Hebrew nonsense? Is that what you said? Interesting use of words there. You do understand that the Meprolight is made by Israel, and is being used in Gaza to eliminate Hamas…probably one of the only dots in this examination that is actually being used today in actual combat, aside from the EoTechs.
The intro is always awesome
Thanks!
I was thinking the very same thing. Acid strong.
This is the type of intro my autism can appreciate
What type of art do you make?
*Finishes intro, sets notifications to all.
Based
you gotta start doing these alone or with hop or brassfacts…
Agreed. That or help your dude out with his audio/ speaking. I understand that the camera is a mirror and mirrors are for women. It takes either a feminine man or a brave man to be on camera. Teach your homies to be brave
Agreed lol
We are making improvements.
@@FocusTripp he had some good points ❤️
I gotta say, Brass Facts' face over Chani(Zendaya) is an actual improvement to the Dune films.
agreed
1000%
man, this brings me back to calling my grandma overseas, complete with the lag and polite 'go ahead' whenever josh starts talking and then nods off.
haha
Hop is the lisan al-gaib of optics
Don't belive the false prophet!
There is only one true messiah and his name is C_DOES!
Hop is still king of snarky night vision content though..
Not putting Eotech in S invalidated the discussion. If the glass breaks it still works BTW. it has ranging and is actually usable under nods
Lol love the guntuber version of Dune to start off, great content as normal
"I have never seen an aimpoint break."
I finally gave in and bought one this year due to the ungodly price. Broken out of the box. Aimpoint tried to blame me, then I had to go lawyer mode on them (I am an actual lawyer). Issue, front glass improperly glued, could not see through the front glass b/c there were mountain ridges of epoxy all over the front glass. I suppose it 'worked' if you want to split hairs.
EDIT: I have also had an issue with xtpro, but not as pissed b/c it is $500, and it was such a minor issue, don't even remember what it was....Oh...the shake awake was not that sensitive on an FDE version, had to give it a little tap when I picked it up sometimes.
You can get 2 Aimpoint T2s, and a SPUHR mount for them for less than the Romeo 9T.
Hamburger hamburger hamburger cheeseburger 😭😭 on GAY DIE prime😭😭this mf had me laughing ina public place
No aimpoint Comp M4 or M5 :(
Do you NEED a red dot, but have holes in your underwear, a cracked windshield on your car, your work clothes are your gym clothes, and stopped going out because you can’t afford it!? Get the Aimpoint T1!
This video is the equivalent of virgins rating condoms…little to no experience!
Now stars doth weep in silent woe, As Theoden's spirit begins to go. To halls of old, where heroes dwell, His name in song forever to swell.
cmore railway is extremely popular for steel challenge. huge window, the dot is actually super clear even with astigmatism, no fisheye, unnoticeable parallax, you can change the dot size from 2 to 16 moa by just swapping the 50$ emitter...the whole optic is 250-350$
That is such a niche application but I am glad it works there.
4XT/4T Pro is imo the best red dot on the market right now, better than the T2. 8T is right up there too but just heavy. I own both and absolutely love them. Also incredible for passive aiming under nods.
For the money they are probably unbeatable.
I don't know if I would go so far as to say it's the best but it is certainly up there, is the durability really as good as a T2? I don't know. I'm pretty happy with mine though I'm also happy with my T2.
James and Kevin in the hot tub was content I didn’t know I needed 😂🤣. Well played sir, well played
510c is a solid B tier. Works great under nods too.
I just don't like big open window dots.
@@FocusTripp i see. Price/durability/feature vise it is one of the solid contenders. And yes open emitter is one of its weakpoints if you have crawl a lot in muddy environments. Solid video and thanks for this huge effort. Much appreciated.
Last part of the intro should be a video framed on the wall,
*chefs kiss*
:)
I wouldn’t mind seeing ir laser tier list. It would be insanely spicy
I think Hop and Brass did one.
Price really should be a considered factor. You consider on and off here and there but bang for buck matters a lot. Not everyone is using these for SHTF
Sure but that's something that you can factor in for your own buying decisions.
That intro was fantastic!
That intro was truly outstanding.
The C-More is definitely dated and originally designed for primarily competition shooters in mind, but I used one frequently on a dept. issued Colt 635 mounted on a gooseneck for the better part of a decade with zero issues with somewhere around 25k-30k round count using that combo. I forget exactly what specific model it was, but it had the metal housing and an 8 moa dot.
And those blowback colts are notorious for eating optics like a fat girl near an unguarded cheesecake.
Ha, good to hear!
