Hello Tony, great video my friend and I was taught on the farm that if you get the bottom of the post tight it won't go anywhere. This will help me enormously, thankyou for taking the time. 😆 Happy Gardening, Terry.
Hi! Have you not had any issues with the posts bowing in due to the pull of the wires? We installed a system like this (4x4 posts, metal wire) a few months ago and the top wires keep losing tension, because the posts are bowing in.
Great video well executed Tony, On are allotment your aloud to fix posts in concrete, But using stone ithe way you did is the way to go.....With Regards Mark
Hi, I'm brand new to gardening and have just put a greenhouse up for next year. My aim is to grow tomatoes. Can I ask about the shading. Do you put that on same side you have your tomatoes are opposite side to stop them burning ? or do you have to shade on both sides.
hi great video will you be doing some for the new gardeners I also found a video of growing spuds in buckets will you be doing something like that this year have a good day
Hi Gary. yes we will be covering everything throughout the year, but we have a massive back catalogue on this like you have asked already that you can view now. There is quite a few in this playlist th-cam.com/play/PLREI92DGCWRO4e5HnqoqiQhfiZV4QIRkS.html but would be worth you looking through what else we have. We will be doing more as the year comes through. Tony
These are pressure treated Phillip. They will last for years. when it does finally rot i will just replace it, by that point the trees will have a strong enough structure to support themselves while the work is carried out
Im a beginner in gardening, but with wire I know something; when you twisted it at the first screw eye, you kept one wire straight, but the other you wound around the straight. It will slip! you must twist both wires around each other. Do this by pinching both wires together, then hold them while twisting; it will hold
Really useful video! How far apart are your posts? I'm looking to install a 160cm high trellis, with the posts 3meters apart, but not sure if that's too far apart for support/ sagging etc?
Hi Gary. Yes insect frass is brilliant to use as a fertiliser, but i sold the company a few years ago. You can purchase it now from suppliers under the name of n boost or beetlejuice or charge. so plenty of ways to get it now but its not cheap.

Most people shade the top of the green house, but if the sun comes up on one side for most of the day your better doing that entire side.

Hi,
Would using ground spike and 6ft x 75mm posts also work?
How many posts for a length of 25ft (just under 8m).
Thanks
It would depend on the winds you get, but should do if they are not to strong
Hi Tony. What size eyes did you use? Not certain whether to use M6 or M8. Cheers Gavin.
m8 I am sorry for the late reply, YT didnt tell me about your comment. I just found it
Hi Tony, wont that post rot in the ground in a few years? thanks Phil.

Thos posts are 21 ft apart
@@simplifygardening Thanks! :D
Thanks Tony, this is exactly what I needed. Would you suggest 3 or 4 posts for a 12 meter long bed?
I would put 4 in that size of bed
Cheers Tony
Where did you get the green wire? How thick are they?
they are about 1.5mm thick and it was purchased from Amazon search for trellis plastic-coated wore
