The only reason why the non ahom assamese people still feel great of the ahom empire and lachit borphukan is because the ahoms taught every tribe to love each other and so the unification of assam's different tribes were possible. The shan prince of mong mao chaolung sukepha brought his people the ahoms to Assam and didn't destroy the culture but we added our flavours

Actually not India because Assam was an independent kingdom that had nothing to do with India (besides Hinduism). Assam only became a part of India by the late 1800s, when the Ahom Kingdom had already fallen. Assam fought for itself, not for India.

    • @_gg2561

@@stynershiner1854 Agar apke logic se chalein to to india ka koi bhi hissa kabhi bhi India ka part nahi tha 1947 se pehle, kyunki har jagah ek independent rajwade ka raj tha. Magar aisa nahi hota, assam mein Brahmaputra behti hai jiska puranon mein bhi varnan hai aut jis jagah ka puranon mein varanan hai vo bharat ka hi hissa thi.

Lachit Barphukan is not only India's but also one of the greatest commanders(general) in the world. There may be a few dynasty in the world who reigned 600 years in a kingdom. But it is very sad for us that Indian historians and also Indian Govt has been escaped our golden history from the people of India. Why? Are they jealous of it? What have we Assamese people gain from India after joining with India? We have read about Shivaji Maharaj, Rana Pratap Shing and many other Indian heroes in our study life. But do you know about our glorious history? Do you know the brave Kamrup king Prithu defeated very badly Muhammad bin Bakhtiyar Khilji who destroyed Nalanda University in1206 AD ? Khilji somehow fled away from Kamrup with a few solders(less than 50). This is the fact which is not written in Indian history.
