Time slipping isn’t a newly acquired skill, it’s literally a feature of the Loom. He was slipping only through different parts of what was already looped by HWR. Once the loom is broken, he’s not able to slip through time any more because that’s not how time works. Also I like the video. But in the video the visual cue you’re pointing out is from the incorrect scene. To be quite honest I don’t think his tempad was powered down at all during the first encounter, from avoiding Sylvie strikes to explaining the war his tempad is lit that whole time, it does go from depowered to powered up again when he takes it off and sets it in the table but other then that it’s not noticeably off like you’re saying it is during that time.
