I love most walkie-talkies, I like other photographer’s work more than his…. But I always come back to him, something about him, his way of work and work keeps me coming back. He inspires me and he’s so calm and fun and talented. Great video Paulie.
I loved being able to see some of the small confrontations. As someone who is really new to street photography and is trying to get over the hump of getting a little more comfortable taking photos of people because of possible confrontation, this was really helpful and reassuring. The way he handles it is great and is a great lesson for me to know how to explain what I'm doing. Just followed Camilo on Instagram. Great shots
All hail to the secret poster. 7:30am, my kind of mojo. Great guy. Great personality. I appreciate how he handles some situations. Mature. Basically. More photog like that, please. Your best walkie talkie to date.
Hey! Just discovered your channel today with this walkie talkie series, binging the content. Super awesome stuff, would love to see some women photographers featured on the series too! I'm really enjoying the vibe of the interviews you have and im discovering cool photographers with it.
dig deep into Paulie archive, there are sum wimmin photogs there, and they are def werth yer time to watch. aren't we all out here wit our own personal views after all?
So I moved away from NYC a few months ago. Your videos help me stay connected to the city and feed my soul while I’m away. Helps that your guests are always so interesting and insightful. Thanks for making these PB
This is the best walkie talkie vid I've seen. It had everything. The best lighting. Opportunity to fill your boots. Sim card would have been full in the first hour. Great vid . Loved it.
Saludos Camilo from all the Salvies! every new walkie talkie is my favorite man seriously. Paulie, I hope you're actively pitching these videos to hulu or netflix
Great episode Paulie! Camilo's work is dope and his medium format choice is unique! I guess it's like future proofing your work but damn that's gonna get expensive lol.
that was my thinking Camilo! I luv all ya out there, humanity inna street jus tryna git by, live life wit value n respect, strivin' fer a meaningful consciousness. simple effective pure format here via Paulie, jus' follow a photographer around, let em spill knowledge, absorb the vibe yaw!
Great episode and like he said it’s about the “music”. And how bout that inspirational find?! That’s that street magic IYKYK. Loved the Mickey D’s shot. 🔥🔥🔥
I love these so much Paulie -- this might be one of my favorites. Can you tell us some of your favorite winter gear for street photogs? I need some good gloves man!
I've had the same thought about every creative project, working 'for' insta is so bogus haha. I always want to maximize staying out and catching cool outfits.
Really like your videos. As a keen photographer but certainly not brave enough for street photography its super interesting to see how we all share a similar vision and ideals. Keep up the good work
Just back from Japan and I’ve been binging your walk-in talkie series and it gave me the courage to start doing up close street portraits here, so thanks man 😂. Planning to make my first zine now as well. Shout out from the DMV too!!
Awsome video and especially awsome series. You’ve got me bingewatching all of you walkie-talkies. Keep doing these cause these are very underrated and i’m sure you’ll blow up with this series. Keep it up!
I am pretty sure Lars Tunbjörk used a Plaubel Makina 67 for the office series. His flash was a large contraption-possibly homemade-powered by an external battery pack. That said, I think I have also seen him taking pictures at the fashion shows in Paris with a Mamiya 7II and a large ring flash (a la Martin Parr).
I give up. I have tried to link to the flicker album I have of Lars' setup, but ... no ... TH-cam removes anything even close to resembling a link. Seriously ... F these companies destroying everything that was good about the web.
Props to him for sticking with the Mamiya7. Expensive to shoot 10 frames a roll. It is also a more objective aspect ratio and doesn’t suit a lot of material on the street. But he makes it work.
Good stuff. And smart to use the flash with a MF mf camera allowing for a F8 or more and having more control over the zone range where his subjects are in focus.
Most underrated streetphotographer in NYC, his work is pure gold!
Is it? I don't get it. They all look like snapshots.
The fact that they found a poster in the trash with actual inspiration written on it to make stuff is incredible, great video
Love this guys energy especially how he was able to quickly turn people on his side. Keep it up!
Love how he explained what he was doing and the guy had a complete turnaround. Handled like a champ
The timing of the food truck portrait was amazing
"Un saludo pa' mi gente latina" dude killed it right there. Great episode Paulie!

