The show is a masterpiece and Red John is probably the best developed villain that I have ever seen on any movie/tv show. The fact that they managed to drag him out to 6 seasons and still made it interesting and satisfying proves my point. I also love the fact that Patrick was not transitioned into one of those good guys who turn the cheek or forgive their nemesis. He got his revenge and killed Red John with his own hand, no pretending he was the good guy.
by commenting this you have essentially become what you hate, you are arrogant, prejudicial, patronizing, you look down on critics, you generalize a group of individuals with diversified opinions, you ignore the flaws, you ignore the numbers and polls, you imagine the TV show a classic when its numbers tell an entirely different story, you lie to yourself it is a good show when greater ones such as Breaking Bad, Prisonbreak and Game of Thrones proved to be fallible, you are a gullible man stuck in his own dream refusing to wake up, you refuse to acknowledge constructive criticism which has clearly stated the show’s flaws without subjectivity, you are sad. a sad sad person. i dont know if my reply will wake you up or throw you down a deeper void, all i know is that it is your choice to learn and achieve acceptance. accept the fact that the show did not end well and move on. there is no use in denial, those who disagree with you win by a landslide, the number of cons outweigh the pros, the show started with a bang and ended with a whimp, it could’ve been better, a lot better, and you know that. Subverting expectations with extreme disappointments is just a lie. If you are incapable of understanding how bad that writing is, you have no right to criticize critics who took up film studies in college and spent years on analyzing and comparing films. you are no professional, but some of them are, and already you’ve lost your credibility. In conclusion: some of the critics are pros and you aren’t even a critic, you are biased and there is no factual evidence to prove the show was as good as you claim it to be, ratings and view counts and time slots and reviews and ad revenues and even youtube views disagree with you. The closest thing to your false image would probably be Lucifer before it got picked up by Netflix, mixed reviews and bad CGI but massive fanbases and enough community support and polls to act as proof of popularity, things that The Mentalist do not have. Wake up, it’s a decent show that did not end on a high note, just be glad it at least entertained enough people for it to be remembered.

Amazingly, Sheriff McAllister appeared in the 2nd episode of the series. Patrick beat him at a game of rock-paper-scissors. I wonder if the writers had already worked it out for him to be red john, or if, years later, when it came time to pick somebody to be red john, they went back through the episodes and picked him at random.
No they had already planned it... remember the episode which Jane release a prisoner who’s not guilty for his crime in order to share information about Red John and at the end of the episode he writes on the wall with his blood “he is MAC” ..... This means that they had planned it from even season 1

Desperately in love with the Mentalist...I discovered it just few months ago I just finished to watch the sixth one. As a lot of you said I loved the way Jane killed Red John with his hands. I waited for his revenge with him and the team. Simon Baker is an awesome actor and Patrik Jane a wonderful character...I enjoy my last season 😢
This is just so brilliantly done. The editing is perfect and the emotions conveyed are heartfelt and amazing! This is one compelling video! Great job my friend and fellow fan!
nicely done. Having a man who is your enemy is part of life, he can be reasoned with or you can move away from him and carry on. But having a shadow or demon going after you will take resources and time beyond your mortal needs. A man can take your comfort A demon will take your peace
Xander Berkeley really did a great job at embodying Red John. When he shows up at the chapel, you can truly read cold madness in his eyes. I've just rewatched the whole series and found that reveal even greater.
When he's saving Jane on the roof and he makes that creepy joke and says bad place to get the spins you see his eyes, and you start to see the real red John ( Goosebumps very creepy) Jane looks worried but he has no choice but to grab his hand or he'll fall , also very thrown he's not afraid of heights after trying to trick him all episode into going on the ladder or near the cliff , Red John definitely knew what he was up to and was messing with him Jane looks powerless , someone had already told me who Red John was and I was like whah but then saw that episode and was like ok I believe it
One thing I love the most about this show, is that before he killed Red John, all the episode titles had res or one of its variations in it (scarlet, crimson...). Then after he killed him, the titles had every other colour except for red. He was finally free of Red John.
Happened to come across scenes of the Mentalist getting recommended to me, so I decided to rewatch the show. Damn, never gets old man. I remember my family getting together to watch it during dinner... that was so wonderful ^^ this vid is great! I always *loved* that he got his revenge, and the set up with other characters that it can be worth it and fulfilling. A different perspective on it rather than complete vilification is always fun and gives human complexity, life to the story. The Mentalist was fun, emotional, captivating, and just all around magnificent!
After watching friends and how i met your mother, i started to watch this. I don't know why this one bonded differently. I guess once in a while in each of our life, there lives a Patrick jane. Finding a purpose to continue living.
I was so relieved that the writers didn't have Jane have a change of heart about killing Red John. It annoys me when shows build up a character saying that they will kill the bad guy, and then have them not go through with it. The fact that Jane killed him made me enjoy and appreciate the show even more by the time I finished it. More shows need to take that approach over the whole "if you kill them you will become like them" drivel.
8:30 was the real clue who red john was. If you pay attention before nameing sheriff tomas mcallister lorelai is just name dropping, but when she comes to red john he's the only one whose name she reads mentioning the titule sheriff first hinting his big ego

@@enochlo9156 statistics and box office are not valid argument to determine the quality of a show or movie, there are real masterpieces that failed at the box office and realy bad movies/shows that were a massive success. and critics CAN be extremely arrogant, demanding originality and then shitting on every original show/movie they come across, while kissing the ass of completely unoriginal shit. so instead of writing a 12 line essay shitting on his opinion you bring up some objective arguments?

