channel randomly one day and I was just hooked. Through you I also discovered rougeamp who I just drove through all his videos..... because of you two I also discovered fake tech support scams and I've just been so hooked on all of this for months. Malware and Rouge Anti-Viruses have just been an odd obsession for me now... I just... found myself stupid interested in it. If a pateron would lead to more videos being uploaded then please make one. Twitch Creative streams sound amazing too. Please, keep doing what you do.

Patreon's fine, dude. As far as I'm concerned, if you have less things to worry about IRL, you have more incentive to release more videos, which in turn, means more Patreon revenue. Which, in turn, means more videos!

Is there any particular reason you now use Virtual PC 2007 instead of more recent or popular VM software?
Streams would be great! TH-cam seems easiest to access, but Twitch would also work I think.

Nothing wrong with a Patreon as long as it's just bonus stuff (like behind the scenes or early access, voting for content and stuff like that) and your non-patreon viewers don't miss out on any actual videos 👍

Patreon is fine, you're doing a solid job showcasing these viruses, so letting people have the option to give something back is perfectly fine!
However, as many of the other comments are saying, don't do exclusive videos - it's the most effective way to split apart the viewerbase into those who pay and those who do not
I wouldn't hate you at all if you launched a patreon. Patreon donators could see your videos earlier than other users, I think. That's how LGR does it. Also, if you're gonna stream, please add full streams here to your channel. I will most likely miss all of them because timezones but I wanna watch so if I could catch them afterwards from here that would be great! No need to even edit them, I personally don't mind watching 3 hour long videos while I'm doing school stuff or shit like that.

If I try this on a virtual machine, should the worm also affect my PC, because I saw that you opened firefox from your PC and the color looked red, atleast, that's what I saw and thought.

Definitely live stream, it'd be awesome. TH-cam or Twitch works, but I'd recommend Hitbox over both. It has almost no latency and the quality/servers are great. You could always export the streams from there.