The red dot in mw1 was the Chinese copy ultradot pan AV same in mw3 the mw2 sight was an oversized doctor red dot sight
Thanks!
@@FocusTripp thank you for the based tier list
After watching this I think a cool video idea would be the same thing but for retro red dots/optics such as old aimpoints ultradots early tasco propoints armson oeg elbit falcon and so on
I would have to get Hop on for that. I know so little about none new stuff
@@FocusTripp that would make it even better so now I really hope it becomes a thing
The intro had me grinning the whole time.
Into was pure climax for people who joined in late. Holy cow
Bro you completely glossed over the fact that the foresight has a crazy heads-up display that is completely bizarre and unique haha
The MRO in green/yellow is super clear, weighs nothing, and many consider it to be as durable as an aimpoint
If Gary only likes the MRO because it's a dot he can see clearly, and it's the only dot he would personally buy, why is his opinion valid after that point? If it's the only dot that matters to him, what purpose would the others serve? He should make an astigmatism tier list then. :p
I thought I could buy a cheap red dot when I got out of the Army, then I found out why they use Aimpoint, Trijicon and Eotech. Because I have astigmatism.
Fun video to listen to. But the fact that the strikefire II landed higher than things like the Romeo 5 is a crime against humanity.
Yeah I agree. I should have put it down in D.
@@FocusTrippgiven the sheer number of red dots you included, there were bound to be some slip ups. The Strikefire II is the worst red dot I’ve used from a “quality” manufacturer.
Also, I blame my producer.
Hop is right about that dual illumination mepro.
My buddy bought one and it lives on his meme rifle.
The guy got so but hurt the MRO isn’t ranked high… he must own one
Love my 4T Pro/Scalar 1.93 mount on a Virtus. Switched from an 8T on a Sidelok.
The weight savings for no real functional difference is just ridiculous...but I will say, the 8T just *looks* so much cooler. And the UH-1? Maybe I got a good one because it's just a peg or two below my Eotechs.
Love the chonks of the 8t. But for 99.9% of people the 4t is better.
Just wish SIG programmed their "NV" button better or just left it out of the design. It's way too easy to accidentally max out the brightness in the dark.
I still miss the Circle Plex reticle as well.
I have a holosun with the acss reticle on it. It looks great under magnification!
Missed the Vortex Sparc Solar. Actually has a usable refresh rate, T1/T2 footprint and good battery life and NV settings.
True, actually decent.
Take a shot every time they talk over each other challenge (impossible)
You will die, we have stuff to work on.
There should be an “Air Soft” Tier of red dots. As for “truck gun”, NOBODY is taking it in and out of their vehicle on a daily basis.
We should have done more meme tiers.
C more is S TIER…. for competition shooting. The metal C more are unrivaled on a non reciprocal mount on pistols and on rifles. I wouldn’t trust it in combat but would recommend it for shooting
Is it better than other big window dots on a pistol?
Let’s get an LPVO tier list
It's on the list.
The salt will flow on that one for sure
They’ll rank a CVLife one the highest for sure.
Aimpoints all automatically go in F tier for requiring a spanner tool to adjust your turrets.
23:30 _"I think the (holosun DRS-TH) effective range of that thermal is thirty something feet"_
I attempted to varify the effective range for this optic. The distance "68 meters" is floating around on multiple forms but no one seems to know where that number originated from.
Though, personal opinion, I think it's poor taste to rank optics that that neither of you guys have personally used.
I think that is a fine take, I wouldn't take our opinion seriously when we don't have experience anyways.
Forgot the holosun 515 series
I didn't like my 515gm
Holosun SCS is groundbreaking. I wish I had them on all my guns. Never needing a battery again.
my fav iron sight set up is a a2 rear and a hk style front sight. the 2 work really well together
ha, weird.
@@FocusTripp its unusual, but it works well because its a ghost ring rear and a hooded front post. the rear ring and the front hood are both circular in share and its very easy for your eyes to line them up. idk why they went with the feather winged front sight protectors on the AR, a rounded hood would have been much better.
Just for this intro alone I subbed.
The eotech 512 that couldn't handle the recoil of a 9in 300 blackout was just a dud because I had one on a 11.8in 308 and shot well over 1k rounds with the 512 attached probably closer to 2k and it worked great. Now my 512 sits on an 11in 556 and I have run probably double the amount I ran with it on the shorty 308 and it is still functioning perfectly.
The AK is very much a modern platform you just need to spend 2-3x more on it to get it battle ready compared to an AR it’s very much a sugar baby
Only 2-3x?