I would do the same with the murderer of my family. And I am a woman!!!
I would like to watch a prequel on the rise of Red John. How he became a serial killer and how he built his empire. You're welcome authors for the idea !!
Wow, this shit can be AMAZING
That would be cool but there wouldn’t be patrick jane in the series so idk
Same bro
cringe
sure, as if the creator and the writers hadn't already thought about that
When she tells him his daughter never woke up. The look on his face kills me
I cried with him😪
The Tribute took me for a ride in The Mentalist world and in my memories. I Thanks you for making me feel that.
thank*
Who ever put this together did a great job. The compilation of all the scenes are a story unto themselves and the music in the background adds to the drama as it unfolds. Again whoever did this, you did an awesome job. I watched the series but after we finish our current binge watching (MASH), we’re going to rewatch the series again. I put this up there with NCIS, The West Wing, Star Trek...
Can't get this out of my mind. God, I m so addicted to this show. Love the expressions of patrick. Just mind blowing... Can't watch anything else... I wish if we get fresh new season again. Waiting for it
Kamal Bajaj same here bro 🔥❤️
Sahi kaha bhai
I got too much addicted to this show
Kuchh aur dekhne ka mann hi nahi krta
Simon Baker wins my heart everytime he cried I cried too..
"What would you do?" That single sentence is incredibly deep. What would *you* do if someone took everything and everyone you loved?
Go to the police and report it so that the criminal can be sentenced in court :)
kill him or die trying

Probably wipe out not just the killer but his whole family line, previous and future.
And that's the bare minimum for me. That would be the extent of my fury.
@@DripSerpent Hey how about not being racist buddy
Accidentally got this series from telegram and started to watch the first episode... Then became an addict to Jane, Lisbon, Cho, Rigsby, Van Pelt, Abott, Wylie, Vega and everyone...
Such a well crafted series❤️
Was very disappointed when it over... Always loved to watch this series... Superb casting... Simon Baker, love you a lot as Patrick Jane... ❤️❤️❤️
Nothing more to say...
Always ❤️ The Mentalist...
It gave me chills when he revealed his red John voice to Jane
Jane is actually red John himself behind whole time.
@@riskyie2607 that's impossible since there was a scene when Red john saved him while dressed as emperor Palpatine
@@NitpickingNerd fun fact, Simon Baker said in an interview he portrayed RJ in that scene and ALSO he has always voiced him in his appearances. Look it up
Addicted to this series . Jane a wonderful character.
I'm so disgusted that they are taking the mentalist off of netflix

You can't let people see what's in your heart.. that's so powerful when he says that..it gives me a shiver down my spine holy..
I thought for all the episodes that John was Patrick double personality and he was a freaking psycopath
Awesome theory.
I actually thought that too
🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️
Efrem Tommasi that wld be such a sick show
Mee too.
They hadn't. By the end of season 4, Bruno Heller still wasn't sure who Red John was.
No they had already planned it... remember the episode which Jane release a prisoner who’s not guilty for his crime in order to share information about Red John and at the end of the episode he writes on the wall with his blood “he is MAC” ..... This means that they had planned it from even season 1
@@pinsararulz346 In an interview after the Red John reveal, Heller says that the idea of Red John only came up a couple of years ago. Here is the link.
collider.com/simon-baker-bruno-heller-the-mentalist-interview/
@@pinsararulz346 Also I checked thementalist.fandom.com/wiki/Red_John%27s_Friends?file=Heismar.jpg
It seems to me that it's unclear whether it was Macalester or some adjective/noun.
Pinsara Rulz it says he is MAR actually. this was again another piece of foreshadowing which meant little to nothing. maybe it was short for ‘he is marked’ ie the tattoos, but heller admitted he didn’t know who RJ was until season 5.
Just finished the series and I came to this😢😭😭. Such a good series.
The relief Patrick felt after killing Red John. Whyy is it so satisfying? I don't knooww.
We waited 6 seasons for that moment, thus, it was very satisfying to watch, but it was a very short moment though. 6 seasons is a lot.
Why* know* learn to type
My dear you must be very young. Wait to know real pain and you"ll understand!
After red john finally meets patrick they should have played rock paper scissors.
Thank you. This was certainly one of the greatest shows I've ever seen and yours was one of the best tributes.
I still miss The Mentalist I have been watching plenty shows but this is the only one I cannot shake out of my head I don't understand why they stopped it
Whoever made this video is a genius guy, I had been searching for something like this. Wish Mentalist had more seasons. I can't get Patrick out of my mind, he's been entrenched in to my psyche. These type of TV Series are hard to find these days.
My name is uttam too its quite rare

