    When you are a good player you make other players look mediocre. He is a just a better player so for those of you who keep saying he is only good because his competition isn't. You know this how? Have you played any of these teams ?Exactly! He has a God given talent and is just superior to his competition.

    fuck, he is a good defender and will become great defender if he ever goes to NBA.. but i'm not sure about his durability because of the way he lands, scares the shit out of me.. he needs to work on his legs most, especially the calves.

    I'm not sure about the statement elite defender, as much as he got steals and some crazy blocks, it would be good to see if he can really lock down some of the best offensive players who can play at his level. I guess it highlights what we already know about, elite athletic ability but not his defensive skill.

Nowhere in the piece did I find where it stated that he was participating at the varsity level and I am not one to assume that he did, hence my posting. Find another venue in which to direct your "internet courage" as some of us only want to ENJOY not JUDGE the footage being shared, god bless!!!

    I play with guys in their early 20's that are the same height and weight as this kid and they can't Dunk but act like they're the best basketball players on the planet. This kid is 14, can Dunk & can ball overall and from what I've seen in his interviews...he's a pretty humble kid. The kid's first name was due in part to the Seventh Day God had finished his work in the Bible. He's going to be a talent as long as he keeps working hard on the court & in School.

  • @23NaLi
    @23NaLi 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    On top of that, he was just chosen to the 1st team Maxpreps All-Freshman squad for all freshman high schoolers. Essentially placing him in the top five freshmen of this past high school basketball season. I believe the other 4 chosen to the 1st team have all already turned 16. I'm not trying to put them down but showing that this kid is at a level higher than his age suggests possible. He's got the athleticism, skills, and work ethic. Hard to say he won't likely be great.

  • @23NaLi
    @23NaLi 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    *sigh* I understand your sentiment and agree that it's not healthy for these kids to hype them up as the next Jordan when they are only 14 YRS OLD... but you chose the wrong video to say such things. This 14 yr old just made the final cut for the USA developmental team competing against a bunch of 16 and 17 yr olds. This pool of about 20 of the very (and I mean VERY) best 16/17 yr olds will be chosen from to make our Youth bball teams for the Americas and subsequent World championships.

  • @mogamethanu
    @mogamethanu 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    It's the same stuff as in other videos. Let me tell you why though. Only a few COLLEGE scouts (the real deal) knew about him in middle school. Yet, nobody in the public (i.e. HMT) knew about him until high school (27 game season); I'm sure they missed most games. You think he played REALLY well when the media was around, and when they were not he sucked? He needs skill to even do that lol. Yes he's gonna be hyped and YES HE IS GOOD ENOUGH TO GET HYPE. People are amazed by what they are SEEING.

  • @mogamethanu
    @mogamethanu 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    Check the kid before you judge him. The scouting report says he has a good jump shot. Check out his work out video. The kid is well balanced and he is always working harder to improve. You are wicked for saying he'll blow out his knee. He has really good D and he's athletic -so of course he's gonna use those talents. That shot over the backboard was not complete luck, you need a level of fundamental skill to change up mid shot and do that. HMT will only show the flashy stuff. He can shoot.

  • @smad420
    @smad420 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    i wouldn't go crazy calling him the next LBJ or MJ or Kobe or whatever. But I think his opponents are somewhat irrelevant. With no one else on the court, I've never seen a 14 year 360 dunk on a regulation net, much less do it in a game. Shows the raw talent and athleticism is there. He just needs to make sure he keeps practicing, surrounds himself with good influences and strong coaching, and stays out of trouble.

  • @Fps_junky333
    @Fps_junky333 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    yeah defensive wise its probably easy cause some of em do look shitty .. but he can probably do that against anyone considering hes got the body type of mj with long arms and the athletic ability i mean to be a freshmen and 14 years old. hes getting HIGH ! i mean just the leaping ability is incredible. but hes the 2nd best player in the class of 16 which will probably change towards his senior year.. no doubt if he gets better . he'll be the next mj or at least the next star in the future. easil

    For some odd reason, I thought he was a Seventh grader... I felt really bad about myself because i wasn't nearly as close as athletic when I was in 7th... Then I realized, WTF! This kid isn't 15 years old.... Jesus Christ. I was like, this kid is going to the NBA for sure. Now, he still has a chance, just a lot slimmer. Good luck to him, though!

    I have only seen 4 or 5 Seventh Woods videos and, based on that, I can easily answer your question. Excellent. For example, watch his AAU video on here. His team was down 3 pts with about 2.6 secs left. His team has ball out of bounds, passes to him bout half court, takes 1-2 dribbles, pulls with defender on him...cash...splash...money. Overtime and his team wins.

  • @iballr2
    @iballr2 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    If you look at the amount of views of this video compared to his hoopmixtape(offense video) people dont look at defense even though it is a crucial thing in a game people always look at offense but im not saying that scoring is wrong its just that one person can get overlooked all because he couldnt score as much as another player but great vid he has good defense and offense

  • @ronartest77
    @ronartest77 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    I don't think you realize when you play basketball you don't need a fucking jumpshot. If you can play defense like that and score on fastbreaks you can win in highschool basketball but people don't realize that. If you can make a lay up or dunk 9/10 times and play great defense and get a steal every play you can win a lot of games...

  • @man1cdr1v3r
    @man1cdr1v3r 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    enough people! enough... just admit... admit he's fucking talented and probably owns anyone in the gap of 2 years (14-16). He's just an exceptional athlete, and has a future... I'm sorry you're not as good as him, or your dream didn't happen yet or at all.. But shiit.. hats off to him... he's a F**** BEAST!!!!!! WAAAAAAATT!!!!

  • @merenfroe
    @merenfroe 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    He can steal the ball and block shots from 13 year olds who are barely learning the game. Does he have ball handling skills, a jump shot, play making ability?....probably...but does this highlight reel make him the best 14 year old in the country...maybe just a tad bit of hype...

  • @jbf5131
    @jbf5131 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    For all you comparing him to Lebron or MJ, you have no idea what it takes to achieve that level of greatness, if he were doing this against nba players right now yeah go ahead and make comparisons, until then remember he's a 9th grader and compare him to other kids in his class

  • @NikeAllDayProduction
    @NikeAllDayProduction 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    OK!! This kid is UNREAL!! First off hes only a freshman!! It looks like your watching a senior out there. And second off he actually knows how to play defense and use angles to get to the basket and once he gets there, theirs no stopping him!! He's definitely got B-O-U-N-C-E!!

    Seventh Woods is the number 1 rated kid in the 2016 class on SportsPresstv. I don’t know what the other recruiting services are doing, he is clearly the top player. Giles is hurt, and he has a tremendous handle and coupled with elite athleticism.

  • @TheBlackLarryBird
    @TheBlackLarryBird 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    Well, to be fair I'm pretty sure he's on his schools varsity team so it's a 14 year old going up against 16 to 18 year olds. And I mean he just looks vastly superior athletically already. He's definitely a great prospect at sucha young age.

  • @jbf5131
    @jbf5131 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    People saying he's older, it could be, but lebron was also bigger,faster, and stronger than most of the kids he played against in 9th grade, granted some of these kids(not all though) are scrubs, but he'll still be a star for sure
