After viewing several markets in African countries, and walking tours, I now understand racism against Africans. Most cultures around the world would find the filth unacceptable. The people don’t clean up their environments. Why would a tourist spend their money to tour areas where it’s people are too sorry to tidy up? Also it’s incredible that people find the unsafe rectangular (sewer?) openings safe? Why is is so difficult for the men to create safe passage areas for women and children? At least in other countries, they are smart to attract tourist dollars by being clean, reliable, and pretty. The visible problems have nothing to do with colonization, it is the fabric of these cultures.
