    투명한 색을 왜 넣으셨나 했는데 생각해보니 석류알이 끝부분이 투명했네요!! 마지막에 조그맣게 자른 젤리가 석류알이랑 똑같이 생겼어요! 너무 영롱하고 예뻐요ㅠㅠ 석류 엄청 좋아하는데 넘 먹고싶네요❤

      i would think as long as you used the same amount of juice it should be the same amount of gelatine.

      I think it's okay to use another juice~
      Sugar may need to be adjusted depending on the sugar content of the juice~

    Hello, your recipe looks delicious - and I hope to make it soon! The recipe called for 60 grams of "starch syrup". What type of starch syrup did you use: rice, tapioca, corn, sweet potato, or soemthing else? There are so many types and the results can really vary. (In the West we often use corn syrup, but that is the least used in the East.)
    Then you also put some white strips in at :50 and squeezed them out at 2:07. What was that? What would be a possible substitute for that? (I've made candy, in the US for a long time and have never seen that before - and also tried finding something similar online, but had no luck so far.) Thanks for your help in advance!

      i think your best bet is to use corn syrup

      And for the "white strips", those are unflavoured gelatine sheets instead of powder. You need to soak them in cold water to "bloom", because they are initially stiff

      @@meganmclendon5063 Thanks, but corn syrup is a very "western thing" and has a very heavy flavor. Personally I would use rice syrup, if they don't respond, as it's the most typical in Eastern confections.

      She writes 물엿 in Korean, which is specifically corn syrup (also common in Asia)! Asian brands have a gentler flavor than western ones, if you have an Asian grocery store nearby I recommend getting it from there but Karo light or any other thing at the market should be fine too. Hope this helps! (:

    What do you do with the water (that you soaked the gelatine in, do you just dump it or do you use it, if so, what do you use it in)?

      you would usually just discard the water. if you soak the gelatine in a shallow tray instead of in a jug as shown in the video, you don't need to use as much water :)

      i think it's possible! it won't be as chewy though, the texture will probably be more brittle. there's a type of japanese agar dessert called kohakutou which is similar to this recipe.

      starch syrup is any type of syrup derived from starches! this includes corn syrup, rice syrup, malt syrup, glucose syrup, etc... it can be found quite commonly in stores, but i think it is possible to make your own :)

      use the same weight, 18g, but you also need to bloom it in water 5x it’s weight. so bloom 18g of powder gelatin in 90g water