21:01 I have a couple Burris FF3- I purchased them at $135 and a bit more with the ARF3 mount. Low bloom for my astigmatism eyes, seem durable enough especially if you have the metal ARF3 mount. Probably have 1000 rounds of 9mm & 223 one one- 2000 rounds of 22LR on the other. Very simple operation but not shake awake. C tier by your categorization, I’d go A tier if you include value. Perfect for a Ruger Mk4 or PCC if a Romeo5 feels too big
Romeo 5 in C tier is blasphemy. It is probably on more guns than most of these other options. Sure it’s not the best quality but throw it on a $20 UTG mount and you have a very good red dot for the value. Good vid as always 💯
lol, I see more Holosuns than Romeo 5's used. C tier is fair for the Romeo 5!
I run one on my scar17💀… never failed me nor shifted
Romeo5 has been tortured against the T2 quite a bit and it holds its own against that T2 very well for the price point. Never had a issue with my Romeo5 optics and definitely feel it should be higher than C
@@demon_milk_man8686 Drop a link of the Romeo 5 going against the T2, lol
@@AncientMorbidity1991just search the torture test
MRO Patrols with kill flash and caps is a great red dot, BUT you can not magnify it.
why not?
@FocusTripp you can magnify the new HD models but the original, and the pro patrol are actually not a true 1× power it is like 1.1× power because the front window and back window are different sizes when you put a magnifier in front of it, there is distortion the dot turns into a small line.
@@justanotherinternetexpert7743 ahhh
The romeo 8t practically doesn’t exist because it is unobtainium. They’re all being shipped overseas(I imagine)
Should be coming back soonish
I was looking like 2 months ago, it had that same lead time and none have popped up in my in stock notifications, got an exps 3-1 instead
I was wondering why I couldn't find them, thanks.
I hope your right Tripp, I still kinda want one. Granted I lost my benchmade at work sometime this morning and it never popped up soooo it’s gonna be a min now before I can afford it😢
Send me a PM. Got one to move.
In my opinion the Romeo 4XT PRO is the best small profile red dot on the market. Most features available for the price. They’re great
agreed if QC issues are resolved.
You can get a T2 For about $60 more than the 4XT PRO and have more confidence in the QC.
I own THREE Romeo 4Ts, all work great!
@@AncientMorbidity1991 but it is not nearly as feature rich. If you love the eotech reticle or you like the auto off/auto on feature the 4XT PRO is your best bet
@@wisco_guy I personally have 2 that have been excellent and I think our swat team are about to buy 20. So I’ll have a decent sample size to see how they hold up
Only 2 surprises. I was a little shocked how high up the rating tier the strikefire was and I would assume the gen 2 is also rated that high also? Secondly I was surprised the UH-1 fell down to the mid tiers? I have a gen 1 and gen 2 and like both especially the gen 2. Enjoyed last nights comparison and looking forward to lpvos next. You have become one of my go to optic review channels, keep the great content coming. Also would love to see your opinion of the new gideon optic s lpvo.
I probably would have put the Strikefire down lower in retrospect. I have had a chance to look through it and I think the reticle is simpler than most people will like.
Haven't seen the video yet but I already liked it 💪
You put the spitfire over the MRO HD and equal to the huey and Romeo 5… I’m disgusted.
Yeah, that's way too high.
Comp m5 is def bright enough, it just doesn’t have as many levels so it makes bigger leaps between settings .
lol love the intro
Immediately buys a romeo 7
PRO and Romeo 5 deserved to be bumped up a tier. 2nd hand market for PROs and COMPs all day long for cheap.
Used market does change things up a little.
Not a holosun fanboy in any way, only have experienced the HS510C. But to say they are equivalent to Iron sights seems pretty dumb? Any tool that speeds target acquisition and retains zero has to be higher... Its just logic...
They are above it in C tier, Iron should be bottom of C tier.
Brother where's the Vortex sparc/crossfire 2 and the primary arms t2 clone? Both so solid
I would have probably put them mid/high
Damn, intro putting War Mode to shame
The irons belong in C thank you for talking him out of his nonsense 😂
Sick intro!! Thanks for these lists! Romeo 8T is nowhere to be found anymore!!
I don't know what their issue is.
That intro was an absolute fucking masterpiece.
I saw someone take a 510c and beat the crap out of it mounted on an AR, dropped it on the optic, put it under water, took it off the rifle and put it in a bucket of water, froze the entire bucket, busted the ice off the optic, installed it back on the rifle and the emitter was still working and it held zero.
I bought that fucker the next day and I even got it for $100 less than it was going for.
WINNING
I am glad it's working for ya
I had a chance to try a Lies&Scams It was sub-mid.
