I just redid my bathrooms I put LED bulbs in the light fixtures in the bathrooms I put a new fluorescent light which is an LED light in my kitchen and it made a world of difference I didn't even know LED was that bright and now I can see the microwave numbers on the microwave so I am really impressed with LED lights
This is the best use of smart home technology! I get so excited when I see adaptive applications of off-the-shelf products. Great video and I can’t wait to see more of how you make your home accessible!
Thank you so much for this video and for sharing your home accessibility options. I have found lighting to be incredibly important and make a world of difference in my function and temperament, lol.
I had a recessed LED light installed in my entryway. These look like they will work better than the more traditional fixtures in my kitchen, which always seems too dark. Thanks,Sam, for all your helpful tips!
Thank you friend videos I've seen several of them I just shared one about cooking you appreciate all you do and think I would help others encouraging cooking eggs and safety lighting God bless you keep up the good work
The fluorescent light in my closet went out. I couldn’t find a matching ballast, so I replaced it with this fixture. The install is really easy, it comes with wire connectors, pretty easy. Because I was replacing a old fluorescent light I didn’t have an existing box, but it attaches directly into the drywall and a ceiling joist. Works very well.
In my opinion I think having good lighting is crucial for people with low vision as they wouldn't have to bend down trying to search for an item on the floor (like myself 😂)
.this is a great suggestion. I have low vision as well. right now I'm going from hotel room to hotel room so the lighting here really sucks. I mean I can see the lamps and where the lights are at but I'm basically still bumping around in my room. so it's hard for me to see a lot of the stuff. I have to leave the bathroom light on just so that it's basically like tells me working my Walker so I can walk straight ahead. so yeah, I use a walker instead of a cane mainly so that if I do nothing to something I won't trip over it. but thanks for the suggestion, why do you find out permanent place, that's probably the first thing I'll do, switch out the lights. anyways, have a good day. and God bless you
Great video Sam! I love LED lighting. My wife and I are building a house and we will be adding some of these lights. It is so annoying as a visually impaired person to be bumblng around in a dim or shadow filled area because of poor lighting when something this simple can make this much difference.
Hey Sam. You are definitely right! Better lighting is always better for people with low vision. I was wondering are these lights you’re using in this video, are they like clap off clap on LDE lights? Thanks Sam for another wonderful video! You rock!
Good video, i have 2 can lights from a kitchen remodel. I can probably use one in the hallway, the other i'd like to use in tbe bathroom, but there probably is not enough clearance in the ceiling. Something like this light might work.
These are awesome. So I'm guessing that you would just replace the whole unit if it stops working and not replace individual bulbs? Thanks for the great idea. Also, could you put these up on your own if you have some usable vision? Or would you need two people?
Hi I have the same eve disease I was curious of how do you afford all the helpful gadgets and are there any programs that help pay for some of the items?
Mine can fluctuate and I have found dimmer functions very useful. Got some multi function led bulbs that change color and dim with remote for 12.99 at Target. 3 year life expectancy.
I am thinking a warmer lighting temperature might work better. The big box home improvement stores often have displays demonstrating how different light temperatures look so you can figure out what is best for you.
I need this for my living room and checked out your pick, But I want one that dimmable. Let me know if you hear of one. So many LEDs are dimmable, there must be one somewhere.
Love the lights, but the area I need one has no electricity. Is there something like this that is battery operated? It won't get a lot of use so I don't think I'd have to replace batteries very often, but just have no power in that area.
I desperately need a ceiling fan with better lighting in my bedroom. The one I have now is so dim that even my kids who have perfect vision, comment on how dim it is. Any suggestions?
I just put new LED ceiling fans in my daughter's room and my studio. I'll have a video coming out soon but I have already added them to my Amazon Shop, links in my video descriptions.

G'day Sam
Wow great lighting. Great video again.

I do the same with bathroom light in hotel. Always have or would at the very least pack a night light.

I have low vision too and most of the time I end up searching for things with less lighting lol 😂
Nice video though!

No. no smart function or remote function at all. Just normal lights you turn on wit a switch.
Good knowlidge keep it up

Hi Sam love these videos would you recommend getting some accent lighting from my room
Absolutely, more light is always better!!

Good info, but those lights would kill me lol. I need less light to have better vision. Sucks but that's what my disease does to me.

I would just do a search on Amazon and include the word "dimmable". I'm sure you'll get a bunch of results!
How do the colored ones work with the control? Because I don't want to wake the children when they sleep

Yes, there are a tom of portable lights on Amazon right now! I would just search for "battery-powered LED".

'Alexa, turn on bedside lamp', 'Alexa, dim beside lamp to 40%', 'Alexa, set alarm for 7:30', and,, and, and...
hey friend, are there any screen reader apps that can handle PC video games? That can read user interface menu tabs?
👏👏👏👏👏
