I have a M7 version of this monitor. The ratio between the price and quality was excellent at that point of time. After using a 32" monitor (M7&M8 are having the same format) I would opt in for 34" because I would be able to fit 3 browser windows in vertical mode. And if you sit close to the monitor, while working from home, the edges seem to be blurred a little bit and you need to reposition yourself to have a better view. To Apple Users - The Top TVs in the world with the utmost best panels in the world for picture quality are all 4k panels spread over 55+ inches (laugable ppi right?), but when watching the TV you don't spot pixelation as you won't be viewing a 55 inch TV from up-close, unless you wanna damage your eyes. Thanks for them video, my monitor is snapping on to the stand as you mention, it doesn’t lock, when you tilt you see a gap?
Hi Tim,
How to use the slimfit camera as video call camera while using zoom/google meet with MacBook connected via cable? I was searching for an answer since days after the monitor is bought. no solutions found. Google duo is not available in Dubai, so that inbuild app also doesn't work.
Should work via USB - C. Restart\unplug monitor after plugging in. I had similar issue but with PC
The camera can be raised and lowered, not just tilted.
This is a beast!
Can this monitor be used with a MacBook Pro 2016 which only has lightening bolt slots?
I wish they have 120hz with that beautiful 4k resoltion plus I want it vesa mounted so I can have it ontop of my gaming monitor so I can make my dream setup for content creation and gaming.
Is it possible to extend MacBook display to 2 such monitors, both via AirPlay?
Any idea when this will be available in India or a way to buy it in India currently?
Wow sound like a great monitor to buy, did you mention the price? Also being that it brings all these other channels goes it works without having internet to what those channels and what about Netflix and other video streaming does it require internet or you can do it from your phone.
Looks to be $699 USD if you live in the U.S. Not sure about other region's prices.
UK price will probably be around the £700 mark.
This will be perfect for me in the UK. Our main TV channels are pathetic here. So all I need is my WiFi connection for it. Or even using my phone as a tethering hotspot (as I have unlimited data).
My laptop is Asus Vivobook S15
It has USB 3.0 gen 1 ports and HDMI.
Can I use external 4K monitor by this laptop?
If yes then what will be the max video output?
I mean regulations & refresh rate.
Good stuff Tim
Can you comnect two of these?
Amazing man!

Hi bro I will like u to please help me with this problem, a few weeks ago I bought an Samsung phone and, when I opened it and started to set things up I opened the settings app and it said that the app was not responding, an week later the problem had resolved, can u please help me to what went on?
1:54 and 2:06 are the same clip oddly but small edit overseen
looks like a great monitor
Noticed the same thing, thought I was going crazy at first 😅
The lack of a VESA mount and the panel being VA and not IPS makes this a hard sell for $700
IPS has wider viewing angle but other than that, the rest are mostly inferior. The contrast ratio is atrocious and don't let me even started with IPS glow issue. VA is way better than IPS especially for monitor use. It's a fact.
is this a good monitor for editing ?
The monitor is awesome. Would I be able to attach a monitor arm to it?
I would've appreciated Google Assistant built in :/
You made a very beautiful video. I follow you from Senegal
Does This smart monitor have google play store? Or other kind App Store?
Hey Tim, is there any way to do audio out from the monitor? Think you can use an adaptor from the usb c out port to audio jack? I’m trying to get audio out to my audio deck where I manage all my studio sound. Thoughts?
nice ... 32inch very nice
I have 2 SAMSUNG 32-inch M7 Smart Monitors, now I wish I had waited to get these. However, my monitors were dirt cheap because of their age.
This isn't a bad monitor...not for Pro work, tho .... for someone looking to get this, a better deal could be a mid-grade 43-50 inch 4K TV and use it as a BIG display. You can get a decent panel with HDR, dolby and acceptable blacks, ChromeCast, Airplay etc (and a bigger screen) for easily under 600 USD .... some budget brands have stepped up their game.
😍this is gorgeous!!!
