    Thank you for the kimchi kit and for supporting the live kimchi-making event with Seonkyoung Longest. I was there in the top left. That was a lot of fun. Today will be the second day of the kimchi ferminting. I cannot wait to try it.

    I met this man and he was nice enough to give me a vegan version of his kimchi paste, great product!

    I love Mama O’s super spicy after a long run, electrolytes and plenty of sodium replenishment. Goes great with an egg and a bowl of rice…

    I’ve been wanting to order from Mama O’s coz buying from the store it’s hard to really choose which Kimchi jar will be the perfect one. Now that I’m doing Keto Diet & Kimchi is a suggested part of this diet for good probiotics. However, I have to make sure it’s not high in sugar, nor will it have MSG. You have great prices & I saw that you also have the White Kimchi for the people who don’t like it spicy. My husband was asking me if I ever saw a jar of non spicy Kimchi to get him some, and you’re the 1st one I thought of, so I just recently purchased the 2 jars of white Kimchi. And I will be ordering more & maybe even get your kit. Does your Kimchi paste have sugar added?

      You realize there is no scientific evidence that MSG causes bad health nor is there any evidence that people are allergic to it? All the contention around MSG has been linked back to racism. www.sciencefriday.com/articles/is-msg-bad-for-your-health/ en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Monosodium_glutamate#Controversy MSG is delicious and derived from seaweed. :)

    The size of that bowl needed to brine the cabbage is a no go for me. I have nothing close to that size in my home kitchen and I'm not going to buy them just for kimchi brining. Are there any alternatives?

      Scrub out your sink and either line it with plastic or use it as is.

      You don't need that size of a bowl, dude is showboating. Any bowl is fine as long as it fits your stuff and water goes on top.

    I don't like Cilantro can I leave it out or use something different??

    • @Tammy166
      @Tammy166 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Arlene Of course! Just leave the cilantro out; the kimchi will taste fine.

    After you’re finished making the kimchi do you refrigerate?

    • @CastleBravo62
      @CastleBravo62 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, once its fermented to your liking, put the solid lid on and stick in the fridge. Keeps as long as you like the taste.

    How much salt is in the bag? I don't need to buy bags of salt from you each time I use a jar of sauce.

      I thought about that and measured it before I used it and it was a little over 1/2 cup (measured in a liquid measuring cup) Now that I read the directions in the box, that says about 3/4 to 1 cup sea salt. 🤦🏻‍♀️ It says it online on their page too. Pays to read the directions!🤭)
      I’m just gonna use my own sea salt too! I don’t think it matters exactly so long as cabbage softens. I think 1/2 cup to 1 gallon of water is fine. 👍🏻
