After watching this series Ive finally noticed rewatching this scene: (1) everyone rolling their eyes at the Noble Consort as she coughs while they read her pulse. (2) the empress only gave Consort Hai a hand warmer after the Emperor so he would notice and count her virtuous (later she makes Hui kneel in the rain when the Emperor wasnt around). (3) The empress seriously checks to see of they are wearing those darn Basilseed Bracelets
Ironic that A’Rou is upset Consort Hui doesn’t get a longer punishment, saying “three years isn’t excessive” and then, after she betrays Ruyi, Qianlong doesn’t let her serve for as long as Ruyi is in the Cold Palace, which is 3 years. (Unless, I’m remembering the length of time wrong).
OMG have you seen "Magnificent Century" and "Magnificent Century: Kosem", yet?....that will totally mind f*** you up!!! LOL I got through both series and by the end of them I was swearing that Henry VIII wasn't THAT bad. At least he had the heart to off his wives when he tired of them and NEVER killed any of his kids....HIS OWN kids I mean. LOL you should really check those two out.
So what? In a society where loyalty, fidelity and obedience are valued above all, the maid knew what happens to servants who betray their master/mistress. The dumbass maid thought the concubine would protect and reward her. She didn't account for the Emperor seeing through the concubine's petty bullshit. She shouldn't have lied about Hailan stealing. 🤷♀️ Hailan was nearly forced into committing suicide because of that lie. If the Emperor could have punished the concubine more directly, he would have done so.
🤭 no no In this case, the emperor lied to save Noble Consort Ruyi and the First Class Attendant because he knew what actually happened and the Imperial Noble consort did... Ruyi was surprised but quickly agreed with the Emperor. 🙃🐈🌼✨✨

Souxin is just so adorable! No wonder Li Yu and the young doctor had a thing for her. She's the kind of friend you want, unlike mean girl NC Gao.
when Ruyi smailed @8:21 made me so happy 😊😊😊

He kept her close to reveal her frame of Ruyi
Ruyi was right about A'Rou though... she doesn't think things through
God…. I hate the harem system… it just makes me so sick

@@Dramawitsvu17 seriously though!!! MC and MC: Kosem had me all sorts of F’d up!!!!
@@Dramawitsvu17 OMG I thought I was the only random over this way watching those shows lol. The open fratricide had me all the way messed up.
Preach
They all looked so young at he beginning. Great makeup making them look older thru the years.
Great acting
The shivering and whimpering, when all the servants stood in the cold as well. They should all be affected or she should be less affected.
Still makes my eyebrows raise when he said beat her to death. She might be 16 at most.

@@ingasparrow Too bad a'rou didn't learn the lesson
@@LisaFrank39 That's because A'Ruo was more arrogant with a bigger ego and a sense of entitlement.
A warning to the troublemaker. Cruel and despotic but clear.
@@wendymorrison5803 have you seen more of this series? Lol I don't think the warning was heeded very well. Lots of troublemaking to come.
Well that's one way to stop cows from bitchin'.
Какая глупость не сказать сразу про уголь подвергнуть жизнь подруги опасности
