Jack in Strange Fake is a guy. As Jack was never caught they can manifest as different people and things. The Beserker Jack from Strange Fake is the manifestation of Jack's madness and fear. This one is something else😉
39:25 No, Artoria is always stronger, it's just you always see her nerfed version. In both zero and stay night she doesn't have Avalon on her, in Zero she can only use one hand for half of the show and she always at odds with her master which, for someone like her I think she'd be reluctant to take mana from Kiritsugu. In Stay Night Shirou is such a newbie mage he can't even heal saber
You say "can't even heal Saber" but being able to heal others is a no small feat.Аlso if she didn't took any mana from Kiritsugu i doubt she would be this confident fighting Diarmuid after firing off Excalibur.Even with Rin as her master she can only use Excalibur twice in a row and if she decides to fire it off a third time she may even dissapear.Let's be honest the reason why some servant's look's "stronger" in this anime is because of animation approach and Ufotable stuff wasn't very rich back then...
9:51 this is not a philosophy of Tohsaka's but the philosiphy of most if not almost all mage families.Remember:the magic crest can only be passed down to one child and second one exist's only as an emergency measure if something happend's to the first kid.Don't know when movies come out but in the Witch of the holy night is gonna show us one more time why it's best to have only one successor....it's also gonna have a character that you know from Kara no Kyoukai 🦾🤓🚬
Since its not spoilers, when you were wondering what the design on Jeanne's back was. Those are command spells. The Ruler class is an overseer and gets 2 command spells per servant participating in the current grail war. So shes got 24 command spells on her back essentially. Rulers are typically only summoned when the grail detects someone not playing by the rules. The grail sends a Ruler to ensure the proper completion of the war.
@srlopez875 idk how far he is into the series yet and I don't want to spoil anything for him. If you've seen all of Apocrypha, think of who the final "bad guy" was. They didn't quite follow the "rules" in my opinion.
36:51 the red faction, the one with Mordred is even more broken that the black faction. There’s two servants specifically on the red faction that could solo the entire war if they had too. 39:59 That’s one of them. Karna is one of the two servants that could solo both sides excluding his only equal in the entire war. He wouldn’t be able to win in a full on fight against everyone at once but he could certainly take on multiple at once and win. The only other servant in the entire war, Karna’s equal is Achilles.
if i'm remember correctly the most stacked holy grail war would the waxing moon ritual from Fate/Samurai Remmant, 7 standard Servants, 10 rouge Servants (masterless Servant), 2 ruler and 2 servant that got chain summon, the reason for this is the ritual is a hack job version of the Holy grail war, recreated using knowledge left by Abe no Seimei clairvoyance.
@@FrenchDinosaur Yeah Lancer Jean is great, funnily she is more Ruler Jeane than Avenger Jeane, while i don't like her playstyle(too slow for me) her look is top notch, my favorite Servant from SR is Ushi(with the armor) super fun to play as and continuing the tradition of the Genji using parts of Greek to builf their super armor.
"A Caster who makes golems. They didn't say his name did they?" Boy, you deaf and blind as hell.😂😂😂 Why my boy Avicebron always getting overlooked? The disrespect go crazy.😂
TO BE FAIR, I HAD NO IDEA "AVICEBRON" WAS AN ACTUAL NAME!!! 😂🤣 When I first heard them say "Avicebron, the Great Golem Master", I thought they were saying the name of his Noble Phantasm. Like some sort of machine or magic called "Avicebron" that can create golems. If his name was "Phil" or "Carl" I GUARANTEE YOU there would've been no confusion there 🤣🤣
This is what I like about Mordred, she literally fights like Kratos. She got a handy sword but when it's gone, she had no problem going physical, if she could she might even pick up a tree to use to smack it to her enemies.
2:02 For reference, Crow. Apocrypha World & timeline setting is different from all of different FZ, FSN, FGO, Extra, etc parallel worlds (with their histories). So many different events in history happaning here.
Fun fact Fate/Apocrypha stated development as an MMO RPG game before the in late 2011 development as a game was suspended and they shifted to make it Light Novel series instead. Said LN did run from December 2012 to December 2014 (so it concluded half a year before FGO, the actual Fate online service game, started. I think traces of that can still be found in the story, especially when it come to the male MC. For me this is 6 or 7th time I am watching the Fate/Apocrypha Anime. I also read the VN and read parts of the Manga adaptation.
Think of Karna as India's Gilgamesh/Heracles. Basically, he's the top dog Servant for his home region. Closer to Gil technically, cuz him going all out will outright kill most Masters from the sheer amount of mana he'd drain them of.
Most Holy Grail Wars aren't just seven vs seven, in fgo's case, it's different. The number of Servants depends on how urgent the situation is. Fgo's arc 2 Comos in the Lostbelt explains it better.
