Without doubt, Charge 4 sounds better than Flare+. But, for me, i would still go for Flare+, i don't mono speaker.
But, I already got two motion+, i don't need any other speakers.

I'm a big JBL fan and had many speakers. My Charge 3 went bad and need a new one. Bluetooth 5.0 is mandatory for me and the Charge 4 is Bt 4.0, the Charge 5 is a beast but a $180 beast so thats a no go. Besides the Flare+ has a nice plus with the vertical shape and led lights.

I bought the charge 4 thinking it was going to be awesome ☹ 129.99 for that crap and then I bought the anker soundcore rave neo for 99.00 and it is LOUD (50w) with plenty bass , clean mids and highs with 18 hours of playtime. It actually drowned out the charge 4 with no problem. Then for the same price I bought the anker soundcore rave 80 w and DAMN that speaker is louder than the JBL xtreme 3 . Let's just say I'll never buy jbl again. Especially since they removed the microphone for phone calls and removed one of the speakers from the charge 4 . They're ruining the brand everytime they so called make improvements...

Yup! Fire video especially for the sound quality of both. You get to hear the quality of sound by hearing different genres of music, not just generic tinnie music that sounds horrible to start with. Great review mate.

Anker Soundcore Flare has a serious sound delay problem. Even if you pair this with another speaker through aux cable, the speaker sounds like an echo.

I thought the JBL Charge 4 clearly sounded better here, but perhaps there is a partial explanation for that? I think you said both of these speakers were set at maximum volume, and I think I remember a reviewer of the Soundcore Flare+ writing that at about 70% volume the speaker's output begins to distort, and it only getting worse as the volume goes higher.
So perhaps with both speakers compared at 70% volume, the Flare+ would do better?
As far as the Charge 4 being mono, I don't consider that a big deal. Perhaps even a plus (in sound quality) if you plan on getting a second speaker and have them play in wireless stereo pairing?
suggest you to got for soundcore motion+ Better choice over JBL charge 4 for sure at any day

Flip is way way better in terms of mids and highs and well rounded sound. If you are bass head then definitely soundcore is better but for me i love well rounded sound.

Charge 4 doesn't have tweeters or even 2 drivers. It have one full range driver and two bass radiators. No way I buy something like this. The Flare+ isn't that great either, I never managed to set a custom EQ on it because of an annoying bug (if I go to custom in the soundcore app, the Flare+ play a loud irritating sound for no reason and I just can't set a custom EQ), I'm left with stock presets that all sound bad. I have a Motion + though and it's the best speaker ever at that size and price, with a custom EQ it sounds phenomenal.
Motion+ is great option out of both of these no doubt
Either one has its pros and cons, the choice is yours.

@@nareshkeswani80 well excuse me I think I should think things through before saying any brand is rubbish here, only for me the charge has better treble and bass outdoors than the anker, the anker is omnidirectional so much fidelity is lost in audio in the exterior but that is what I ask, all people have different tastes and of course what is good for me does not mean that for others it is good, there will be people who like anker instead of jbl, that is already a choice, have a nice day and excuse me for the comment