14:20 "Because sometimes, being your own worst critic is not enough." 10/10 for that find.
I love this series so much. Never ceases to bring me inspiration and remind me why we do what we do. Thank you Paulie and Camilo!!!!
✨✨✨ nice episode! Viva 🇨🇱

Love this series.
Beautiful episode one of my favorites
I think the nervousness is good because it means it's still fresh, and working through that resistance shows in the art.
this is such an excellent series. I really enjoy every episode. :-)
What a cool guy and great photographer. Keep ‘em coming!

best ep ever, insane light , would have loved to have been there!!
I've had the same thought about every creative project, working 'for' insta is so bogus haha. I always want to maximize staying out and catching cool outfits.
Really enjoying these, great work!
Brilliant work as usual!
Te pasaste Camilo, no conocía tu trabajo... Excelente en todo sentido.
This got me back outside shooting . Thanks bro , sincerely .
Homie work dope AF!
although I prefer natural light and rarely appreciate the flash, this is one of those occasions. Good work
Really like your videos. As a keen photographer but certainly not brave enough for street photography its super interesting to see how we all share a similar vision and ideals. Keep up the good work
Amazing episode Paulie! The motivational quote had me rolling lmaooo
loved it!

I love so much this "Walkie Talkie" format ! Makes me want to go there to street photo myself ;)
Camilo is very good tho :)
Love his attitude.
Use to shoot Fuji 400H for weddings back in the early 2000s. Great stuff.
Beautiful
most well lit walkie talkie
This dude is fuckin awesome haha. Really great, organic video. Not a dull moment.
Definitely stealing that two bags one strap situation.
Awsome video and especially awsome series. You’ve got me bingewatching all of you walkie-talkies. Keep doing these cause these are very underrated and i’m sure you’ll blow up with this series. Keep it up!
More bleeps per minute than a Scorsese movie. 😂
I have to find my love for street photography again
good video, thank you
guys photos are nuts
A king. Wish it was 2-3 hrs longer.

That said, I think I have also seen him taking pictures at the fashion shows in Paris with a Mamiya 7II and a large ring flash (a la Martin Parr).
Also, of course, Camilo's pictures are great and this is an excellent episode of the Walkie Talkie. If anything, I wished it was longer.
I give up. I have tried to link to the flicker album I have of Lars' setup, but ... no ... TH-cam removes anything even close to resembling a link. Seriously ... F these companies destroying everything that was good about the web.
Thanks Erik, Camilo here. I’d love to get that link. Can you DM me on Instagram?
Props to him for sticking with the Mamiya7. Expensive to shoot 10 frames a roll. It is also a more objective aspect ratio and doesn’t suit a lot of material on the street. But he makes it work.
Great guy. Great video. Does anyone know what lens Camilo is using on his Mamiya 7ii? Looks like a 50mm or 65mm? Cheers
Damn ! respect !
1:22 is just… wow
I appreciate the missing of a great photo at 3:36 makes me feel better about the ones I miss.
Thanks for inspiration!)
This has inspired me to get out of bed
Good stuff. And smart to use the flash with a MF mf camera allowing for a F8 or more and having more control over the zone range where his subjects are in focus.
You two found some real "Trent Parke" esq light there! :-)
Saludos a todos los fotógrafos latinos!
Man these videos are fucking amazing, honestly bro add a Patreon already cause I'm paying for this kind of stuff
“I really don’t care” 2:36. That’s how I feel too.
Sometimes you gotta run for it
crazyyy
Some photographers shoot people
And here's Camilo flashing people.
I wish I could see that photo of the man with the wig posing for him 😮💨
hahah im currently going through that economical phase where I am forced to shoot digital.