Being that in reality nothing is known about Jack the Ripper in Fate it, depending on the class, is evoked with different concepts. For example in strange fake he is summoned as a berserker and continues to change shape because it is based on the fact that no one knows his true form while in apocrypha being an assassin he has a shape that is based on an different idea that you will see later. This is also shown by the fact that in strange fake jack's desire is to find out who he is since every time he is summoned he can change his shape and powers depending on the different interpretation of his legend's
A couple of short tips that might be of interest. no spoilers. Astolfo's backstory is really not touched on this series but the tldr is that he is a paladin on service of Charlemagne. now Charlie is a real historical figure but since he lived so far in the past(8th century) there are a lot of legends behind him and his knights many of which came from absorbing other legends like the Round Table knights. Among the adventures that Astolfo had him going insane then going to the moon and recovering his sanity and then losing him again when he came back. the animal he rides(wont say what for spoiler reasons) doesn't belong to them but rather to another of the paladins Bradamante, he just borrow him. Apocrypha refers to an ex-holy text or rather, something that was consider part of a holy text in the past and then removed from such, like the dead sea scrolls for example. This doesn't really mean anything for the story and the word Apocrypha is not mentioned on the anime. Jean D'arc was 17 years old when here legend began and was executed at 19. Posthumously she was also considered a witch for most of her legend after her death until she was canonized as a saint in 1920. Frankenstein is technically not genderbend on Fate, the story is the same as Mary Shelly's Frankenstein, the only difference being that Dr Frankenstein created Eve before Adam, her story just follows exactly the same path from beginning to end with her as the monster instead of him. Mordred was originally going to be male and you can find the early designs online, he was going to crossdress as female again for the big respect he had for OG Saber and the obsession of being Arthur's heir however the design team thought that having 2 crossdressing characters in the cast was too many and that was it. The Fate Apocrypha project was originally going to be of all of things an MMO, however it never moved forward as such, the main writer(not Nasu) used what was done there and turn it into a book, the book was then made into this anime, as such there are many things that were cut from the animation, like Jack's backstory(which I will mention when you get there), the videogame project however did got greenlight as FGO with a different concept and story. Semiramis didn't built the *spoiler for her np* as she is attributed later in the story, this was not an error by the writer as a new archeological discovery made in 2016 attributed the construction to a different person. FGO does acknowledge that discovery but its way to late to change it.
There are some people who consider Apocrypha one of the weaker shows (because they're all so good it's hard to compete with the others), personally... this show is just hella FUN for me and I love it
Fun fact, this Grail War is actually only the 2nd largest in the series. Fate/Extra is a PSP JRPG game that depicts the events of ANOTHER separate timeline from the Stay Night and Apocrypha timelines. In this timeline, the Holy Grail War that takes blace can best be summed up as "VR Death Match Tournament on the Moon." There's 999 Master candidates at the start, and by the end of the prelims, there's 128 Masters in total. From there, that number drops by half every round cuz, like I said, the Grail War is structured like a giant tournament in that game. The MC can pick between 3 Servants. The Saber Class "Nero Claudius Caesar", The Caster Class "Tamamo-no-Mae", and the Archer Class "Nameless" which is the Extra-Timeline's name for EMIYA and how they got around spoiling his identity for anyone not already in the know. If you've ever seen a version of FSN Archer with long hair, it's the Extra-Timeline's EMIYA, although he doesn't get that hairstyle until the sequels. Speaking of Sequels, Fate Extra CCC gives you the option to pick Gilgamesh as a Servant as well, and his relationship with the MC of that game is probably the nicest he's ever been outside of CasterGil. As for more sequels(Yes the Extra timeline has more sequel content than any other timeline in the franchise), there's some dynasty warriors like games(Fate Extella and it's sequels), and the anime "Fate/Extra Encore" is also a sequel to the Extra Timeline. Yes, the relatively obscure PSP game is the one with not only multiple sequel games, but also a sequel anime... For SOME reason.😂 Also, Fate Extra is supposed to be getting a remake released sometime this decade, so losts of fans are looking forward to that.
39:34 in her dreams maybe gawain stated mordred was weaker then him stating if he wasn’t focus on another battle that being lucius Tiberius vs artoria pendragon he would have won in their battle in life Mind you gawain at this point didn’t have his x3 buffed body sun buff was mortally wounded and still healing and was already defeated by lucius earlier in the fight and was tired of over 3 hours of battle and he states mordred is still weaker and mordred didn’t even argue knowing it was true as if she did gawain would fight her then and there Mordred in camalot was actually second to her strongest state where she could spam clarent blood arthur but was physically nerf but when she fought sanzang she was at her peak being able to spam clarent without hurting herself mind you this is only possible because of her gift from lion king called rampage without it she can’t spam her NP Her strongest self is the one ritsuka has which is a max saint graph version with the ability to spam mana burst and possibly clarent to like in rampage just because of her stronger saint graph But even still she is way weaker then artoria and even gawain without a sun buff could beat her at this state
I don't remember if anime explains it, but despite sounding like a name of a fanfic character, Kotomine Shirou isn't really related to either Kotomine or Shirou. His name just happened to be the same and he's Kotomine cos he was adopted by Kotomine family for plot reasons.
Basically this Holy Grail war replaces the original Fate/Stay Night one in this alternate timeline. For Artoria and Mordred, yes they where always women with history being incorrect. Mordred is weaker than Artoria overall
