Isn't UE5 the best? While it's not a renderer but you can use it as one. There's also Chaos Vantage which says it offers 100% Ray-Tracing in real-time, requires RTX GPU tho so probs about the same as D5 except that D5 I guess can't open normal V-Ray or other renderer scenes ( Vantage can render your V-Ray scenes which is great and probs best real-time renderer for VRay users ).
@@SanOcelotl I don't even consider UE5. Because it requires much more knowledge and time to conquer it. But then I agree that the results are the best.
Great review Aga! For some time now I have really wanted to hear your opinion about D5 Render, as it has become my main software for all things 3d related. While a new GFX with 24 GB of ram will give you the best/largest toolset for working with realtime renderings, a sensible option would be an Nvidia 3060 with 12 GB of ram, as it still has loads of VRAM for a really great prize and decent performace. After a decade with Vray, we have parted ways, as I cant go back to that very slow workflow, compared to realtime renders. The quality is better in Vray or Coronoa, but the speed of D5R, makes me reach so many more iterations of my work, so it more than makes up for the difference. I can't remember if you touched upon it, but D5R has actual render passes like Vray/Coronoa, so that you can use material id, and many other passes for Post afterwards. No other realtime engine supports this, as far as I know...... I'm very happy with D5 Render, but I also want to give Unreal 5 a serious go in the near future.
I really want to switch from Lumion to D5. I love that scene express is available for free too! Is there a way to save the effects list from a scene and apply them to a new file? Lumion has this option and it saves a lot of time, wondering if there is something similar for D5. Great video by the way, very helpful!
Hi! Do you know how to configure the units on D5? I'm used to work on cm, and I synced the model into D5 but when I use a material of the library.. the UV are like. .001 .. I dont know which units are D5 using or which units are the correcto to use. Thanks!
@@ArchVizArtist Thanks for the reply! One more question, is it possible to export a standalone version so you could share it with a client? Could someone then run the project in realtime without having installed the software?
Cool but the problem with most real time stuff like D5, Vantage and others is that it gets this gamey sims like feeling and looses alot of the artists style. Everything looks "the same". I still think it has a place depending on the project and where in the process you are but like others have said below, I'll stick with Vray for now.
Unreal by far IF YOU MASTER IT otherwise use D5 or Twimotion by the way you can use Twinmotion and export to unreal with all material an vegatation i think

Probs good for archviz beginners who focus more on architecture and it's design and other technical aspects. If your job for most part is set dressing and rendering then there's better options e.g. Chaos Vantage, D5 Render, UE5 and even iFX Clarisse ( slow rendering ) for crazy stuff.
thanks for sharing with us this great tool. this is very much like unreal but it has a better library and optimised for vis . yet it still takes time to render, if you use unreal lumon+nanite it would actually be real time, and the atmospherics were better than this imo.
D5 render is probably the best real-time render program at the moment. Fast, high-quality, good admin support. I recommend it.
Thanks for sharing your expiriance!

UE5 is miles ahead of any other real time renderer, but D5 is a solid real time "archviz" renderer
@@ExacoMvm I partially agree with your statement. It's somehow faster than and simpler than the ones you mentioned.

The bar is just like the one in Peaky Blinders!!
Will this bring forest pack stuff over?
Great video as usual. I will stick to Vray and.... Vantage when speed is needed, but it's nice to see what D5 can do.
Thank you!

Thank you very much ;) A great video came out. I had a question, is Core or Ryzen better for a computer?
Thank you! I don't know the answer :)
都可以的,主要显卡要用英伟达的
I LOVE Corona Render and 3DsMax, but fuck, D5 looks very good and easy. almost like a game engine.
Very nice render engine! Thanks AVA!
Glad you like it!
Twinmotion 2023.1 one step ahead definitely... Also totaly free not fake like D5 Render :)
Very nice rendering engine, thanks Eva
Thank you too!
The renderer has a lot of features. But it's not as Photorealistic as Corona. 💯
Could someone answer the question of which is better for professional exterior and interior rendering using 3dsmax Vantage or D5 ?
شكراً جزيلاً
Great video and i need d5 render work
which is the best version of 3ds max

In my opinion, just stick to D5 the realism D5 provide is not comparable to lumion, especially the interior. but, if you know corona just master it.

Not yet! I hope to try more software this year and make some comparison videos too ;)

@@simongrigoriadis9296 it’s not possible in d5 render but u can use enscape or Twinmotion for that purpose
This is built on Unreal engine 5 the painting grass tools are exact unique tools only Unreal engine 5 terrain editor has.
Between D5 and Vantage I feel that Vantage will always have a better render, but it seems that for fast results, even D5 is a great option.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts!

Why do you prefer D5 to Unreal engine 5?
This software is really amazing and easy to use but the assets for free version are really very few.
:)
what is see with between 5d render or lumion 12 the best to use ?
is it easy & fast to use d5 with 3ds max corona when i take lots of projects ?
What do you think of unreal engine and should I learn it first (I'm good with Lumion)
We are planning to do some content on Unreal as well.
i always have a doubt, wich is better Unreal or D5?
They are the same thing
@@vasyuey no they are not, even though d5 uses ue engine it uses currently at least the 4 version, and has way few options to costumize

not the other software

Not realistic...
If you have laggy hardware its pointless. Lumion, Enscape, Twinmotion and this d5 are hard to use without expensive graphic cards.
It's definitelly a time to upgrade mine! :D
interesting

Interesting but UE5 is probably better and future especial backing
