  • Editor's note: Some of the voices you hear in this video may be unsettling. The alleged gunman in the Seattle Pacific University shooting last week heard the voice of one of the Columbine killers inside his head, according to court records. Have you ever wondered what it would be like to hear voices in your head?CNN's Anderson Cooper used a simulator to experience what it's like to have schizophrenia. I thought I had an idea of what an individuals with Schizophrenia, I obviously did not have a clue. Hearing the voices, listening to the conversation Anderson was having with the person in the room, and watching to see if he could do the exercises he was trying to complete, gave me a major headache. My heart goes out to anyone having to live that way, sending up prayers for more treatment for all.

That’s almost like how it is for me, but instead of talking over me, the voices talk to me and respond logically. Sometimes they say random things in sentences that cut out at times, but it’s very startling. I feel like I have to pay attention to them, so my surroundings become less in focus.

@@Welsh_Aussie It’s not always the same volume. Sometimes it’s like a faint whisper. And sometimes it’s loud. It can trick me as if I heard someone from another room in the house. I was doing something nice for my sister once and I jolted when someone yelled in my ear, “STOP IT!” She was afraid of the monsters, so I was trying to make her feel better by putting a protection barrier around her bed. That voice startled me because it was as if the monster didn’t like what I was doing. I kept doing it just in case it was real. Sometimes I’m not so sure if it’s just a hallucination. My sister is older than me, and we were grown ass adults at the time. She hears voices as well. We both see things. Sometimes we see and hear the same things. It’s wild. My psychiatrist said that you can’t have shared hallucinations with schizophrenia. She suggested something paranormal in those cases. So, I’m left wondering about the whole thing. I’m confused a lot. It doesn’t feel like I have headphones on. It just sounds like someone is in the house. The sounds I hear have a location. I investigate, and nothing is there. If someone is with me in the house, I will ask them if they were talking or had the tv on. The answer is usually no. But when the voice is right next to me or in front of me or whispering in one of my ears, it’s very creepy. But sometimes I just want to talk to them. They don’t always continue the conversation, but sometimes they do or it’s broken as if there’s a loss of connection in some parts of the sentence. And sometimes it’s like I can hear them, but they aren’t responding to me as if they can’t hear me. Sometimes it feels like I’m listening in on something I wasn’t supposed to hear.

Even though it may come from internally the perception is real to the person experiencing it hence why it’s called an hallucination. (Ephesians 6:12 For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly realms.) Schizophrenia are spiritual demons from the demonic realm, the unseen world. They tap into human souls and torment them.
    Acts 1:8
"You will receive power," He said, "when the Holy Spirit comes on
you; and you will be My witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and
Samaria, and to the ends of the earth." By these words, Jesus was suggesting, "Though you have
been with Me for 3 years and more, it is not enough that you have heard
Me teach the multitudes, and have seen Me heal the sick and even raise
the dead. You need to be empowered with the Holy Spirit in order to be
effective and fruitful as My witnesses throughout the world."Humans need the Holy Spirit of Jesus Christ to destroy Schizophrenia.

You forget that the Bible also acknowledges the fact that spirits are not always the cause, and it is just the malfunctioning of our imperfect bodies or God’s intended design. It clearly says that God is the one who made the deaf, the physically disabled, the lame (mentally/neurologically atypical), and the blind. That’s why it’s not right to automatically claim it’s spirits all the time. I say this as a believer who has autism, ADHD, and OCD.

2:17 --- 2:58 So Schizophrenia is basically like, being Married, except you can't see your mean Possessive Wife, can only hear her nasty Voice!!! So it's basically a great Gift, because all you have to do is take some Anti-Psychotic anxiety Medication and not only you don't see the wife but bonus you can't hear her either! Schizophrenia is Awesome!