Imma need your mailing address.
@@FocusTripp Is this a callout? Because use I would prefer a Waffle House for that.
I came here for a teir list not some ridiculously awesome intro. Thank you Mr. Hill.
I would put two T2s on a rifle before I even considered spending 4k on a 9T lol
I did get one Romeo 5 that the red dot went out. Got a replacement and it’s perfectly fine. And two other I’ve had are working perfectly but ig that’s expected for a very budget ( still “good”) red dot
I have heard of those same issues. definitely less QC.
Only complaint I’ve had with the 4xt is the battery life. I’ve had it for 1.5 years and I’ve replaced the battery twice. I would attribute it more to using the circle dot reticle than to QC issues.
That is kinda what I have heard as well.
Thats definitely due to the circle dot
The sad fact that these high end S tier optics still lag behind with an auto on/off feature is ridiculous.
That's a nice feature to have, but having better glass and build quality is better.
@@FocusTripp I agree, but to not add a simple $20 feature is pretty sad. The industry and the consumers need to do better to make manufacturers aware that if they want us to spend $500+ on a red dot then it needs to have better technology than a $250 holosun.
The Romeo 9 is realistically like $1200. It’s literally less expensive to buy and mount 2 aim points of your choice on one rifle and just use them instead of the Romeo 9.
agreed
TRS-25 is C tier for sure. Rugged, daylight bright, cheap, and crawled so all those clones could run.
I agree if we made the list 5+ years ago.
@@FocusTripp fair enough
ah, yes, the Aimpoint Pro, the poor man's Vortex Strikefire II. Yeh it's alright I guess. but it'll never be as good as a VORTEX STRIPEFIRE II MADE BY VORTEX w/ GRED & BREEN COLOR RETICULES
Really feel the EXPS3 deserves S Class status but then again no normie is ever going to watch and base their purchase on thie video. 😂
I hope not. I think the EXPS 3 is the best optic for glass and passive aiming, but not everybody is into that sort of thing.
Granted I got a gen 2 huey from a going out of buisness sale for 350 all I can say is I have no regurts
that's a good deal on it anyways.
Used prices are a bit different on a lot of those
$450-500 - 4XT pro
$550-600 - 8T
$500 - MRO HD
Etc etc etc you get the point lol i suggest Tacswap or GAFS buying from reputable people on there
I guess one of these days I have to check out this Dune thing everyone keeps talking about. I don't get any of the references.
It's not great.
Thanks guys
Our pleasure!
Never had an issue with my swampfox justice with over 5k rounds through it
Good to hear.
The Vortex Strikefire II is D tier at best. 4 moa dot and unless you have the brightness on max the refresh lags so bad you can notice yourself losing track of the dot going too fast from target to target.
Yeah I should have put that lower.
About the UH-1 (Gen2). I dont get how u say it is wore than eotech in every single way. Its the opposite way. Better batterylife (1500h vs 1000h), its actually lighter than the eotech and the glass quality is great. No blue tint whatsoever. I guess u had the gen i in mind because that was actually trash. Yes the refresh rate is slower but thats the only thing. AT LEAST deserves b tier
I am glad it works for you.
10:55 "Aimpoint Pro has 15,000 or 10,000 hour battery life."
It's 30,000 hours. Comeon bro, literally no rifle red dot still in active production in 2024 has only 10,000 hours. Not trying to be a jerk, but I did enjoy the rest of your video. I just really like Aimpoint Pros.
The holosun thermal is good to 300 yds
😂😂😂😂 intro is hilarious
Too many people upset with red dots that use AA or AAA batteries when these batteries are available in lithium
I like AAAs
Painful video. Can you two not constantly try and talk over each other and then follow it up with dead air?
No
@@FocusTripp fun 👍🏻
Another fun one! Thanks for the share!!
Glad you enjoyed it
I love the thumbnail rankings
Those are the fun ones.
That intro 😂😂
🤣😂🤣😂Hilarious start!
The thermal holosun works out to 300yds but actually being able to see your target that far away using the dot isn't happening. Also the zero is different when you change from normal red dot to thermal mode, why that is I don't know.
There is an AEMS max model that came out recently.
I like my holosun 515GTC, it's a prototype that never got released due to the coof. Basically a clone of an aimpoint T2 with better glass and a battery cap instead of a tray.
Interesting. I will be interested in seeing some videos on the new optics.
Which sightmark did you put as an S tier? Didn't mention or spend any time talking about it.
vortex uh-1 is way better than C , US made, double battery life than standard eo
I am glad it works for you.