This tribute is the best video I have ever seen. This video contains the powerful dialogues, the complete storyline divided in perfect 4 parts; the prologue, join of CBI, Finding the hint, and finally confrontation of The red John.
#The_Mentalist is the perfect TV show, with a perfect portrayal of Patrick by Simon Baker.
Simon Baker just makes you feel everything. The perfect TV show.
P.S. My first ever comment on TH-cam
The first comment must be for special and here it goes to The mentalist.
Analysis 10/10. Thank you!
Not to mention the music didn’t ruin the scenes
I only now took notice that she said Sheriff Thomas McAllister...
all the other ones she just told their names.
Yeah I found the show in like late June and finished the series about 3 days ago. Was an amazing series.
A man can take your comfort
A demon will take your peace
The last minute so deep 💔
Xander Berkeley really did a great job at embodying Red John. When he shows up at the chapel, you can truly read cold madness in his eyes. I've just rewatched the whole series and found that reveal even greater.
When he's saving Jane on the roof and he makes that creepy joke and says bad place to get the spins you see his eyes, and you start to see the real red John ( Goosebumps very creepy) Jane looks worried but he has no choice but to grab his hand or he'll fall , also very thrown he's not afraid of heights after trying to trick him all episode into going on the ladder or near the cliff , Red John definitely knew what he was up to and was messing with him Jane looks powerless , someone had already told me who Red John was and I was like whah but then saw that episode and was like ok I believe it
This makes me want to rewatch the whole series again!!!
still watching it over and over
me too!
Me too 😘😘😘
One thing I love the most about this show, is that before he killed Red John, all the episode titles had res or one of its variations in it (scarlet, crimson...).
Then after he killed him, the titles had every other colour except for red. He was finally free of Red John.
And this convinced me to watch this series for the second time
How can i watch it?

Happened to come across scenes of the Mentalist getting recommended to me, so I decided to rewatch the show. Damn, never gets old man. I remember my family getting together to watch it during dinner... that was so wonderful ^^ this vid is great! I always *loved* that he got his revenge, and the set up with other characters that it can be worth it and fulfilling. A different perspective on it rather than complete vilification is always fun and gives human complexity, life to the story. The Mentalist was fun, emotional, captivating, and just all around magnificent!
Still to this day one of the best series out there, hands down.
After watching friends and how i met your mother, i started to watch this. I don't know why this one bonded differently. I guess once in a while in each of our life, there lives a Patrick jane. Finding a purpose to continue living.
RJ:"game's over and I won"
Jane: it's not a game i asked to play
Dont get the point of this comment
Never seen a better compilation of Janes character. Kudos
I'm crying... OMG 😭
I love The Mentalist And this really good 💖
"Red John belongs to me"
He killed him with his own hand...
Indeed he was belong to him.. indeed.
when Kristina tells him his daughter never woke up.. the look on Simon's face - I remember completely breaking down the first time I saw it.
The series that made my childhood and most of my teenage years. Love Kimball, Teresa and Wayne with all my heart. Thank you for making this Muzo
I’ve only just begun watching, I think I’m hooked.
Red John was never just a person... He was an idea. He'll live on forever.
LonELY ehh that’s kinda worrying
8:30 was the real clue who red john was. If you pay attention before nameing sheriff tomas mcallister lorelai is just name dropping, but when she comes to red john he's the only one whose name she reads mentioning the titule sheriff first hinting his big ego
And also if u rewatch Ep2S01 red john who is the sheriff tried to kidnap Vanpelt but Wayne R. punched him; that was a sign that he was a killer.
Oh... you missed the best one. When Red John sends a message to Jane “has he given up”. In that episode Jane goes to cemetery.. you can see Red John’s real Name on the grave in front of his wife and daughter’s.
Aida Đulović Because he is was sheriff. That’s the correct way.

One of the best TV series ever! The characters were impeccable. The last character Vega, fit in so we'll and killing her off was just on point. Man, what a show👍
Once he got a list of names I always wondered why he didn't filter the men under 6 foot out. The clue that the blind woman told him.

I remember... When Patrick killed Red John, I watched that part 3 times to fully enjoy it.
I think that`s the best video about link between PJ and RJ.
Perfect choice for a serial killer, people were expecting a more grandiose villain, but I'm glad they went for the realistic option, that's what makes the show unforgettable. The whole Blake thing was a bit much though.
