I got worried when I saw the Nulo brand pop out cause that's what I give my cats. From my own research, it's a healthy brand that fits my budget but seeing you give the healthy seal boosted my confidence on my choice! :)
Hi Theresa. Well, I can't give you a professional opinion since I'm not a vet, but after looking at the ingredients for Sheba, the only issue I have with it is the poultry by-product, which are animal scraps. However, people online seem to agree that the Sheba pate seems to be the safer option for diabetic cats because it doesn't have any gravy like the shredded chicken or salmon. So if you and your cat do prefer Sheba, that might be the better option. I also see that people choose Tiki Cat, as it has some "healthier" ingredients than Sheba (no by-products, no guar gum, and no carrageenan). These are just my nonprofessional opinions, but definitely do plenty of online and in-store research. Talk to your vet and talk to pet store employees for the best advice.
@@theoandolaf Thank you for your response!! I tried very hard to give my cat Tiki wet food but he refuses to eat it. Unfortunately, I have to give him insulin twice a day so I have to make certain that he's fed first before giving him the insulin. He enjoys wet food with sauce which is loaded in Carbs. So my search continues. Loved your video.. very informative!! ty
@@theresaficentise531 sheba is pretty good for the price point. I have to go on a serious budget, so I've been reading up on the cheaper options. I'm okay with by-product meal as long as it has a name attached. Like poultry, chicken etc. I am just suspicious of "meat" by-products since technically any random animal could slip in there, even horses....
Fancy feast is my kittens grandpas food he’s on the container :3

Lol sorry for worrying you, but I'm certainly glad you feel a lot better about your decision. I'm sure your kitties are very happy with Nulo! 😺
Great information 👍
I'm curious as your opinion to Sheba cat wet food.. I give it to my diabetic cat because it's low in Carbs
